Too much Mars in synastry is never a good thing anyway. It fuzzles out soon and leaves either nothing or resentment. IP: Logged |

And his pluto falls in my 5th house also… No planets falls in the 8th house, but I do notice that his 8th house ruler Saturn also sits in his 8th house, and is trine my sun
Then his Saturn is an important sexual planet for him...it trines your Sun, so he is attracted to you

To be honest, the only man I knew with few aspects to his Mars is my ex. It wasn't unaspected, I've never experienced that in my relationships, but he's the only one who didn't aspect my Venus directly. His Mars (9th ruler) squared my Sun (7th ruler) and sextile my Uranus (ASC co-ruler). He's been attracted to me until the end, but he was also attracted to the rest of the female population (Sag Mars in 5th). The funny thing is, I lost physical attraction for him in the last half...oh my, I totally forgot...my Mars - 0 aspects from his planets! Anyways, I'm not sure it's astrology (but of course, how could I forget about my poor 0 cardinal Mars abandoned in the rain lol), but I'm definitely turned off (physically) by womanizers.IP: Logged |

But actually.. as far as i know, Mr.Uranus IS attracted to me, but since he has a girlfriend and is a man of honour for which i respect him, he wouldn't act on it while in a relationship. And his Mars is unaspected by major aspects, only semisquares to Venus and Neptune, a trine to Chiron and a conjunction to Juno. Oh, and quindecile to my Mars. But his Uranus which is both his 7th and 8th ruler, has a ton of exact aspects to my planets and points, and is a part of a configuration diamond. But there is also one another guy who wants me to date him, and he is very attracted to me.. and i mean it - he wants me, and he wants me bad. And he has acted on it, only it was me who rejected. And guess what? his Mars is exactly conjunct Mr.Uranus Mars, thus is also as much unaspected as his. And his other planets even do not make as significant connections to my chart either. IP: Logged |

Kanye's Mars only aspect Kim's Sun, an out-of-sign opposition and nothing else.and her Mars is completely unaspected by his planets. So there you go, people stuck in stereotypes IP: Logged |

Selene, I wouldn´t consider a Mars on your Venus/Neptune-mp with tight semisquares to both as weak or unaspected. It might be traditionally speaking, but to me it seems rather very connected and activating. I consider giving the 8th harmonic aspects more credibility anyway.

Do you give the part of physical attraction to Venus then? Like in the thread about exes?I dunno, to be honest. I've seen synastry between lovers with Mars being unaspected or almost unaspected. At the same time, I have never once been attracted to a man without my Mars being involved. And I'm not even a guy. IP: Logged |

You've absolutely nailed it LeeLoo! My synastry with my current girlfriend leaves me with an unaspected Mars (my 6th house ruler) and unaspected Venus (Excluding major aspects + ruler of 12th and 7th). HOWEVER... My 8th house (Gemini), so the ruler is Mercury. I have Mercury in Gemini, in 8th house and my Mercury tightly aspects all of her personal planets and some of her outer planets (7 planets in total), which could suggest our connection together! i would only raise alarm bells, if a) Mars AND b) ruler of 5th house (maybe also 8th) were completely unaspected. (same for Venus and 7th house)

Yes, indeed. For pure physical attraction, perhaps looking at the 1st, 2nd and 8th ruler as well? However, I'm not sure how long an unaspected Mars can hang in there, especially for a man. Apparently, women are more compliant and flexible - perhaps because they are more adaptable by nature - when their Venus or Mars are unaspected. (some gender stereotypes here, I know, but in practice, from the few examples I know, there are more synastries with female Mars/Venus unaspected in relationships than the other way around)

I wonder if it might mean possibly a more platonic feeling on the woman's part. Like this relationship a friend of mine has: basically there is no romantic passion from her side, it's more like "this guy is a really good companion, he treats me nicely and I don't like to be alone." I need to find out his birth date. But I won't be surprised if her Mars and Venus aren't involved. IP: Logged |

Yes, I have had a crush on someone whose Mars was totally unaspected in our synastry. And even though I was sort of heavily crushng on him, I was not sexually attracted to him at all. It was like I couldn`t even perceive him as a man. Didn`t help that his Mars was in my 12th house probably. lol And he probably did not feel very manly around me either. It just didn`t fly. But I wouldn´t make this a rule for everyone else. Anyway, even if Venus or Mars *seem* unaspected, I have found that midpoint configurations have to be checked, too, as well as the 8th harmonic aspects.

I'm starting to believe in houses in synastry much more than I used to. In my "double synastry" post there are two examples, in both the guy's Mars has contacts to my personal planets, but in the first case it falls into my 5th house, and in the second case into my (empty) 6th. Feels so different.

yes houses make a big difference. Either where something falls or if it touches a houseruler. Personally I am more inclined towards the houses my romantic houserulers are placed in than the romance houses themselves. For example Taurus in 5th house ruler Venus in 1st house I rarely crushed on someone with planets in my 5th house (though it did happen, with Venus and or Mars), but much more often I am drawn to people putting planets into my 1st house. They say it is not a romantic house, well, for me it clearly is. But again I wouldn´t make that a rule for everyone. Other people might have a preference for the 5th house itself, or 7th house. In my case I probably am not too fond of 5th house overlays, cause they do not make any too nice aspects with my personal planets, which are love house ruelrs as well, in the 5th house 6 Taurus is an exception, as it trines my Venus, and maybe even 17 Taurus, as it squares my Moon (even a square is better than nothing or an isolated quinkunx).
And the only men I was crushing on with planets in my 5th house were a guy with Venus on 5 Taurus (trine my Venus) and Moon on 19 Taurus, squaring my Moon, and another guy with Mercury-Mars on 17 Taurus. For any other area in this sign, it is a wet blanket for me. and especially 25-26 Taurus is a No Go, just not that interested (quinkunx my Sun and Mercury), at least speaking about isolated aspects.
