What does this mean?I've read somewhere that the couple will fall in love but circumstances will not let them be together when they do. Does this mean there's no chance for the couple to ever be together? IP: Logged |

NN/Venus aspects were discussed a few threads below: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/001511.html IP: Logged |

This is exactly the sort of nonsensical "rule" that is sometimes espoused that makes people roll their eyes about astrology. Nothing is ever absolute. Having a Pluto-sun conjunction does not mean that you are automatically a controlling, obsessive freak any more than Venus/NN would mean you can't be together. First of all, that sounds more like a Saturn/Uranus/Venus issue, and second of all, stop reading whoever wrote that because they just don't know what they are talking about. Venus/NN would likely bring a compulsive attraction on both sides, but the NN person (as I understand it) is likely to feel it more, since the NN is not a planet but a point and therefore has no draw of its own, except for the owner of said NN. The Venus person most likely has a "lesson" to teach the NN person, and this lesson would have something to do with love, romance, values, money or self-esteem. The NN connection can be irresistible, but it can be uncomfortable for the NN person.

I try to find the best answers that I could and this is exactly why I'm asking this question--because I want the insights of other people.
Your answer does make sense. I've already seen it play out. Thanks.

By "feeling it more" I think you mean they'll feel the venus person will change them in some way. From the other thread it seems to have been gathered that generally speaking the venus person is more attracted to the NN in the sense that they want to move toward NN. They don't fear NN person... while the NN person is likely to feel a little uncomfortable by venus because on some subconscious level NN feels Venus can change their life. Most humans fear having their life changed, even if it means for the better. They tend to lean towards the familiar (South Node).IP: Logged |

Sorry -- I don't mean to sound harsh. I don't always notice when it can come off that way -- I've got Aries in the 3rd! Thanks for not taking offense. IP: Logged |

Hiya Astro keen. No, not exactly an astrologer, just a person who's been reading up on it on and off for 15 years! Not an expert by any means. I do have opinions though! I'm a Leo! IP: Logged |

That's a pretty damn good conclusion based on the old and lengthy Venus-NN thread.
The NN do feel uncomfortable because they sense the planet person can change their life, AND sway them off the path they are onto. IP: Logged |

Not always, or entirely. Depends completely upon how comfortable one is with their NNODE to start.

one is never too comfortable with their North Node. It's an uncharted territory. IP: Logged |

I actually feel very comfortable with my NN, though there is still room to grow. But it is so much "me", I feel a little uncomfortable with my South Node though.I think the reason for it might be that my NN is conjunct my ASC, and in the same sign as my Sun, Mercury, Mars and ASC. How could I not identify with it? But as I said, of course there is still room to grow, but usually if someone else`s planet conjuncts it, I am all fiery enthusiasm, sure with a twinge of: What do I expect? Can I really go there, do that? But there is nothing like that fresh breeze to make me extend my boundaries; sure sometimes it means I am right out of my comfortzone (despite me identifying with the qualities of my Nn at the same time). But there is nothing that feels more fulfilling to me, more necessary, and more fun, and I just feel so much more myself when I get the opportunity, that feeling of: Ah, that is how I am, too! (another layer of myself). And other people`s planets on my Nn seem to provide the reflection of that "me-layer", and maybe because of that I feel very positive towards them. IP: Logged |

Again, it's about evolution and maturity. For example, my NESSUS isn't abusive, but it is transcendental. IP: Logged |
