Not in my case. I remember hearing that individual`s voice for the first time (not even having SEEN him at that time. lol), and it was like I could hear a bell ring, something indicating that life as I had known it before, was over. lol Pretty strong reaction to his voice, oh and for the first few year couldnt´hear his voice without physically shaking or actually even breaking out in sweat. Very physical response to his voice - and not one of repulsion.  But his Mercury conjunct Eros, both on my IC and opposing my Pluto along with the square to my Venus. and trine my Mars.

Very interesting. I had this aspect with my ex. My mercury squared her Venus and she would say to me often how she loved my voice but I never thought much of it. I've been told that before. And my Lust and Eros are conjunct my mercury and all squared her Venus. IP: Logged |

Mercury is my chart ruler.
I have Mercury conj Uranus on top of my Sun/Moon midpoint & Juno in my 3rd. I always love guys with deeep smooth voices and strong Mercury placements. Wooh!My on & off crush has the exact same configuration as me Merc conj Uranus conj his Sun/Moon MP. (as well as Venus/Moon/Pluto/Mercury all loosely conjunct in Virgo.) His Merc is also at 29 Virgo right on top of my ASC and conjunct my Pluto & Sun in early Libra. Needless to say I luuuuvvv chatting with him. It was a huge point of attraction from the beginning and he has this deep, resonant, laconic and drawling voice that sucks me in. Sometimes it can be really booming and full of vigor - I love it when he's more tired and relaxed and when he whispers - it's like purring ;} His Merc is also conj my Pluto and I do believe it creates a fascination with how he talks and how his mind works.
It's bizarre but I was simultaneously dating someone else early on who's Pluto conjuncted MY Mercury and he would always say how turned on he got by my voice! It baffled me totally b/c it was completely mundane conversation but considering I experienced it both ways...I can see what he meant! In general, the timbre of a guy's voice is a huge part of attraction for me. I favor guys with Mercury in Gem or Virgo, strong Mercury placements and a bit of Taurus and/or 2nd house influence in their chart. I used to be a singer and I've often been told I have a soothing & musical voice with both a low and high register - sometimes at the same time. Weird! Interesting, my boss' Venus is conjunct my Uranus/Mercury with a trine to his Saturn and I think that has saved me a lot over the last decade in a very conservative place. We always had a very good shorthand - he just intuitively knew what I meant & was open to a lot of my ideas. ME:

My beloved former fiance has Gemini Mercury conj my Venus trine her Libra Vertex conj my Neptune, and trine my Aries Mercury. I love her melodic voice--and when she sang little songs to me, it sent me right into The Vortex! IP: Logged |

an ex has his gemini mercury conjunct my cancer venus. the orb is 4 and they're out of sign, but I lOOOve his voice. he would start talking and I would immediately get distracted haha! his mercury was square my moon. he used to always tell me that he finds my voice calming (although I have mercury in Aries square Cancer mars!) and that he felt like he could read my thoughts. his moon is conjunct my mercury.with another ex, my venus is opposite his mercury/uranus/venus conjunction, and my mercury square his moon. he would always compliment my voice and always asked me to sing him to sleep haha. everybody else loved his voice too and he was a actually a voice actor and a singer and worked part time in radio, and owned a studio, BUT, as soon as he would talk, I would go in my head "pleeeeaaase shut up!"...yep, his mercury was square mine and opposite my venus, I found his voice downright annoying :-( IP: Logged |

I got a Venus-Mercury square (1°) with my SO. We are enchanted with the other one voice. I feel that my voice has a normal tone; but hi has a voice tone like Barry White, and that can melt my heart and soul! Indeed, his voice is his key feature. IP: Logged |

Mercury/Moon connections are lovely! Unfortunately, my Moon is opposite my Mars so there's some built in irritability there.Mercury square or inconjunct Mercury is also the pits. In the first, you're just alwayssss squabbling, in the second, so many misunderstandings...you just kinda miss each other mentally. I have mostly tended to do well with Leo Mercury sextile my Merc/Uranus in Libra or Merc in Aquarius in my 5th, always cool and interesting thinkers or Merc in Gemini and Virgo where it's really strong and usually not fighting with the rest of my planets. ;} I've also been warned, never pair up with a guy whose Mars square's the female's Mercury...he'll take you for a ride. As it square's my Uranus already...it doesn't tend to stick anyway. IP: Logged |

yes it's one of the best! it sort of feels like a telepathic connection between the two. my parents (married for 26 year) have moons square, but his moon is conjunct her mercury, and they claim that they have this telepathic connection with one another.

well this is interesting. I always find myself (with cancer mars and venus) immensely attracted to capricorn mars, but it seems like I can never become anything more than friends with them. but this may probably be for the better, as their mars would square my mercury.
and I only dated one guy (the gemini mercury guy mentioned above) who had his mars in cancer, but it was conjunct my venus and wasn't square my mercury (22 degrees orb!)..although I did at times felt like being taken for a ride! so maybe just mercury and mars being 3 sings away is enough to make it fail?
