I keep reading that Pallas plays a huge part in synastry and that a guys Pallas conjunct a girls Sun is commonly found in marriages. Why?

Could someone be so kind as to explain. I'm an idiot. Lol

Thanks!

I'm not sure yet why Pallas figures strongly in marriages, but it does. Perhaps because Pallas is a regulator, a potential symbol for "official" relationships.
Sun/Pallas is not necessarily the only marker for Pallas in marriages, there's also Pallas on angles, Pallas DWs, and Pallas somehow angular (focal) in synastry or composites.

Yes, it's often prominent, quite a mystery lol my parents, for example, have an interesting "magical" triangle: Sun trine Moon Sun square Pallas Moon quincux Pallas in their composite.
In synastry Venus/Pallas DW (0) - BQ and trine - and Venus/Pallas seems to be one of those repeating aspects with Pallas in marriages.

my parents

Pallas/Moon DW (square and semsiquare)

pallas conjunct Mercury exact

composite

Pallas conjunct Chiron (2.43)
Pallas conjunct Sun (1.33)
Pallas trine Pluto (1.40)

my friends

Pallas trine Pallas
Pallas quindecile Mercury, Pluto and Juno (only the one to Juno is under 1 degree)

Pallas - Juno as DW (quindecile and sextile)

composite

Pallas conj. Vesta
Pallas quindeceile Venus exact

Well to be honest I am not too flashed by that.

It's not gonna be as prominent as Juno or Ceres, but it's not a minor asteroid in marriage either. I wouldn't look at a synastry and see Pallas/Sun DW and think: "they're gonna get married" not at all, it could mean many other things. Still, Pallas/Sun (for your parents) and Juno/Pallas DW for your friends is not bad.

Well I am the last one bashing Pallas. She makes a minor triangle with my Pluto and my Neptune-NN-ASC

Pluto-Pallas-Neptune all in exact orb. So she certainly is important in MY chart (though not angular).

But so is Ceres, and Juno, and Vesta. lol

In fact Ceres is exactly semisextile Pallas, quinkunx Pluto, square Neptune-NN. lol

Maybe if it's like in strong conjunction to a luminary, or a stellium. Perhaps it's figuring where there's that natural psychic bond between the partners. That can be quite potent.

PALLAS opposite PALLAS (3º) with my husband.
PALLAS conjunct EROS (0º30) with my partner.

We've both got some crazy KLIO action, though.

My PALLAS is 0º conjunct his KLIO, too. AND my husband's PALLAS is conjunct my KLIO, 1º. HUH! Now THAT's interesting. Especially since this means our KLIO are opposite each other. (My partner, that is.)

I'm also mildly intrigued by the JUNO trine PALLAS, 0º30 as well.

Now, my Twin's PALLAS is 'dead solid perfect' as my father likes to say, on my DSC. 0º15.

And ... my mother's PALLAS is on my father's OSIRIS, 0º.

... Yay?

I did not know this either... My composite with my husband has Pallas in the first conjunct by 2 orbs the AC.

Synastry:
His pallas conjuncts my juno and opposes my saturn.
My pallas squares his sun and opposes his moon.

We have comp juno conjunct northnode by less than 2 orbs.

ADD:
My ex pallas conjuncts exact my pholus.
My pallas trines exact his isis.

Interesting. I have a Pallas (22 degrees) conjunct my Venus & Mars (22/23degree) in pisces and it's conjunct my honey's MC/Ceres (1 degree conjunction) (which is conjunct his moon and north node also in pisces but wider orb.) his POF is also exactly conjunct my venus/mars. And his aries mars (2degree) in conjunct my pisces moon (28degree).

It's just one big mush of planets/astroids in pisces!

And his pallas is conjunct my sun(>1degree) in aquarius, but no Juno aspects on either side. We do have saturn aspects that are really significant. Marriage material? Or is Juno necessary?

