Hi Everyone,

Do you know someone in a long term relationship with this aspect?

Thanks...!

I don't think so.
It's a horrible aspect to have in synastry!

Yes, me. At 1 degree orb (his Sun, my Pluto). Although I suppose it depends upon what you mean by "long-term." Is coming back together after 20+ years and still together almost 2 years later long enough?

What's so horrible about it?

We have so many Pluto aspects I find them hard to sort out, but in general I don't see much wrong with it. It just seems deep to me. Although perhaps my 8th house Pluto makes a difference.

My boyfriend and I have this at 1º and while we just started dating in February, there is profound intimacy and it's very hard not to rush into things! The only other pluto in our synastry is his squaring my Mercury, but I see this more as an extension of my Sun because they are in an exact conjunction. Plus, he has the same Mercury as I do, but not the same Sun, so Pluto/Sun is new to both of us.

I think this aspect is a secret gem of sorts, and different from how a square usually is, for whatever reason. There's a whole other thread on this aspect that describes it as being very different from online interpretations. I never thought the feelings described could be associated with Pluto square Sun, but some of the responses were on point with my experience.

Yes. I had this with my husband, we were together 20 plus years, and also my ex, together 7 years. But as said above, I have it in my natal as well.

It seems like it never last =(

It's like holding on to an electric fence. At some point, you have to let go and catch your breath.

@ GypseeWind:

- Where you Sun or Pluto?

- Could you describe the aspect as you experienced it?

- Do you have any feeling of regret or hate towards him?

- Who was the obsessed one?

P.S. I have been the Sun and I didn't feel a thing.

You can Sun-Pluto Synastry (specify the square if you want to) on the search engine and you'll find a bunch of topics about the aspect. Some have descriptions and comments about experiences with it.

I have a Sun-Pluto DW with my crush, a square and a sextile.
I'm Sun in the square and I feel it a lot.

Hi Virgo,
I was the Sun both times.
I was obsessed with both of them, boy was I ever. Still love them both and I always will.

I had moon pluto also with the 7 yr one and venus pluto with husband. So sometimes it's hard for me to pick these apart.

Do I have bad feelings, yes and no. I have anger for the cheating they both did. But I was able to forgive them. The 7 yr person is currently not speaking to me bc I didn't want to get back together when he did around the new year. This was AFTER I spent a couple YEARS trying to get back with him. That's the thing about this aspect. It's a control issue at its basic function. Like you want to control everything about them. What they do, say... where they go, all of it. It's like a sickness. A fire you cannot put out and a thirst you can never quench. They will never love you as much as you feel you need them too. That's been my experience.

The guy I'm with now, we have Sun/Pluto DW bc apparently I never learn. And also, I like th ease sort of relationships.

But I do hope you get some relief dear. 🌹

@GypseeWind: Wow... So true.

In this case, I'm the pluto in most aspects but I don't get why she keeps playing not saying yes but not letting me go(WTF). I blame it on Mars in Libra.

She(Sun) has completely transform my life for the better but I don't get why is she always running away from me!?

I already confess about my feelings but she keeps pushing me away then asking why I'm acting distant. BTW her progress sun is in Virgo.... Aka Mix signal.

I have Mars in Libra and we can blow hot and cold, be indecisive and over think things to the point of inaction. Sucks. Secretly I've always wanted someone to just take the reins and tell me what im/we're going to do. Maybe she does too?

She has Mars square Sun. I don't think that will go well but I appreciate your inside.

I WAS in a long-term relationship with this aspect. I have a few squares in my chart so this aspect didn't turn out horrible at all. It really helped both of us grow tremendously.

Definitely not why we broke up either. Anything else you would like to know?

I have a Libra Pluto (singleton) and I have NEVER been able to deal with Cancers or Capricorns on a romantic level! I can barely stand them as friends. Aries' however, work real swell as do Libras. Pluto is square my Cancer Sun and Moon though so that might play a part. I think I have this need to "destroy" them in a metaphorical sense.
