Sun conjunct Moon.
Moon conjunct Moon.

Which aspect do you feel is more significant in synastry?

In Sun/Moon...does the Man always feel awkward if he's the Moon in the relationship?

Your experiences with Moon/Moon?

I used to strongly dislike Aries Moons. Even though I'm an Aries Sun! But lately, I've bonded with some of the Moons and I've realized it's because my Sun is conjunct their Moon. I appreciate their emotional honesty.

When I meet another Cancer Moon and we're conjunct....it's so amazing. Natural. Easy. And deep. I just *ADORE* how we make each other feel.

Not asking for readings. Just general opinions. Don't want this moved.

Interpersonal Astrology is for any and all topics related to synastry. If I let this one stay here, I have give everyone the same exception. And before long, we will have lots of misplaced topics and people not able to find what they are looking for in an organized fashion.

i' m more attracted to people who have there SUN on my moon....dont know why but i've never really gotten along too well with those that have there moon aspecting my moon it usually doesn't feel as crazy when someone has there sun CONJUNCT my moon. most of all my longterm friendships have there sun in connection with my moon then those with there moon in harmony with my moon. i admit it's nice having someone's moon contacting my moon but i feel more of the impact when i meet an aries sun on my moon in aries.

Moon/Moon for me, personally, in very intimate/close relationships. I think it obviously depends so much on your natal, and the energy that feels the best for you.

For me, an emotional connection is always the thing I feel the best from - I'm almost too sensitive to handle relationships that involve a lot of sun, or intense sun energy.

As I think it factors into it, I'm a guy. Most of you probably knew.

My moon even in the same sign as their moon is a great mental/emotional connection.

Their sun in the same sign as my moon and often I'm intensely physically attracted.

As for my sun. I don't have much experience with either, romantically.

Both Sun/Moon and Moon/Moon are incredibly bonding. Neither one is more 'important' then the other. They are just different.

Sun/Moon is a yin/yang aspect and can indicate physical and romantic attraction, similar to Mars/Venus, but with it's own flavor. It's a deep primal connection.

Moon/Moon shows a very intimate emotional bond which is very important. However, the yin/yang attraction part would have to come from elsewhere in the synastry. Just by itself Moon/Moon is familial and platonic. Attraction could still be felt if the Moon rules one of the 5th, 7th or 8th houses though (but that's a whole other thread).

This thread may be of interest to you as well. It's about luminary aspects in synastry. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/003655.html

Sun/Moon is a crucial relationship/yinyang/romantic/marital aspect - a complementarity aspect.
Moon/Moon is a similarity aspect; it's part of having the same planet in the same sign series; a "brotherhood" type aspect.

So besides attraction, how do you feel being the Moon person? As a man? Some of the descriptions I've read online about this make it sound like this aspect feels difficult for many men.

I was aware that Sun-Mars could be primal. I didn't really realize this about Sun-Moon though! Interesting.

I've had Sun-Moon conjunct with at least (3) people I know. One with a good female friend - she's the Sun. And also with two guys that I know - in both scenarios they are the Moon.

Definitely got along with all of them pretty instantaneously.

LovelyAries

It may be me in particular but it's never made me uncomfortable. It's always been attractive to me.
Part of it could be that I have a healthy ego, and a strong sun myself. The other part is an Aries dsc. So I find strong (not arrogant!) Women attractive. So with their yang sun hitting my yin moon, I guess that's the way it comes across.
It's always been a very physical attraction.

I love them both, but I will have to choose Moon/Moon because this is a vs. thread, eh?

I've had some very significant Moon/Moon connections with friends, lovers, co-workers, and crushes.

The last relationship I have had was a Moon square Moon. Even that was a nice energy after we ironed out the misunderstandings and explained to one another where we were coming from emotionally. Keep in mind that our Moons were both in air signs (his Libra and mine Aquarius), but because of their positioning within the signs, it was a square aspect - he being a late Libra moon and mine in early Aquarius. Explaining our emotions just became natural to us. Honestly, it was the most understanding and sympathetic relationships I have ever had despite the bad rap that the square gets.

The conjunction is a nice treat. I feel like I have found my soul brother/sister. We are both from the same zany planet steeped in Aquarian energy.

The trine is nice too for getting along, but I find it boring. There is no energetic friction. We emotionally tune into each like correlating furniture in an IKEA catalog. Too easy. Personally, this is a good aspect for friendship, but it does not inspire growth.

For romantic relationships, I find sun/moon compatibility much more important, but those in which I'm the moon and the man is the sun. (I'm a woman.) So your gender-based theory makes sense to me.

However, in platonic relationships I find moon/moon and sun/sun compatibility more important.

I think with romantic relationships it has to do with complementing one another. I want that yin/yang aspect romantically, whereas with platonic friends I want yang/yang or yin/yin.
