The only requirement seems to be that there is some conjunction made between at least one of the 5H or 8H points.

It's further strengthened when the 8C and 5C are in the same sign.

I have Saturn on 16 Cancer conjunct his NESSUS on 18 Cancer

my EROS-Vertex-Sun/Moon-mp (far)are all on 21 Cancer; in fact Vertex and Sun/Moon-mp are both on 21°31 Cancer.
For me PAN is on 21°02 Cancer and DESTINN on 23°18 Cancer (conj. my current pr EROS on 23°31 Cancer)

Well he does not have anything on 21-23 Cancer, though his Pluto squares it from 21°23 Libra

our composite Moon is opposing from 22°52 Capricorn though, and Davison Moon conjunct on 20°48 Cancer

We do have a link from my 5th house ruler trine his 8th house ruler (Uranus trine Mercury made sexual!), and while I put 4 things in his 8th house, his Sun conjuncts the ruler of my own 8th.

my Mum`s 8th house falling into my Dad`s 5th house, though different rulership (for her Saturn, for him Uranus).
his Sun conjuncts her DESTINN in Aquarius

Robert Browning`s 5th house cusp fell into his wife Elizabeth`s 8th house (funny how often it is the mans 5th house in the examples I saw so far)

he had Sun-Valentine and Mercury in there and his Mercury conjunct her Amor

for my best friend and her husband a minor part of his 8th house overlays her 5th house (just from 10 -16 Libra). But it is enough to put his Pluto on 11 Libra and hence conjunct her Venus-Mars-Pluto on 10 LIbra nd Juno on 9 LIbra.

my brother and his gf do not have the overaly.

We also have a tight Moon/ Pluto conj, which is his 1st house ruler to my 7th house ruler, so the hightened eroticism could be traced to that aspect as well.

I was wondering about that. If while I do feel the deep transformational vibration I have been blocking something erotically (with Eros in 8th house on Vertex a tough act of suppression and denial I guess, But Saturn helps with the suppressing), and if he might feel it more in a 5th house sense, probably feeling like I have been constantly rejecting him or at least being blocking *something*

our 8th house rulers are widely trine each other (4 degrees).
And his 8th house Uranus trines my EROS-Vertex-conjunction in my 8th house.
Of course the fact alone that he has URanus in 8th house (in Scorpio) and I have Saturn in 8th house (in Cancer), is probably a tough nut. At least they are both in water, and their dispositors are trine each other, though not very tight.

Maybe my Saturnianness puzzles him. After all his Uranus is ruler of his 12th house, but apart from that no nasty aspects in his chart, but is trine his ASC, sextile his Venus and sextile his Saturn on the DESC.

And there I am with my Saturn sort of putting a damper right there, probably does not help that my Saturn is contraparallel his Venus as well. (though his Venus / DESC-pattern is extremely Saturnian).

And Venus rules his 8th house? While your Saturn contra parallels it?
Yeah, Saturn can be so constraining in the houses of love and intimacy. It can ruin the whole thing and compensating with other aspects in the synastry doesnt seem to work.
Saturn must be dealt with in theses houses or the relationship will suffer.

No, Venus rules his 2nd house and intercepted 7th house.
Saturn rules his 11th house and is exactly conjunct his DESC (and Vertex). From there it trines his Venus, sextiles his Uranus, but ALSO squares his Sun, Moon (ruler of his 5th) and MC.
So he has his own Saturn issues to deal with I think.

Pluto in his 7th house, as ruler of the 8th house, squaring his Venus, probably doesn`t make things any easier. Funny enough I think it might represent some kind of draw as it mirrors my own so much. Just that Saturn is more related to his 7th house, and for me it is more related to 8th house (though my 5th house ruler is in Capricorn).

We have quite a few ego-issues based on that both are purely Cardinal "leaders" but the sex is through the roof! What is good though is that we are best friends and somehow manage to get through everything and make bond stronger.

I do so, too. It might be that if there is an overlay of these two most passionate houses AND an accompanying strong aspect to either the rulers or planets in these houses, the intensity gets even magnified and sort of focused.

So in our case that common ground would be Cancer (his 5th, my 8th).
His Moon is in Sagittarius (conjunct Sun and MC) - so yes, there would be a lot of public display, but we kind of knew that before.

my Moon is in Aquarius in 2nd house, of course this is in a natural tension with the 8th house symbolism anyway, but all in all Sagittarius and Aquarius seem to be getting along just fine, at least on a friendly level.

With my Moon in Aquarius, astrology does not seem like the worst option here.

Of course I don´t know that for sure, but I could imagine that. I guess there must be some intrigue for him as well, otherwise he wouldn`t have been paying me this public attention; every single occasion is maybe just superficial and showy and not that significant, but why do it over and over again with the same person, me? DESPITE it clearly bringing some unrest into his personal relationships?
It would be easier - and more reasonable- to completely ignore me I suppose.

Well, feels like that sometimes, at least a little bit. Not wanting to dramatize it or make it bigger than it is, but it seems some kind of intrigue is there, and well maybe it is just a Sagittarius-thing, but we can´t simply NOT push that red button and see what happens, right? Something might explode and there will be lights and fire and loud noises, and something will just be HAPPENING. (never mind the whole world could be in flames and ruins after the firework faded away. )
But at least we had a not-so-boring time.

Yes, definitely. On both accounts.
He pushed me so far out of my comfort zone repeatedly, but eventually that make me just extend those confinements that my comfort zone had become.
And yes, of course I am fascinated, still. Never knew a guy who kept my mind busy and interested for that long. I usually lose interest, focus and attention (or start dividing those on several areas and people) pretty quickly.
Him? Still keeping my mind buzzing. lol
and making me question myself, my concepts (especially about myself or the impression I leave) again and again.
Everytime I think I have got this figured out and can settle back and just leave it as it is, something happens and I have to get to the figuring-out-board once again.

But that sort of fascinates me at the same time as it is a tiny little bit frustrating. lol
