In those situations I would think the planet person usually has the "upper hand" but it seems it really can go either way...

I've had a couple 12th house encounters but have only been the house person that I'm aware of. One who had his venus in my 12th I can't get over to this day, and another had Sun-Merc-Venus in my 12th and he was persistent but I basically wasn't interested from the start. So I'm curious to hear experiences if you've been the planet person... Or any experiences where it seemed one-sided, who ran and what planets were involved?

Venus in 12th is horrible, his Venus fell into my 12th I can't get over him, I don't stalk or feel angry for him but I simply cannot forget, it's like he gave me his soul and I can't let go. I feel like Im a guardian angel or something to him, but I can't let go of these feelings. We let each other go and our goodbye was very romanticised like a scene from a movie. We also had moon Neptune, mars Neptune, mercury Neptune, so very hard to keep it real.

I'm not sure the 12th house or any house can be blamed for "unrequited" though.

For me, "unrequited" is seen in:

- lack of aspects (in this case, romantic aspects, if we're talking love relationships)
- lack of mutuality (in the synastry and in the natals)
- activation of the love houses (5th, 7th, 8th) for one person only, directly or through rulers, which translates as one person not being the other's "type", astrologically.

Exactly my thoughts.

It's wonderful and annoying, really. Annoying because you know you're fooling yourself but you can't help but feel that way anyway. It may be completely one-sided, or it may not; but you still see the person through the Neptunian lens. I don't have such experiences anymore, but they were quite interesting and definitely not easy to forget.

Here's the link to the synastry (outside person's TOB is unknown so disregard the houses).

And here's another synastry, this one was my most epic crush/love/ infatuation/ whateveryouwannacallit; I still think/dream of that person sometimes and it's been years since we last saw each other or spoke to each other. It was obsessive and compulsive to the point of self-destruction. And nothing ever happened in "real" terms, it was all internal. Kind of funny. And tragic.

The first one is not that bad, with all the pattern completion, it wouldn't have been that one-sided, with all the IC planets, but you say it was a distant crush. His love rulers not very aspected though, except for Neptune.

Too bad nothing physical happened with the second, it would have been strong. It's a strong synastry with many mutual aspects and romantic/erotic connections.

You have an unusual configuration, with almost two signs intercepted, if not two, isn't it? Both on major relationships axis, 1st/7th, 2nd/8th ( i mean those signs) which I think plays a big role in being compulsive in relationships. So much Scorpio is already prone to being attracted to unavailable or people who resist or don't show their feelings. Your huge stellium is in there, like a Sleeping Beauty, when someone pushes a button there, it gives you this strong pull to "wake up". But most likely a very special person is needed for the actual awakening to occur. I'd say someone coming from this side rather than the other, someone with many planets in Libra and Scorpio, or someone on the Virgo/Pisces axis which would also be in tune with your intercepted houses, an opposition from Taurus pushes your compulsive nature to the extremes.

You're quite spot on, LeeLoo. =)
Thanks for the little interp.

Oh yeah, the second one was insane, really. Took me ages to get over it, and I'm not completely done yet. Happened during a Neptune trine Venus transit, too, which I read usually points to meeting someone who feels like "the one" or a soulmate of some sort. I'm sure we had (hopefully don't "have" anymore) a soul connection, because it was out of this world. Saturn played a big role, intense DW's all around, which made it very difficult to let go.

Actually, my intercepted signs are in the 5th/11th houses (Virgo/Pisces) and 6th/12th houses (Scorpio/Taurus). So they're not really relationship houses, except for the 5H.

Problematic? You bet! lmao. I have extreme issues with closeness and intimacy, that's why I'm only attracted to unavailable people. It's not difficult to understand. But kind of difficult to deal with.

No one can "awake" me, though, lol. I need a therapist for that. (But maybe if they put some of their planets in my 6H, that could help, IDK).

Oh, I see, 6th cusp looked like 29 Virgo to me, and I was thinking Aries/Libra as 1st/7th axis. Still, the whole signs Aries and Libra and Scorpio/Taurus are in those houses...wow...impressive! When you wake up, you'll be like a garden in an overnight full bloom

LeeLoo -

D'aww... That was cute, thank you.
I hope so. I intend to "wake up," hell yeah! 6th house is all about self-improvement. It may be difficult but not impossible. =)

Ceri -

Yep, good one.

Thank you guys for all the responses I couldn't respond in depth earlier but have read through everything now and appreciate all the input!

