I just realized that I have never seen other people's synastry chart with Mars conjunct Mars in the same sign. Or at least Mars close to Mars in the same sign. And the theory offers different intepretations from "sweet and perfectly compatible in every way" to "potential rivals, too overwhelming, trying to outdo each other, can be exhausting."So... any personal experiences or observations? Yes, it's very energetic and nice, but unfortunately if the progressions speak against a closer involvement, the taste of it is too little (talking about the love department)He made it clear; he thinks about me every day, even though he's in a relationship now, in which he's not very happy. Well, that's IT. What do I buy for thoughts only? Nothing. But I really rrrreally liked this guy. Mars/Mars conj. exact. EDIT; we first met when Transit Venus was exactly conjunct our natal Mars (late 2008)
About our outstanding progressions; His progressed Venus in an applying 1,5 square to my natal Sun (in 2008) and right-now (2014) it's only separating by 0,5. But on its way by 4 to make a square to my progressed Mars. His progressed Venus is a verrrry slow mover since its retro-motion by birth. So, one whole life (or a bit less) that progressed Venus/Mars square for us. And after that it will approach my natal Mars in a Square (+ his own ofcourse). Nothing to rely on. IP: Logged |

You are right, I have never seen this in synastry either. I don't think it is "too much" that fits more the description of the square, but even the square seems to happen more frequently than the conjunction between mars. I think maybe its just boring, like some people think that mars conj venus is boring after a while. Maybe the people involved feels that something is missing, and automatically removes them from their "people to date"-list. IP: Logged |

i've had this in synastry a few times, and with same-sex friends often. with male/female i found it challenging in the sense that we were always in competition with one another. that could be the sign itself though, which is a more aggressive mars. with female friends we get along very easily and don't have the same level of competition as with the opposite partner. i liked it though, the conjunction from mars-mars because we were able to debate/fight in very similar ways. i went from a mars-mars conjunct to a mars-mars opposite relationship and the conjunct one was far better. I had it twice, not the exact conjunction but a symbolical one in the same sign, them being like 15 degrees apart. But the way my chart is, it means their Mars will square my Venus unless it sits exactly on mine. I mean, if Mars conj Mars then no Mars square Venus (because mine doesn't in my natal chart, they are at 80 degrees), yet if their Mars moves around a bit, it will inevitably enter a square-ish contact with my Venus. My point is, that square tangles up the interpretation because I can't be sure what stems from which contact. Also both times there were other Mars aspects from both sides, which muddles things up even more. In short, I have never experienced a "pure" Mars-Mars conjunction without tons of other Mars related factors. IP: Logged | |
