Orange,Agree. I think 2.5 degrees orb max is a very good guideline. Wider orbs will work too but you will only notice and understand their dynamic years later. That's how weak they are. I've compared other Pluto aspects with different people, some I have exact to a degree, others 5 degrees. The exact aspects are felt immediately.
I give wider orbs to luminaries and I have felt wide orbs to luminaries and I have numerous charts that have felt for example the wife's moon conjuct the man's sun within 6 degrees applying! And strongly feels the influence. And among other charts I strongly disagree with orange Im not trying to be rude but we have to take into account of the natal chart for instance her moon is angular it's clnjunct her descendent within 4 orbs and his sun is conjunct her descendent in pisces. They have only been together for 2 years and there relationship is very positive they both seem very happy I also have more charts but this is just one of the examples. Luninaries angular planets stelliums I believe should have wider orbs of value.
I understand pluto is so generational and it is an outer planet. I also like to consider progressed synastry just as important as natal synastry but that's another topic entirely slme astrologers don't believe in progressed synastry and some do.
Orange has stated that my partners 7th ruler Mars is widely conjunct my sun, well the sun is a luminary and it's in the same house her Mars is in (which I find conjunctions in the same house important as well) and it is also parallel but she doesn't think we have a sun Mars conjunction but only I know that for myself. Plus I also have to give more credit to her progressed Mars conjuct my sun within 2 orbs so that is also manifesting as well however it is not separating in progressed synastry. She is defently very motivated to have a relationship with me.