@Barbiegirl, that's awesome yeah Venus-Uranus and Mars-Pluto definitely sounds exciting!! And true, I'm sure all the 12th house synastry would help smooth everything out and keep your connection strong on a soul level.. Anyway glad to hear you guys are doing well!

@DeepFreeze, thanks for your response. Interesting she was the planet person but had a harder time, maybe having it natally made it easier for you to let go?

@12muddy, wait sorry do you mean the people with no planets in their 12th couldn't tell how you felt as in.. you actually did like them or didn't? I have no planets in my 12th either and yeah it can lead to being totally mystified by these things lol

@starmoon, wow Id never heard their story before but yeah that is classic 12th house.. secret affair, forbidden love... Could've married her to begin with but missed the chance. Although true he never gave up and got her in the end! Once again so bittersweet...

@Geminigal, that's a really cute story, thanks for sharing!

@NeptunianSag, aww I'm sorry I can totally relate. It's basically impossible to be or stay angry with that kind of connection (even if it leaves you suffering for a long time lol) because you love the persons soul way beyond either of your egos. But who knows maybe you'll reconnect some day?

@Ceri, thanks for the article! Very accurate.. The planet person will see beyond any façade you've created and will encourage you to explore the intangible/nurture your creativity and authentic desires. Can be amazing or uncomfortable, usually both, depending on how much you've been hiding from yourself and others lol

I like that the first synastry has his Sun-Merc-Chiron in your first.. I think 1st house overlays are fascinating too, mutual admiration and can help clear some of the 12th house fog.. But yeah I see that Venus-Pluto might make it difficult to forget

And with the second one damn, your moon conjunct his mars and opp Saturn, intense! And his moon opp your Saturn.. I can definitely see how it would be binding even if you no longer speak to him. As LeeLoo said the attraction seems strong

I notice your Merc is unaspected in both, I've had this too in synastry (it's also unaspected in my natal) and it can be really frustrating, like you literally can't "get through" to the other person or communication has to be on their terms...

For all those with Pisces Rising and strong natal Neptune, the 12th house in synastry is a normal house, ya'll. Nothing to pull out of the sleeves.

Yes, exactly.
It is the case with my brother. Sun and ASC in Pisces, with Sun in 12th house.

His gf does have an Aries-ASC but Sun in Pisces, too, and a bunch of planets in 12th house.

Familiar energy for both of them.

Firemoon, lol sorry I read my post again and yeah I didn't say it clearly.

What I meant was that with people who don't have 12th house planets/don't put their planets in my 12th house, I liked them, but those feelings didn't "grow". I was fond of them and that was pretty much it... They kept "pursuing" n when I asked why they did so they just didn't know. I think the general effect is that they didn't have a clear idea of who I was. One time there was this person who wanted to pursue despite the fact that I was "wrong" for him in so many ways.

I don't particularly get on that well with the majority of my 12H. The cusp is in cancer, and while I do get along with them initially, they tend to turm me off with their less than subtle posessive/clingy ways over time. I'm sure I broke more than one heart bc of that, but in the end I can't help it if I feel trapped. Even just friendships with them can be overwhelming to me.

A single planet or angle in cancer seems to be my long lasting sweetness. I have a male friend who's cancer venus is in my 12h and his leo sun moon merc and mars are in my 1H. We get along really well but I've never felt any romantic feelings for him, ever. I'm not sure on his side, but I guess if he did have feelings for me he would never let me know unless he knew I felt the same. Hmm, interesting thought.

My fiance's asc falls in my 12H, but his sun, merc, venus, and jupiter are all in my 7H. He was instantly everything I ever wanted and needed the moment I laid eyes on him. We've been together just over 3 years now and I still feel like he's the most amazing part of my life. we've even got a 12H composite moon in cancer.. I can't get enough of the raw feeling he brings out in me. Sometimes it's downright freaky how well he seems to get me and understands my current, in the moment needs or wants.

Stop saying Venus in the 12th house is "horrible" seriously. There's a difference between embracing and understanding a deep connection, and not being mature enough to handle it.

Most people lack the maturity to deal with these aspects. Venus in the 12th house in synastry/composite is incredible and transcending. But some people can't handle spiritual relationships so it takes time.

Same thing with Saturn. Everyone loves to blame Saturn. It's there for a good reason

^True that I wasn't mature enough to handle that deep of a connection with someone I met in high school. But the connection is still there all these years later even though we're not together since Venus in 12th can also be hidden and secretive at first so it sure can be horrible waiting for a "right time" that may never come...

And don't even get me started on saturn lol I have it conjunct my Cap sun and wow am I grateful!! (sarcasm) but yeah I know it's twice the work but twice the reward in the end and all that...
