I enjoyed reading it a lot (even though I got upset a little), thanks for sharing. I'm glad you're over that fairy tale. Well, you're kinda in a new one but who knows how it ends ^^------------------ Anomaling around since 1911. IP: Logged |

Hi Ceridwen, you have quite the gift of storytelling! Just saw this and couldn't help but be reminded, very strongly, of the second part of Tennyson's ballad The Lady of Shalott…which you probably know (if not it's here: http://www.bartleby.com/101/700.html ): ... There she weaves by night and day A magic web with colours gay. She has heard a whisper say, A curse is on her if she stay To look down to Camelot. She knows not what the curse may be, And so she weaveth steadily, And little other care hath she, The Lady of Shalott. And moving thro' a mirror clear That hangs before her all the year, Shadows of the world appear. There she sees the highway near Winding down to Camelot: There the river eddy whirls, And there the surly village-churls, And the red cloaks of market girls, Pass onward from Shalott. Sometimes a troop of damsels glad, An abbot on an ambling pad, Sometimes a curly shepherd-lad, Or long-hair'd page in crimson clad, Goes by to tower'd Camelot; And sometimes thro' the mirror blue The knights come riding two and two: She hath no loyal knight and true, The Lady of Shalott. But in her web she still delights To weave the mirror's magic sights, For often thro' the silent nights A funeral, with plumes and lights, And music, went to Camelot: Or when the moon was overhead, Came two young lovers lately wed; 'I am half sick of shadows,' said The Lady of Shalott. …. Do you know the song Loreena McKennitt made of this ballad? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0rVNQw1DQM Well, I guess I just wanted to post this to you - because it seems that you're not the only one who has experienced this, creating/weaving a world of your own - or that ballad would not exist; and in that poem, as you probably know, contact with the real world is in the end not all that unproblematic for the lady. So - I hope you're after all not like her, but in any case, don't you ever lie down in a boat to expire for the glory of romance, please! IP: Logged |

I am so glad I don't have a Pisces DSC Judging by your posts, gals, it's a real bugger falling in love with an idea of someone, who you'd never hug. That'd have ****** me off. Thank you, baby JesusIP: Logged |

Orange, the thing is, not to insult anyone, but it is not a "real" falling in love. It`s getting enarmoured by an idea, sure, and possibly it is that inbuilt "emotional safetynet" or ivory-tower thing. It has its strengths (can unleash creativity for example), but the drawback is it is not real relating. To relate to somebody, there has to be somebody, maybe not always physically present, but it surely helps, and in the least there needs to be a mutual awareness of each other and at least *some* sort of connection. Ahhh, so it's not appearing for Ceri, either? Well, that's just odd. I suppose there's something of a glitch there. IP: Logged |