I still don't know what Pallas does... Lol

Pallas Athene is really both male and female, finely integrated. We can see combined feminine/masculine energy in the symbols, behaviour and actions associated with her myth. This is interesting from a synastry pov, because (to me) it seems to indicate that she epitomizes the "yin/yang" symbol.

Pallas symbolizes the the point of integration of your "whole self" - both your masculine and feminine qualities. For example, a person may be female and express strongly feminine qualities, but where her Pallas is situated, you will also find her "inner man".Similarly, in a male chart you will find his "inner woman" where Pallas lies.

As such, I think that Pallas acts as a magnet for the opposite sex because its "yin/yang" quality acts as a point of integration through which an opposite gender /orientation can find common ground .... a resonant "fit" with the vibration of the latent polarity in a person of opposite gender/orientation.

This may be why Sun conjunct Pallas in synastry can be so powerful. If the sun person is male, he will magnetized to the
inner masculine vibrations of the (female) Pallas person, even if these are not overtly expressed in her. The Pallas female will find herself able to relate to the (male) Sun person, because her own "inner male" resonates with his sense of personal identity.

Same thing would happen the other way round - if the sun person was female and the Pallas person was male.

My theory is therefore that Pallas in synastry creates an underlying sexual resonance between the aspected planets, through identification with the vibration of the opposite gender polarity in the partner. It is chemistry thing, rather than a physical thing and can explain why you can form a connection that goes beyond the physical with some people, but not with others who you are initially equally physically attractive to you.

In a nutshell it is like the planet person saying "Hey I resonate with the inner male (or female) in the Pallas person!"

Just a thought!

This explanation really resonates with me, and is the first I've seen that seems to fit the power that she obviously has, especially in synastry. Thank you!

Pallas-transits have proved to be very reliable to me when it comes to "spiritual experiences", whcih involve a shift in consciousness (do not know how to tell it differently).

Mr Sag, if in proximity, seems to be an ongoing Pallas-transit for me. lol

Well, he has Pallas conjunct Psyche within one degree in his own chat, squaring his Uranus.
My Psyche and mean Lilith are exact conjunct his Pallas-Psyche and squared by his Uranus.

His Pallas-Psyche also sextiles my Mercury exact, while my Pallas sextiles his Mercury exact (and making some other aspects).
This results in an intriguing composite PIcture.

PALLAS on 16 Aqua conj. NYMPHE on 15 Aqua
trine
Pluto on 15 Libra
trine
DEJANIRA on 17 Gemini

Pallas also sextiles
Mercury and SAPPHO on 17 Sag
Neptune on 15 Sag

and squraes
EROS on 14 Taurus
PRIAUPS on 15 Taurus
IC on 16 Taurus

In DAVISON
PALLAS on 3 Virgo

trine

EROS on 3 Cap
DEJANIRA on 2 Cap

trine

Chiron on 4 Taurus
CUPIDO on 1 Taurs

RIGHT now it feels fitting talking about Pallas, considering

TR Pallas 20 Libra
Tr True Node 19 Libra (mean Node on 20 Libra)

And that is incidentally the NN of our composite. lol 20 Libra

For me personally that means

Tr Pallas on my Sappho, opposing my Chiron exact, squaring Sun/Moon-mp, Eros and Vertex.

Tr Psyche conjunct my natal Pallas, activating the minor triangle with Neptune-ASC-NN and Pluto.

Pallas-transits - you can really rely on them to bring shifts of awareness and strange occurrences (which are not really all that strange though). lol

Or is it just me?

I agree with this, great post! Pallas being an androgyne symbol is another possible reason for her featuring strongly in marriages.

Hi, I don't know where you read this, but Pallas does not play a huge part in synastry, unless there is some unresolved daughter-father issues in the way of a good relationship with a potential partner. In your case, it might be about being in control with one's own emotions. The conjunction would harmonize the relationship.

THANKS for bumping this thread ^.

Just notice we have a DW Pallas/Venus in the declinations.

His Pallas parallel my Venus by 0'35 (N)
My Pallas parallel his Venus by 0'27 (S)

In the longitudes ^ it's a P/V trine by 2 deg + P/V septile exact.

