So I met a new friend at the Sauna of my gym. He is an older gentleman but I loooooove his voice, the funny thing is that I was planning on complimenting him on it next time I saw him but he ended up beating me to it today and told me he really liked my voice, I couldn't believe it that he liked about me what I liked about him precisely. His birthday is March 26 so he is an Aries but I highly suspect he has Pisces in him like me, I am guessing he has Venus in Pisces. I have sun and mercury in Virgo and Moon in Pisces. What in synasty can lead to two people feeling really attracted to each other's voices??? IP: Logged |

Haha, I have a weakness for voices!I agree, Mercury-Venus is a top aspect for this. Well there are some celebrities whose voices I really really love, and could listen to them all day, just reading the phone book. lol For instance one of them has his Mercury conjunct my Venus/Mars-mp by 3 minutes. In another case when I was first drawn to someone`s voice, he has Mercury-Eros conjunction in Aries on my IC, opposing my Pluto and square my Venus. Also trines my Mars-Neptune-NN-ASC. and naturally I like Mr Sag`s voice; his Mercury is conjunct my Mars-Neptune-NN-ASC and square my Jupiter (and natally he has Mercury conjunct Venus/Pluto, and my ASC-stellium falls therefore onto his Venus/Pluto-mp) Seems I like their Mercury in *some* relation to my Mars as it seems. hmm
EDIT For some reason I also like Orlando Bloom`s and Stuart Townsend`s voices.
Blooms Mercury-Mars-conjunction falls right onto my Venus As for Townsend he`s one of the long line of Sag-Mercuries. lol And his Mercury conjuncts my Amor exactly and my Mars by 3 degrees. So yes, seems to support my new theory of at least for me the connection to my Mars being important there.
EDIT 2 I also loved Alan Rickman`s voice, and he had a Mercury-Venus-conjunction right on my Jupiter and square my Mars.

just thought of another singer whose voice I liked (though to a little less degree) and he happens to have Mercury on 7 Leo trine my Mars. lolSo I guess it is safe to say I have worked out *my* theme in terms of voices I like, in fact it pretty much jumped at me. But I doubt this will be a theme for everybody, might just be my personal one.

Just realized my progressed Venus-Mercury has been conjunct Elvis' natal Venus-Mercury in Capricorn, for years.Yes I could listen to him reading the phone book! My husband has Venus conjunct Mercury. Ex-soulmate has Venus conjunct Mercury. No I didn't do that deliberately, I only started with astrology in 2011 and realized it after all was said and done. But I have Venus sextile Mercury so that's probably why I am "attuned" to other Venus-Mercury people. IP: Logged |

Yes, you seem to have a thing for Venus-Mercury. Well I find it interesting that my Venus and my Mercury are the only planets that are out of bounds in my declinations. Mercury 24°38 S Venus 24°06 S But yes so I have a parallel of Mercury-Venus, which according to Kannon is a major aspect (and I tend to agree with him on that), plus Mercury is on the antiscion of my Venus (1°09), though that happens rather often with parallels near the tropic.

There's one woman that I feel this way about. Her mars is EXACTLY on my MC and her mercury is nearby and conjunct. Her moon also while we're at it. Hahaha IP: Logged |

Yes!!! _ Absolutely. Merc-Venus conjunction/trine/sextile is sweet love notes and could-listen-to-you-talk-all-day and all that kind of mushy romance. Yeah, why do people overlook poor Mercury? IP: Logged |

Oh goody! I was going to ask a needy question like "does the Venus person feel it too? How do they feel? In contexts other than romance also, this one is a blessing to have, don't you think..? Any positive Mercury aspect, for that matter (Moon-Merc, Merc-Merc, Venus-Merc or Sun-Merc) - are good for 'smoothing things over'. Coz both people involved will be receptive to each other. 'Get where they're coming from'. Or at least willing to talk it out. IP: Logged |

That's neat, that they're both out of bounds. My Gemini Mars is out of bounds (25°51 N) and I have: Mercury 19°56' S Venus 19°24' S No wonder we get along IP: Logged |

Yes I totally agree! Mutual understanding just feels so good. And if the sentiment is good, the voice quality doesn't matter as much, either...though I find they go hand-in-hand. Sensitive people tend to speak a certain way.

