DESC is not about sex though. Sun in 1st here, too. Actually my dESC-ruler Mercury is in Sag conjunct my Sun (on the Galactic centre) in 1st house, too. Yes I want a king, nothing less. I mean I am a queen after all, right? Just read that my progressed fullmoon is called the "Queen`s moon" lol

Of course whoever manages to captivate my attention for so long and so intense, must be a king by default. and very very brave. I can be the princess in the ivory tower AND the dragon combined in one person. lol

I'm still wondering what's up in the synastry with my twin that led to our developing -- rather compulsively, actually -- a sexual relationship. It could be: NYMPHE conjunct 8H VERTEX (2º) NYMPHE square sNODES (0º) NYMPHE square NYMPHE (2º) EROS quindecile EROS (1º) 5H MOON-EROS-BML-NYMPHE overlaying 8H PRIAPUS BML conjunct PRIAPUS (0º) Off of the top of my head. But I've often wondered what creates the compulsion. I think we're both pretty terrible (excellent technically-speaking, but lacking passion and proper emotionality) at it -- but we keep trying. I'm not the kind of princess in a tower.... I'm almost like Mulan, who goes to the war!!! lolIn Tarot I'm the Queen of Wands... My 8th house ruler is Mercury,... and it is TOO in the 12th house.... OK, I see... no sex for me, not here in Earth at least!!! "Forever Alone"

Don't sweat it too much, Dani.I've been asexual all of my life. What's becoming of most interest to me is what causes the 'sexual' periods to flare up, and why. On the whole, I'm extremely inconsistent to the point of mostly celibate. IP: Logged |

I was. intellectual tower mostly. With hiiiiiiigh defenses and really thick walls around me. Everyone, I mean really EVERYONE got the message (closed for business so to speak), and who didn`t get it the first time round, usually one of my icy "are you talking to ME?" stares sufficed and everyone got it. Well everyone except one. There is always one who doesn`t get it, right? But that doesn`t have anything to do with sex. I don´t want to derail this thread.... too much. BTW I once read something about Sappho transits to Venus, Mars, Pluto mostly, or those to Sappho.

Delicious. my Eros is on 21 Cancer, though it will still take some time until tr Pluto opposes this. and who knows what havoc an opposition might create! IP: Logged |

Some of those periods have definitely coincided with, say, tPLUTO trine my nVENUS, or an EROS Return. Still inconsistent, though. I wouldn't call them 'walls' per se, as lack of general interest. I just find no purpose in it most of the time. It's like, fleeting physical pleasure? Okay. What's the point? What's lasting about it? Does it teach me something? Am I able to break new ground? Heal some form of damage or offer healing to someone else? Attain a spiritual or metaphysical goal? If none of the above, I'm simply not interested. Or not interested enough to act, rather. I was actualyl thinking she was talking about my walls. I´ve had walls, high walls, possibly BECAUSE I have never been quite asexual, not truely. Just being insecure and fearful I think. But definitely would not admit it but rather escape into my mind. I think that is called avoidance, isn´t it? But a conjunction of Eros-Priapus on the IC in Taurus, trine Venus, and possibly also because of the quinkunx to Pluto in 8th house in a composite does really weird things to that avoidance-mode. Not so much from a tower (that would be more Uranus near the MC), but from some sort of cave (on the IC) I suppose. Pholus-Eros-DW in synastry also not the best one to have for keeping one`s head in the sand and ignore. lol

Ceri,Oh, I'm sure she was. I thought to offer a different perspective, as, yes -- avoidance versus indifference are very different approaches. Funny you mention cEROS-cPRIAPUS on the cIC, Ceri. Ohhhh, does it indeed have an effect. Add in cMOON for extra complexity. Not to mention cALMA-cSATURN with cMOON-cEROS at the apex of a Yod. If only it weren't all in AQU. IP: Logged |

Really? I wondered that, but Ceri did specifically use the word 'walls'. How interesting! Quoting is good, folks. IP: Logged |

I don't know how to properly put it into words… what I mean is, there is this whole layer of existence hidden in the physical dimension of our human experience that one can approach during sex…it's what one calls "physical intimacy," but that sounds so technical - whereas to me, this is a way of connecting very deeply with someone, getting to know them inside out (quite literally, ha!), and of opening up, trusting another person with total innocence, handing oneself over ... ... Anyway, I really do wonder whether seeing/experiencing it that way is an 8th house thing.
I don't know about Lee, Vajra, but that nails it. What drew me to my boyfriend on this level was THAT understanding of sex which he shares. And, sure enough, 8H SUN (with MERC-VERTEX) in Cancer. For us, it's a form of communication. It's psychological intensity and depth. We enjoy it, not for physical pleasure, but the dimension upon which we come to know one another so powerfully. It's like a profound, shared secret. The fact that we both know each other on this level is ... it's heady. It's special, too. The fact that we're asexual, we'd have to be deeply motivated to engage in sex. And we are. But it's SO difficult to articulate why, and you did so beautifully. Bravo! IP: Logged |

He was my ex husband. In general, he was cruel. He had OCD and anger issues. Sexually he couldn't perform unless he was engaged in his fetishes while I was just there, pretty much feeling like I didn't exist. Like he was just using my body. If he engaged in me emotionally it was such a turn off to him that he would lose interest. Of course at first I didn't realize he had all these emotional issues that made him not able to perform unless his OCD obsessions were involved. I stupidly believed him when he said it was me, I was to ugly and he wasn't attracted to me and that's why he couldn't get hard. I had Pluto square Mars with someone else in synastry but not in the composite also and the connection was awesome with that other person...I don't think it's the Pluto/Mars square. Me and the other guy didn't have Venus square Venus or Sun square Moon in synastry like my ex-husband and I ...and our comp was beautiful not stressed like my ex husband and I's was. We had sun conjunct Moon and his Venus on my SN and trine my Moon.

I'm so sorry, Gabby. I had a lot of these issues with my husband, actually. It took us years to work through them. He's only very rarely emotionally and verbally abusive these days, and hasn't been physically so since before we married. I'm proud of how far we've come. It took work on both of our behalf, too, as it's very difficult to help a sex addict heal. He's not there yet, but I haven't felt like a repository for his fetishistic needs for a few years now. I certainly don't miss it, either. We're going to approach having sex again soon. It's been five years, and has taken quite a lot to get here. I can only hope it goes well and he isn't disappointed.
