Tropical, sidereal, draconic and....helio?

Does that play a role?

Yes, I know the feeling though in my case goes way beyond friendship .

At first glance here are a few of our aspects. There are many exact trines, some oppositions and I think a few squares too.
I need to look more deeply into this because I am pretty amazed at the moment lol.

His Draconic Jupiter exact conjunct my Natal Moon.
His Draconic Venus-Juno conjunction conjuncts my Draconic DESC
His Draconic Sun conjunct my natal IC.

My Draconic Moon conjuncts his NN (natal)
My Draconic Jupiter conjunct his Natal Mars in his natal DESC

Edit: There is some Vertex action too. Does Vertex/anti-Vertex also play a role in Draconic charts?

This is something that I've always found interesting. A few people have said this to me and I just can't even imagine it. I never felt compelled to act on my feelings but it always gave me a strange mixture of flattery and a need to run when I've heard it.

I know it does sound strange to actually hear it but some people are just straight to the point when it comes to telling a person how they feel.

Or can that not be determined by astrology?

What aspects causes the feeling of wanting a person to be in your life forever?

I have a theory that it fully, solely depends on each person's natal.

For me, Saturn keeps me in place for a very long time. I'll go through hell and back with a person and not give up on them with enough Saturn in place. My current boyfriend is an example of this.

I am ruled by Uranus and always want to break free of pretty much um... everyone. But if there's a strong Saturn tie with a person, even if I technically walk away from them, I'm always looking for them over my shoulder and wind up running right back.

If there's not a good enough Saturn aspect with someone though, I can walk away for good.

Too much Uranus in a relationship, ironically (considering I'm ruled by it), will always make me bolt ASAP.

I also think, in my experiences so far, Neptune has been a big connector. I would blame Neptune most for the immediate connections with people.

I think people with Venus sextile Saturn in their natal are the type that can usually stick with people. I have Venus square Saturn and Venus square Uranus in my natal chart. So It would probably be me who would walk away from relationships with people.

Good point. Although, I thought that people who already HAVE saturn squares in their natal tend to deal with similar hard saturn energy in synastry a bit better than those with soft aspects in their natal - because they're already used to that 'hard knocks' kind of vibe?

I guess it's just everyone's different experience.

I have softer Saturn aspects in my natal, so when someone is way TOO serious, I maybe won't bolt but I will question things and in general just feel like the relationship is stagnating.

Yes this is true I think maybe sometimes I might be a little too serious for the guy who has Venus sextile Saturn. I'm trying to work on not being so serious all the time but it can be hard.
