I recently made a new friend who I have an intense, sudden, deep connection with. I have never experienced anything quite like it-- the list of coincidences between us is far too numerous to count. Our geography overlaps repeatedly, we kept crossing paths without actually getting to know each other-- as if the universe was insistent that we meet. Our family histories, our life stories, our relationship patterns, same same same. Eidetic memory, hyper-sophisticated vocabulary, all the same. I'm an astrological novice, but always open to inspiration and insight, no matter what the source. Here's my details: Me: July 17, 1978 4:07 Dallas Friend: October 12, 1980 4:31 Dallas Significant dates in our friendship include: February 17, 2001 May 3, 2013 May 26, 2014 Can astrology offer me insight into this bizarrely-intense friendship? Tyrian,Take a look here for how to generate charts and post them in the forums. You could try a synastry chart between you and your friend to show connections, to begin with. http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmisc.c gi?action=getannounce&ForumNumber=24&Start=2456720.99&End=2458545&Session= For the event dates you've listed, you could add transits for that date to your composite chart (again can be done thru astro.com) to see what, in particular, was affecting your lives. TP, I have a few questions:I take it there is no romantic interest from neither side in this relationship? Just friendship? Are your time of births exact for both of you? Also, could you repost the chart including Vertex, better everything to Vesta Juno on the dropdown menu to the left. It is already apparent it's an important connection due to the nodal contacts to planets. There's also a friendship vibe, but also Sun/Pluto - compulsive, transformative, mesmerizing relationships. This was just at first glance. IP: Logged |

In this universe and this timeline, it's definitely just friendship-- she's very happily married and they have a daughter together, while I've sort of transcended the need for a romantic whirlwind. So in this time and place, just friendship. If the wavefunction had collapsed differently, who knows. quote: Are your time of births exact for both of you?
I'm willing to bet hers is very accurate. Mine is straight off my certificate. quote:

Those are all hits-- there's absolutely a compulsive and transformative dimension to it. IP: Logged |

I want to know EVERYTHING! lol But to narrow it down a tad-- I'd have to say the thing I want most is to know how I can help her. She's helped me a lot already, and I hope I can help her find who she needs to be and create the things she's meant to create. Most of all, she's an expert in astrology, while I'm completely new to the experience-- I want to see what she sees. IP: Logged |

I see (immense) much potential in the progressed synastry for this to be a 'connection for life'. (yes dear all, also friendships are clearly subject to the progressed synastry). Both, geocentrically AND heliocentrically.Currently the Helio progressions are screaming to be heard, so let her talk; - Her Earth/Moon 28'52 Aqua. - His (Tyrian) Venus 28'47 Leo. (Nice applying opp.!) I've seen this particular progressed opposition (helio-helio) quite some times during the start of a relationship. Also; - Her Venus 12 Cap - His Mars 16 Cap ..
Well, shortly after ^^ the progressed GEO will take it over. Specifically; progressed to natal. Sun/Venus conjunctions etc. IP: Logged |

That's a hit. I know it's crazy to think that about someone you've only talked to for a month, but I really wouldn't be surprised to find out we'll still be friends in 40 years. quote:

Could I get a translation? hehe. I'm a scientist who's in the process of losing his faith in the silliness of astrology-- before I met this amazing friend, I barely knew what my sign was.

... Okay. So, I see this post. And I'm like ... 'Oh, my God! You have the same details as my friend!' And I start thinking ... is it him? Is that particular point in spacetime some sort of karmic vortex? Because I'm always drawn to those seeking explanation for intense soul connexions. But then I see the other data. This'll help: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/000226.html This is turning out to be one helluva day .... IP: Logged |

I STILL am like ... WTF ... NESSUS conjunct SUN less than 1º? That's so strange! Unless you're approaching it from a healing and transformative standpoint. Then THAT jives.Hang on ... is that NESSUS conjunct LACHESIS? I'm gonna have to check degree .... Yeah, okay, so, WTF. NESSUS conjunct SUN (exact) and EROS (3º). Plus, I THINK it's TISIPHONE conjunct NESSUS exact. This is weird. J and I have strong NESSUS conjunctions, which seems SO bizarre. Wow. Should our NESSUS be parallel at 36N? Not only is that way OOB, that seems odd. WTF is the deal with NESSUS? Hey, if it's transcendentalism and shifting paradigms and being of the transformative nature -- THAT jives. I would say both of our NESSUS are quite evolved, thank you much. The other one that really grabbed me: DESTINN conjunct CHIRON. Exact. AND CHIRON opposite DESTINN. 1º. How friggin' awesome is that? This thread really speaks to me. "The fact his SUN is exactly on my NESSUS is interesting. Maybe that it's conjunct my CERES is what softens the guy up? " I wonder what that means? Sounds exciting! IP: Logged |