Yeah..! I have the conjunction with my boss, and our 15 minute calls turn into hour-long discussions about any number of random things.. It just feels good and comfortable, you know.. Even if we don't share the same PoV, we can disagree without animosity. IP: Logged |

Explains a lot, right? But it's Rx so...I don't know. quote: Originally posted by Ceridwen: And love your Venus-Mercury-parallel as well, it might parallel my Neptune on 20.16 S
Thank you...yes, that IS parallel right? My husband's got Saturn-Uranus @ 19° ~ I forget if it's north or south but my Venus-Mercury gets to enjoy that on a daily basis. LOL But I guess with my Mercury in Aquarius, having Aqua's co-rulers (Saturn, Uranus) so close by feels pretty natural actually. Anyway, 19° N or S must be a good synastry spot for me. Does Mr Sag have anything on your Mercury-Venus? IP: Logged |

@Elysia - oh that's nice! I'm happy you have a good relationship with your boss. Gosh this thread makes me want to look at the declinations of everyone whose voice I ever liked! I love new research ideas. Thanks hypatia! IP: Logged |

Cool my Southnode is @23d02'33 S, I love how you express yourself and explain things, I find it easy to digest, process and pretty and soothing, I suppose its familiar in a comforting way since it activates my southnode. IP: Logged |

yayyy do share your findings But yes mercury is totally under rated and I am saaadly guilty of that but is a huge blessing to have nice mercury aspects with someone or to have nice mercury to venus aspects natally! I concur with you all. As someone whose mercury rules my 7th, an attractive voice is very important to me so yes I seem to like people with mercury to venus aspects natally, my husband has mercury sextile venus and mercury conjunct Eros and if I did not like his voice soo much over the phone I might have never met him in person. We met online originally. IP: Logged |

I had the sextile with a coworker of mine, I didn't have a thing for his voice but we were always shocked by our tendency to get lost talking for hours and 'oh where did the time go? Have we really been talking this long?' It's so nice to come across that.

There is a guy I know that has the sexiest voice! His Mercury squares my Sun, his Moon is parallel my Mercury, and his Mercury is contra-parallel my chart ruler, Uranus. These are all exact aspects. We also have Mars trine Sun and Mercury DW, Venus square Mars DW, Mooon conjunct Pluto exact, and square Suns. His Sun and Mercury also conjunct my DC and North Node. It's not just his voice that I find attractive , but I would actually listen to a recording of him just to hear his sexy voice. I don't know if he feels the same about my voice, but conversations between us have always been easy. We could talk for 45 minutes while he should be working, but it felt like only 5 minutes passed. His Sun is parallel my Venus, but it doesn`t quite reach my Mercury. lol Anyway we have the DW of Sun-Venus- parallel so that is nice I guess. According to Kannon it`s like a conjunction, could be worse (and actually explains some things). Though I guess my Saturn being contraparallel his Venus might be a little wet blanket sometimes (but then again he has a Saturnian Venus and Saturn on DESC, so maybe he doesn`t expect anything different? lol) IP: Logged |

I know right? And well, he has complimented my on my voice (I guess 'coz he's the Venus person, figures ) Not in a creepy way though, completely nice.. ! It's definitely good to have for effortless rapport. IP: Logged |

OMG I did not see this coming lol. His mercury conjuncts exact my AMOR! That would explain why I love his voice, crazy huh??? Interestingly his amor sextiles my pholus which forms a YOD with my mercury at the apex so we have an amor aspect mercury double whammy. Astrology is awesome haha....His Pluto conjuncts by 1d my mercury and I have Mercury parallel Pluto. He seems to find me interesting to talk to. IP: Logged |
