His Venus is in Taurus opposite my Sun in Scorpio (1 degree applying)

My Venus trines in Scorpio trines his Sun in Cancer (11 seconds from EXACT separating).

We also have

ASC opposite ASC.
Venus conjunct ASC.

Pluto conjunct ASC.

From my OWN experience, Venus aims to please, but in their own way and the issue with that is, SUN has their own way too. Sun is adored by Venus, but pitches a fit here and there because Venus isn’t stroking their ego like Sun thinks they should. And Venus very much would like to please Sun.. they just have their OWN WAY of doing it.

This is how I view the Sun-Venus opposition in synastry.

I think that they fulfil each other, maybe after a while, but especially if they can make it work long therm.

The opposition is the most exciting aspect in my opinion, because the other one got what you don't even realise that you need. So lets say you are really chaotic, then you would probably enjoy getting more structure back in your life. To find someone with the opposite energy could be bringing you just what you didn't even think you needed...

Of course both people would need to be kind of open-minded, be very emotionally mature, and aware of themselves. But who doesn't want to work with their inner desires or issues? To find someone who is the opposite of you, provokes an energy that push you closer to that.

But I get your point, the opposition is somewhat alluring and enticing.. It's sort of holding carrots up from a distance. And too, as you mention, because it's what you need but don't even know you need it, there must be some primal force that gets activated. Some people are repelled though, some are intrigued.

Thank you for reviving this thread from the olden days where great sharing and intelligent musings took place. From wonderful people unfortunately now gone.

Then again we also have Venus quincunx Venus so that could have been the cause or must have contributed to our incompatibility.

With my current guy my Venus square his Sun. His Venus also squares my Sun by sign but not aspected. The square is supposed to be worse than 'opposition' but strangely we get along much better although at times I wonder if he loves me...it's like I can't tell. Still, we don't clash like with my ex and this may be becos we have Venus sextile Venus that helps.