NESSUS is kinda pushy -- to say the least. He's not good with 'no', and often doesn't take it for an acceptable answer. When paired with DEJANIRA, he goes pretty batty. Otherwise, he's known to be ferrying souls across the Styx -- which is undoubtedly transformative. DESTINN conjunct CHIRON was the one that I most recently noted; (we actually have a LOT of synastric aspects; unsurprisingly). Two words: fated. healing. Both ways. 'cross the board. With you, it's more of a stretch (the opposition). I feel like long-lost synaptic connexions are rejoining all over the place. For you, it's more like forming some new ones. Creating bridges which will bring you closer to where you should be getting to. What's REALLY weird is that the DESTINN-CHIRON is 17º TAU. That's J's TISIPHONE. And if you remember your Fates ... More on that in a bit! IP: Logged |

Major hit. I have an insane amount of confidence for someone as nerdy and aspie as I am. I have "burning ambitions" where my whole soul feels like it's on fire if I don't create. I want, deeply. I pursue my goals assertively and even aggressively.
quote:
When paired with DEJANIRA, he goes pretty batty.
I read: "Dejanira was married to Heracles, who was a cheater btw. One day Nessus the centaur was supposed to escort Dejanira somewhere but he attempted to kidnap her. Heracles shot Nessus with a poisoned arrow. As Nessus was dying, he handed Dejanira a mixture of olive oil and his poisoned blood and his semen and told her that if she gives it to Heracles, he'll stop cheating. So she put it on a shirt that Heracles wore and he subsequently died. Dejanira killed herself." It's actually scary what a good metaphor that is for one of my relationships. My first love killed herself, I've been cheated on and gaslighted. quote: DESTINN conjunct CHIRON was the one that I most recently noted;
"Destinn was named after Emmy Destinn who was a renowned Czech operatic soprano with a strong and soaring lyric-dramatic voice." And then I read this: "Chiron is the 'wounded healer'. It represents our deepest wound, and our efforts to heal the wound. Chiron was named after the centaur in Greek mythology who was a healer and teacher who, ironically, could not heal himself." Indigo, for some reason I can't explain, I burst into tears reading that description of Chiron. First I realized Chiron reminds me so much of me. And then I realized it reminded me so much of us. Your podcast is free spiritual nurturing. You have a gift for therapy-- refusing to just do the easy phone work and instead 'baiting and switching' people into healing themselves and doing important work. I have nurtured so many people, been an informal healer to so many, but remain myself empty. "Fated healing" resonates so very very deeply. If we're friends ten years from now, I might well get that phrase tattooed or use its latin equivalent on my family crest or something. I feel like you and P and Kristin and Kuni and others are my reward for staying alive this long. IP: Logged |

CHIRON does resonate with you, Tyrian; absolutely. And I've never seen NESSUS in the light which you just described. Like THAT, I absolutely get it. That makes total sense. As you know, I'm quite passionate and driven when it comes to soul connexions I've made -- and I honestly don't make them that often. Luckily, I've got a LOT of amazing stuff going through my 11H right now -- which may be why it's happening more often. Suddenly. DESTINN is something we've all taken to be a fated point. I have it near KARMA, so the two naturally have a linkage to each other. DESTINN-CHIRON is really beautiful. It describes us. It really, truly does. What I meant to add earlier is that it's on J's TISIPHONE. I STILL can't get over his TISIPHONE being on my CHIRON. 'The wound that does not heal'. And his TISIPHONE. It ... paints an odd portrait. Your DESTINN there ... that's really interesting. If we take the story to be something of a personal monomyth shared by a group of individuals, your DESTINN there is a clear link to that very deep (and karmic) wound I have. Man. I gotta find where your LEWISCARROLL is. Did you know you have ALICE rising? True fact! IP: Logged |

We both have LEWISCARROLL conjunct EROS 1°.Anyone wanna take a stab at that one? But I was curious, so I found this, too: KARMA conjunct WHITERABBIT. Technically, too far to be an actual conjunction: 4° and 6°. But I chuckled we both have it! IP: Logged |