---

The most striking aspect is this;
My Jupiter (26'39 scorp) conj his Pallas (27'49 scorp).

[My.. ^^ looking at this discovery: transit Moon at the moment 27'18 taurus / transit retro Mars 27'31 Scorp]

Now I'm reading some very interesting things about Jupiter&Pallas in connection.

Creative intelligence are the keywords we associate with Pallas.

The Pallas-Jupiter combination is uncommonly visionary. For truth seekers, for those who want to discover the mysterious patterns of our universe, and for those interested in seeing into the future, you couldn't ask for a better combination than a Pallas-Jupiter conjunction.

You can extend the value of the Pallas-Jupiter combination to reading charts for yourself or clients. When these two come together by transit or progression, spontaneous, wonderful insights happen. Vision quests are best undertaken when transiting Jupiter is aspecting natal Pallas, for example. Some of life's thorniest problems can be resolved when progressed Pallas aspects natal Jupiter. If one is lucky enough to have a natal Pallas-Jupiter aspect, then any outer planet transit or secondary progression aligned with the natal Pallas-Jupiter can bring resolution to longstanding problems. If you have an issue, then meditate on it as Pallas and Jupiter form connections. Expect synchronicity to strike, and be open to unusual or unconventional solutions. When these two align, we can become aware of a Universal Intelligence that guides and teaches. They renew our faith in cosmic justice and wisdom.

I will be short about the real life association I get now;

We annoyed the hell out a each other lately.
I thought: okay, this is rrreally going to end.
But then he took a/one kitten from a nest of 4 from a friend.
I thought: ow that's sweet (kitten was already with him for a day)
So I said: shall I take one too?
If you want, I can call my friend so we can take a look at the other 3 so you can decide then (he replied)
Well, so within half an hour we were at his friend's place.
There was one kitten coming to me.. just one and I was able to touch her (right before mommy cat got really angry and made me afraid)

Long story short; we now have a kitten from the same nest! Ow.. some days later he took his sister also, so HE has 2 now!
Well, it means we have a LOT to talk about now haha .. we got them at 7 weeks and they're now almost 8 weeks old.

NICE! I mean... well, mine is probably deaf as he doesn't seem to react on any sound.. but I will ask the vet next week.

Ofcourse, astrologically it's verry interesting... my kitten's (or do I have to say: those kittens') Venus EXACTLY trine my Sun (never met that u know).

Love this thread.

Whenever I see Pallas in a midpoint picture I think "pattern recognition; seeing the whole picture, both for its intricacies and it's wholeness." She rules weaving, and that sticks with me. She's pure intelligence, which discriminates without leaving anything out. Pure psychic intelligence, awareness of the fabric of things. Of course that awareness helps in relationships; being able to see the big picture and relate to one another's conception of the same.

I have Pallas conjunct Amor at 7 Aquarius.

Our composite Sun is at 6 Aqua and Venus is 8 Leo. Composite Mercury is at 8 Aqua (I think?!).. I really, really love this guy/this relationship... even with the low lows... and they are low... I'm able to see the pattern and fabric of it and maintain detached yet loving perspective...

I think that's another thing Athene is really good at. At least mine in Aqua.. detached yet full awareness. Paradoxical, cause she is about integration yet is able to be a bit aloof.

My Pallas is square his Mercury/Mars. There's other stuff I don't remember... oh it's square his Vertex too.

His Pallas is conjunct his True Black Moon and name asteroid and is binovile my Ascendant 0'14, quintile my Mercury 0'42, sextile my Sun 0'55 and trine my Mean Dark Moon 1'... so I think that's a Mercury-Pallas double whammy which I always tend to look for in synastry... Mercury-Pallas connections.

We have composite Pallas novile Uranus, conjunct Vesta, sextile Saturn-True Dark Moon, and conjunct Sun by 6 degrees. Those are some of the more notable aspects anyway.
