Long overdue thread, Ceri. I've been thinking for a while that MC/IC are analagous to the nodes, and in synastry they're important. The MC in particular tends to get underestimated. It isn't just about your career, if you have one, it's also where you're headed.IP: Logged |

I have a moon opp. venus which corresponds to my boyfriend's IC/MC axis respectively. His moon conjuncts my MC as well. We do not have vertex aspects with nodes or angles but I do wonder about my vertex conjuncting his venus-pluto. IP: Logged |

DC-NN conj MC. Yea.EDIT: Now that I have the time for a more complete post. I've always considered the MC/IC an important axis, perhaps even more than the AC/DC, because the AC is inherently geared toward Self, instead of the more dynamic Place in the world. IC = internal and private, MC = external and worldly. But that could also just be my 10H SUN playing preferences. I've got NN smack on my DC, so any aspect to one hits the other. How MC plays in though is always a mystery I've been trying to unlock. I think my NN is being deliberately obtuse about it. My VX axis is also a hot spot, but that's another story. IP: Logged |

Brilliant thread! I immediately checked my parents' synastry. Despite many turbulent times when I almost begged them to separate they stayed together, and their relationship is getting more stable, better with time and in that sense I'm really proud of them What I discovered almost made me cry, sometimes astrology is just so accurate, unbelievable. They both have Libra MC, not conjunct though, but their Venuses conjunct each other's Saturns, they have Saturn conjunct Venus double whammy! How could I not have noticed it before? Besides, mum's bunch of planets (Jupiter, Mars, Uranus) conjunct dad's MC. That tells so much about them. It was serious right from the beginning, they talked about creating a family on the first date, mom saw the potential in him, he was hardworking, ambitious (Saturn all the way!) and she encouraged him to work his ass off, actually their whole marriage revolved around us saving money, building a huge house and a workshop for my dad. It's a neverending story, they always find things to improve. Although I think that this much of striving for material comfort and luxury is a bit unhealthy, I do appreciate them for their persistence and dilligence But yeah, for them the MC was the most important factor in their synastry. For my parents MC figured strongly with predictive charts at the time of their marriage as well. For example in the Age Harmonics of this year my Dad had Venus conjunct MC on 8 Pisces, falling onto my Mum`s natal North Node and MC; both on 8 Pisces as well. The accuracy is almost creepy. lol my Dad`s solar arc Venus was also on 8 Pisces.

Ahhh bummer, our MC's inconjunct, but at least they are both ruled by Venus, so there is somewhat a similarity. Other aspects are better: His MC sextile my Sun His MC conjunct my Saturn (my 5th H Ruler) His MC sextile my Neptune (my 7th/8th H Ruler) His MC conjunct my Pluto (my 4th H Ruler) His MC trine my NN Mine is not well aspected: My MC inconjunct his Sun (his 7th H Ruler) My MC inconjunct his Pluto My MC sextile his NN My MC trine his ASC So, we have these DWs: MC/7thRuler MC/Pluto MC/NN His MC falls into my 3rd, mine falls into his 4th. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on these aspects? A little back story, we both like 1 area and plan to create a small company.

Maybe because DC and NN would be at the midpoint between your MC and IC? IP: Logged |

There's a 15° orb of difference, so that can't be it. Realizing my NN is clearly in line with the MC "life path", but defining exactly what that is is the tough part. I feel I may have preconceptions, what with my DC being there, but how things are meant to manifest - that's anyone's guess. IP: Logged |
