Jupiter for trust makes sense because Jupiter speaks to inspired, high minded morals and ethics. Jupiter is very much about values, core values; I overlook this sometimes but it's totally important to remember the importance of harmonious Jupiter synastry. For instance Jupiter opp Jupiter in synastry is a real doozy... for how can you trust someone if your views are diametrically opposed? You would shoot a bear on sight? WHY? Kind of thing. Ethics. Morals. Important! Huge.

Erm, no.

I have Jupiter-opposite-Jupiter with someone, and it`s not like you described. fundamentally very smiliar views or not so much similiar, as complementing. Very sparkly and encouraging to give my thoughts a certain direction which I might not have seen before, but then it makes sense and just fits my beliefsystem as well.

But my own Jupiter squares my ASC-stellium, so I guess I am familiar with Jupiter-dynamic- aspects.

Just that is the thing with opposition, something we tend to overlook, that they connect planets in compatible elements, like the sextile does, too.
Just in the case of the opposition the modality is the same.

Yeah I can see how it could play out that way; I understand how oppositions can be complementary.. but for me it was really hard to reconcile that aspect with somebody. All depends on other things (Mercury aspects). I was able to see the other point of view but I couldn't implicitly trust their judgment...

Yes, it certainly does.
In our case two natal squares with Jupiter combined to form a T-square, with the arrow pointing at my Neptune-NN-ASC and his Mercury; neptune and Mercury being 3rd house rulers for both of us (and for him Mercury ruling the IC and DESC as well).
