I love it. And unlike most people a part of me (probably the Aqua-Moon or Sag-MErcury) would LOVE to see the faces of visitors reading the title. That would be so fantastic. The non-understanding, the moment the awareness of WHAT they just read hitting them, the total shock plastered on their faces, the desperate attempts to pretend to not have read or not have understood. Ah HILARIOUS. One could do a social study with that. BTW does the first time having astral sex count as love chart, too?

And just to be clear, sex and genuine lust does not imply that all by itself. I've heard of sexual compatibility charts in which case it seems obvious to me that oral sex counts. This would apply to Bill & Monica.
I was with you on this Pixie... Now I'm confused...... IP: Logged |

Okay, I think it`s time to tone it down a notch again. I thought it was fun, but apparently it hurts some people`s feelings, so we maybe should not let it get too far. Anyway, my remark about the astral sex was ALSO intended to be a bit sarcastic, which did not translate apparently. Cause honestly how many event charts should we be really looking at to evaluate the outcome of a relationship? Seriously from a certain point on it all gets arbitrary. At least that is my opinion. Well, I'm not offended in the least.... I just though a Love Chart was a compatibility chart. Not a chart of the first time you have sex. Why would I want that? Do I need to know the exact time?! LOL. I was too busy to look at the clock. I don't know what he will think if I ask him if he remembers what time that happened.... LOL I do have the exact time and date we met. I remember because he was 45 mins late! And... now I know he's always late for everything. IP: Logged |

I actually posted that without thinking about it first because I figured I didn't have time to think about it before it was locked. It was intended more for ISC and those enjoying this thread. Being that it's YT and it's just talk it seemed safe enough (I've certainly seen much more questionable put up that was never commented on), especially as the rules are fairly whimsical so what's okay and even lauded one day are put down the next and vice versa (therefore I've chosen not to worry about it, at least until someone makes some brilliant astrological observations that can help determine what the ever shifting standards happen to be today). Nevertheless, I have to wonder why you're on this thread. I can see being fooled by the title which doesn't give a warning to its nature but the very simple original post would've let you know what you were getting into (and why I was sure this thread was destined to be locked). Furthermore, I said what the vid was about before you clicked on it...yet you clicked on it anyway (either that or you assumed it was worse than it was). Which begs the question of why you didn't step out the moment you saw what was going on. IP: Logged |

-while I can see all your points, I was just thinking that we might have minors reading here, and well, I never know when lines are crossed, that should not get crossed. *shrugs* But if you are okay with the thread, and Randall is as well, then okay. And yes, I found it funny, too, and I have no idea what that video is about, cause I did not click on it, and now I do not dare to anymore. IP: Logged |

I have no idea what Randall thinks of this thread. And what he thinks of it today would probably be different a month from now. Some days he locks threads that get the least bit questionable and other days he gives it a thumbs up. I thought I knew once and pointed out where I thought a thread was crossing the line (in SPITR no less), not because I was offended but because I thought the rules were against it (based on an objective standard rather than subjective one) and that people should know. Yet more than one (plenty of them mods) said it was fine (at least one insinuating I was being a prude) and so did Randall. And ever since then I've accepted it's pretty whimsical and don't worry about it anymore. And for what it's worth, I doubt minors could be more confused by this thread than I am. In any case, most minors will be in the habit of talking a lot more deeply about sex than this. Would you like me to share some of the songs we kids sang and jokes we told before we were even teens? Some get really explicit and one joke I was told when I was 9-10 (from a boy the same age) about a man having sex with a pregnant woman still makes me cringe to this day. IP: Logged |

OK Ceri I love you and appreciate a 100% you are trying to be cautious and you are coming from a good place 100%.BUT Sex is something very natural and beautiful and I think we are having fun including you with your great jokes in a light hearted way talking about this. We are sexual beings and the way we are laughing and discussing this is light and appropriate. Sex is part of life and this is a astrology forum, I dont think that it should be censored. If it offends a very few people that says something about them and should not inhibit the rest of us from enjoying a fun discussion about it. He tends to close threads when people start to fight and it just escalates and escalates and won't die down or de-escalate I have noticed, like if something truly gets out of control; I have not witnessed all the threads he has closed but that is the impression I have gotten So far. OK I dont think this video was inappropriate. Its actually very PG and she makes good points. Teenagers talk about this stuff. Have you watched Awkward or Faking it (both MTV shows)?? IP: Logged |

Well Love Charts can mean different things for different people...see it more multi dimensionally. For some people their first time happens to be actually special so they might want to do a love chart for that. For others the first kiss is very special or their first date or something else..or the exact date you realized you are in looove which may coincide with a day the two were intimate in some way, whether kissing or some other way. I've been watching this one closely, and have honestly been very torn. As a 'sexpert' myself, I'm all for the free and flowing conversation of our more intimate activities. I used to be concerned about whether or not minors might stumble upon sexual information -- and then I realised that hasn't been a viable concern since the Internet age. Here in the US, it's becoming standard practise that our fourth graders are at least educated in the basics. And there's nothing I've seen here that can be considered pornographic. (The CollegeHumour video was hilarious. What we have here, I believe, is a generation gap. My mother has gratefully had a sex-positive approach, and so I was raised in an environment in which some questions got the ' ... I'll tell you that when you're older,' (which, I realised later, was about 17), but a vast majority received real answers. Had this not been my background, I can't imagine how I would EVER have cleared my own personal hurdles regarding sex. She's not in the majority, though. Many of her friends in the 55+ crowd are not nearly as forthcoming about 'what should remain private behind closed doors'. Frankly, my attitude is -- f*ck that. That's precisely why nobody was even willing to know what happens to the body during sex until the 1950s. 1950s! This is a crime! (Okay, to my 3H MOON conjunct URANU and LILITH=MOON/EROS it certainly is.) I fully respect the guidelines and willingness to allow the youngsters in, but, honestly? If the only place we can freely discuss sexuality is the Sweet Peas forum, should we be making threads there -- and mentioning them here? Now, I have no desire to alienate any members of this site, whatsoever. I will be honest in my opinions, however; I think that some things are merely a result of certain societal constructs -- 'the old guard' -- and the sort of outmoded political paradigms which kept women in the kitchen, children quiet, and sex unmentionable. Okay! I've said my piece. Besides, I'm thrilled we're discussing Love Charts! Specifically, to have the means to look at them more closely, and ask 'is THIS the real Love Chart'?' given the ways in which we all have a subjective view of intimacy to some degree. IP: Logged |

I already knew you're the bees knees, H, but this is just one more reason why. Sex has seen a long, arduous struggle to be included in 'that which can be mentioned', and in which we can be educated. I definitely count myself as one who actively opposes its censorship. IP: Logged |
