Mercury as a relational planet:° Mercury ruling 7th or 5th house ° Mercury in 7th or 5th house ° Mercury dispositing Venus ° Mercury conjunct Venus or the ruler of 7th or 5th house There might be more cases in which Mercury becomes a relationship planet, but those were the ones I can think of. Moon in Gemini or Virgo or in strong aspect to Mercury might qualify too, in a more emotional than strictly romantic/relational sense (unless of course Moon is in 5th or 7th house or rules these houses). For you it is definitely a very important marker in your personality, dispositing both luminaries. So in personal important relationships you would need to have Mercury-interaction in any case.

Sorry, I failed to deduce that you interacted regularly IRL since it said "a friend of mine and me who exchange at least 2 emails per week, we do not have the conj. in pr composite." So, I jumped to the conclusion that it was a strictly online friendship. My bad! IP: Logged |

Thank you for clarifying! That sounds about right, even though it isn't a relational planet per se, it would make sense that it's important for me since I'm "mercurial", due to the luminaries, as you say. But, what a bummer, because in that case maybe the theory holds true for me specifically, which would, as said, be a bummer! I forgot to say that Moon actually trines Mercury. How did I miss that? It's a Grand Trine between Mercury/Moon/Saturn.

Well Mercury is a relational planet for me (ruler of DESC), but as you can see I donīt have the pr conjunction with everyone I interact with. IP: Logged |

Hmm, then maybe it won't hold true the longer I try to apply this theory to my interpersonal relationships, or maybe it's something else that does it. Mercury ruled luminaries and possibly ASC. Do you have a lot of Mercury influence in your chart? My theory is something like this. Sun/ASC the physical body, the ego expression - Mercury communication. So, since my Sun is in Gemini it's a Mercurian ego/body/expression, hence maybe important in progressed composites to show if my BODY/my EGO/my ME is in communication with the other person. Well, that was maybe obvious already Though, of course I slightly twisted the theory now to fit my own mercurial self. IP: Logged |

... and I realized that in my case maybe it's not so important that it's a relational planet (implying romantic relationships), because this holds true not only for my partners but also friends and families, which would be ruled by 11th or something like that.*but I'm a newbie, so bear with me!* IP: Logged |

Mercury, as ruler of 7th house, is conjunct my Sun exactly. So yes, he is definitely extremely important. BTW I do think that the Mercury-Sun aspects if exact ARE meaningful, yes, Just the opposite does not hold true, a lack of Mercury-Sun does not mean you wonīt communicate at all. I mean seriously? Even if you have at some point the conjunction at exact degrees, and then it fizzles off, but it is very unlikely that you will stop talking then, if you have forged a real profound connection. For example I am sure my parents had that at one point, too. IP: Logged |

Hmm, no, most probably not, Ceridwen. I can't really decide on this one. I will keep investigating some.IP: Logged | |
