aqua27, I want to thank you for posting, as what you said only confirms for me that I'm not alone in this-- not speaking from a place of fantasy, but rather experiencing something that is very real and that defies the odds. what I find especially fascinating is that we, too, have a child like quality to our exchanges, along with overtones of tenderness. now, thinking about it, I wonder if that has anything to do with our chiron being conjunct? total stab in the dark--just something that came to me now off the top of my head. I dont have enough knowledge of astrology to know if that even makes sense....?

Dear,ThedoctorisIN5c,
sorry, I seldom post, but your thread captured my attention, since Iīv been interested in kite pattern and the influence of generational planets (or lack of evidence of such influence in each and every individual`s lives).

To answer you first question, then, no, I don`t think that all the kites in itself are binding.
When I look at the kite in your composite and in my + my SO`s composite chart (which is repeated in synastry as we are born very close) it consists of
a grand water trine:
Jupiter in Cancer
Neptune in Scorpio
Saturn and Chiron conjunct in Pisces.
The kite is formed by the to opposition to the planets in Pisces by Pluto conjunct Uranus in Virgo.

In Your kite Mars has joined Uranus (and Pluto) in Virgo.
In our`s Venus has joined Saturn and Chiron in Pisces.

All these planets are generational, except Mars, Venus and Jupiter. And Jupiter also travels slow. A lot of people were born in in the mid 1960s with Pluto-Uranus in Virgo opposite Saturn-Chiron in Pisces, with Neptune in Scorpio sextiling Pluto-Uranus and trining Saturn-Chiron in Pisces.
If there was Moon or any planet traveling through the Cancer at your birth – then bingo, you were born with a kite pattern.

I don`t think this Kite`s energy means so much and influences every individual from our generation terribly deeply as many of us are born with this energy pattern, we are used to it and moreover we are used to interact on daily bases (already from schooldays etc) with people having such a pattern and that particular vibe. It is normal and common for us and we are accustomed to it.

Of course,if you got to be the owner of a Kite by geometric pattern completion (in synastry or composite) - if you donīt have such a pattern, and got a Kite by another person filling in the blank in Cancer, then I think it makes this type of generational Kite a little more significant and even binding.

If there are personal planets involved – and in Your case Mars makes a point that the Kite is somehow meaningful for you two, as Mars has joined Uranus and Pluto at the apex of Your Kite
It certainly adds flavor and energy. These three together form one end of the Kite īs spine, which channels energy and should act as a lightning rod, but with this trio as the lightning rod, one has to wonder a bit. It is a challenge to be triumphed, to successfully negotiate all this forceful energy and blend it into harmony.

If you take into account the house positions, then you can personalize the description even more. In your composite chart the spine of the kite (the opposition) falls into houses 1/7, which might be interpreted as the polarization and possible conflict on the axis of ego-partnering needs. But between an Aquarius and Libra the ego energies might not be a deep concern (wink, wink).

The wings of the Kite embrace harmoniously the 3rd and 11th houses, which certainly translates as good communication and friendship.

In synastry, (If You are outside) then the houses meanings of the kite formation are the same for your partner. But for You the spine unites the cusps of 1st / 2nd house and 8th house, meaning you might feel the relationship greatly transforms You, even more so if wings of the Kite touch Your IC, and fall in Your 12th house, which means a lot of your identity and subconscious are involved in and deeply touched by this relationship.

You could also look at other planets in composite or natal planets forming aspects with the Kite formation – eg Your Sun is quite close to the Kite`s apex, your partnerīs Sun squares the Neptune-wing and his Venus is quite close to the other end of Kite`s Spine.
In composite the conjunction of Mars-Uranus-Pluto is squared by Sun-Venus-Mercury. And this latter conjunction also forms a release point for Your composite T-square.

I hope it helps. I hope the courageous energy of Mars with the help of sovereign Sun, gentle Venus and brainy Mercury helps to overcome all Chiron`s wounds & brings excitement to all Saturn`s mundane daily & routine activities and helps you two to dream as big as Neptune and also manifest your dreams (Jupiter).

And I hope we (meaning me and my partner) can manage the Pluto, and are able to use the inspirational flashes of information Uranus brings from the Universe (the Virgo conjunction falls in our 12th house), that this influence will keep the trine (Jupiter, Neptune and Venus-Saturn-Chiron) electrized and the energy between these grand planets flowing harmoniously.
And that it helps to express our values and beliefs (Neptune in 2nd house) and to realize our hope`s and wishes (Jupiter in 10th house - for me this house represents the evolution of one`s spirit and mind, not just mundane career). And that maybe-maybe we can accomplish something as the conjunction of (Mercury)-Venus-Saturn-Chiron falls into Pisces and in 6th house, which should be an industrious enough position.

PS
If Todd still reads the thread I would be most grateful if he would agree to comment on my kite too.
