I sh*t you not the last two days I've been humming Christmas songs. Silent Night, Jingle Bells.... Anyway.... New day, New start. ETA: I wonder what subforum I should post personality type discussion. (MBTI and Enneagram)

@Ceri, Enjoyed reading your post.. "satanic witch stuff"? Goodness.. It is a wonder, not to mention sad for the kids. Imagine being banned from reading Harry Potter.. @Faith, I get you..no worries @Dop.. Are you also thinking of discussing placements that go with those personality types? If you are then you might just stick it in Astro 2.0. Otherwise not sure, sweet peas or LLC2 or others that I don't know of...(?) Lovely cloudy day today.. Have a nice day everyone! IP: Logged |

Yeah, well yesterday was weird. The trip was actually hellish - to get there I mean (we were caught in jamtraffic for over 2 hours, which made it a drive of over 6 hours instead of 4, and almost without break - unless you count standing practically still in a caravan of cars. lol) So that was the not so nice part. There were nicer parts though, as in the chatting with my aquaintance and her aquaintances and then there were other parts to the day, too.

I love that! But I found myself humming christmas songs as well. Weird. I do not know about where to post the other typologies, but well if comparing to others, you can keep it here I Guess.
My MBTI is either INFJ or INFP, it depends a little, if I am in school I tend to score INFJ and if on holidays INFP. lol Though I guess INFJ is more frequent?
AS for enneagram, it`s been long ago I did those, but whenever I did I scored very high on 5 and 6 (and occasionally 4). Sometimes it was main 5 with wing 6 sometimes the other way round.
Do you have a good link to share so Icould retake a test?

Well I'm glad you ask. We can keep discussing it here as well if no one minds. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/005335.html I also get 6w5 and 5w6. It's driving me absolutely mad to determine a definite one. I don't like this, "oh I could be one of the other." (For myself that is.) Though INTJ is unquestionably 100% true. It's not even close.

Hmm, that is strange. I took the quick enneagram test and they said my major types were 6, 4 and 9 Where is the 5? And 9? Since when THAT?

Do you have somewhere that you think might be more accurate? I'm up for it if you have one. I'll get a bigger sampling to try to narrow this down. IP: Logged |

Oh I am not saying it is NOT accurate. will take the longer test tomorrow I think, just to be sure. I do have changed quite a bit during the last 3 years I think, or well not changed, but bringing forth more of a different side of me. So it might be that the results could be changing a little as well. Well I am apparently still scoring a 6 a main number, and it makes sense to me. IP: Logged |

http://pstypes.blogspot.in/2009/11/pstypes-enneagram-test.html?m=1I really like this one! I found it being recommended by others in other forums. It's good. So now I'm convinced that I'm 5w6. I've gotten that a lot more. IP: Logged |

^ Never taken enneagram.. Or maybe I did, very long ago? I'll try this link..As for MBTI, well I used to be an INTJ then went INFP. But haven't taken one recently. Wonder what it says now. Also, do you guys have a more subtle test for MBTI anywhere that you've seen? I'm always tempted to game the system (ha). IP: Logged |

6w5?! I'm stunned! So far only one person hasn't been 6w5 or 5w6. Granted, it's a tiny sample size right now. Mine is as follows: Type one: 36 Type two: 3 Type three: 28 Type four: 34 Type five: 53 Type six: 39 Type seven: 3 Type eight: 26 Type nine: 36 IP: Logged |

^Haha! I'm a 5w4 .. whatever that means.. Oh, I'm reading descriptions and it seems to fit (so far at least). But I haven't explored the types yet, so not sure if another might fit better (not that that's up to me to decide, just curious). "The traits of the Five and those of the Four reinforce each other in many ways. Both Five and Four are withdrawn types: they turn to the inner world of their imagination to defend their egos and to reinforce their sense of self. They both feel that something essential in themselves must be found before they can live their lives completely. Fives lack the confidence to act, and Fours lack a strong, stable sense of identity. Thus, Fives with a Four-wing have difficulty connecting with others and staying grounded." Says this site. Just peachy, eh? Really though, the whole article is pretty good. IP: Logged |

I suppose you've already read quite a bit on these, but this is just an attempt to have some snippets of info for people like me (who might read this) and not be familiar with these types: For starters, since we have type 5 & 6 people here --Type 5 quote: Type Five in Brief:: Fives are alert, insightful, and curious. They are able to concentrate and focus on developing complex ideas and skills. Independent, innovative, and inventive, they can also become preoccupied with their thoughts and imaginary constructs. They become detached, yet high-strung and intense. They typically have problems with eccentricity, nihilism, and isolation. At their Best: visionary pioneers, often ahead of their time, and able to see the world in an entirely new way.Basic Fear: Being useless, helpless, or incapable Basic Desire: To be capable and competent Enneagram Five with a Four-Wing: "The Iconoclast" Enneagram Five with a Six-Wing: "The Problem Solver" Key Motivations: Want to possess knowledge, to understand the environment, to have everything figured out as a way of defending the self from threats from the environment.
Source: this site.Type 6 quote: THE LOYALIST Enneagram Type Six The Committed, Security-Oriented Type: Engaging, Responsible, Anxious, and SuspiciousType Six in Brief The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also reactive, defiant and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. At their Best: internally stable and self-reliant, courageously championing themselves and others. Basic Fear: Of being without support and guidance Basic Desire: To have security and support Enneagram Six with a Five-Wing: "The Defender" Enneagram Six with a Seven-Wing: "The Buddy" Key Motivations: Want to have security, to feel supported by others, to have certitude and reassurance, to test the attitudes of others toward them, to fight against anxiety and insecurity.

@Dop, Here's some more samples for you. This is from another forum - they took this data from the community information and put it together Percentages (this one looks a bit dodgy to me): IP: Logged |

Wow, thank you for your research! I'm glad you've enjoyed it. What's funny is that to me it's all very true. However, as I grow older some things become more true and others less true. Are you able to think back, perhaps years ago and see some traits fade and others come to the front? The tables. Well, yes I normally would think, "nah. There's no way!". So far with the few here who have participated there's a lot of 5 and 6. I totally didn't expect that. I thought that I was a weirdo. Well, I probably still am. Hopefully Faith doesn't mind the switch in topic IP: Logged |

Yes, I think when I first did that many years ago I was a main type 5 with wing 6 or 4. What happened for me is that I`ve become more connected to the present experience. While 5`s usually or at least frequently detach from the experience the moment it happens and sort of "save" it for a later examination through the mind and only THEN experience it (it`s extreme, I know, but I was at the extreme end of this), I`ve started FEELING the moment WHEN it happens (and still analyse it later on ). I`ve simply become more connected to the world around me, myself and people, not in an intellectual way only, but by incorporating sensual perception as well. I think that is the biggest change, to not store my feelings for "later". Well the understanding comes later still, but a few years ago I would almost feel disconnected from my own emotional experience in that way, and that is totally gone now.
My mind and heart and body are finally on speaking terms again.

Holy crap Ceri You just completely described me! (As a current 5 main type) You nailed it. I'm stunned. I'm glad that you moved past it. As a 6 wing... Well. Ok, time to be honest. I'm scared to let it happen in the moment. Seriously, it frightens me. IP: Logged |
