Yes, now that you mention it.I have Saturn in Cancer in 11th, trine my Sun. My Saturn makes a trine to my dad's Moon, which is conjunct my Sun. He also has Mars in Cancer. Our relationship is very understanding and empathetic, and we often talk in depth about our feelings about whatever. Although my dad's Moon is conjunct my Sun, I've never really thought that my Sun's placement or aspects represented him much. This makes more sense. IP: Logged |

Lately I've been feeling kinda... But I'm better now.
I think a lot of people have been feeling this way lately. Mercury should not go Rx during the holidays, it makes everyone feel all weird.

I didn't know he has a Pisces moon...I would think your Saturn trine his moon would feel really supportive, and maybe the relationship gets better over time (because that's how Saturn is)?
Thanks! He and my brother are both Libras with Pisces Moons, lol. We are all very obviously related, besides the fact that my dad and I have our ACs about 2 degrees apart.
And yes, definitely. We were always close, but we had one of those very typical (unfortunately) relationships when the child from the first marriage sort of gets shuffled off and away from the second family. Not intentional on my dad's part, he had his stuff going on, but we're much closer now. IP: Logged |

This is kind of funny. My mom and I both have Saturn in Aquarius. My dad and my brother both have Saturn in Pisces. What were the chances of this happening? ---- No one in my family seems to play a Saturn-like role - not even by declination. I wonder if my family's lack of Saturn aspects with my natal chart suggests that I'm naturally Saturn-like. After all, I do have a Sun-Saturn square. By progression, Saturn also makes a tight sextile to my progressed Ascendant. And, of course, my natal Saturn makes a sextile to my progressed Ascendant. So, I theorize that I experience Saturn's influence from within, especially after my Saturn became Retrograde by progression. IP: Logged |

I have saturn in virgo in my 12 house. My dad wasn't around very much and skipped out on his kids so he could drink , drugs and rock and roll I guess. I am thankful for what moments we did have and I do love my daddy. He is an aries though. I think more of my grandpa as more to my dad and he was an aries as well. I did however leave my family when I was 12 to go live in an orphanage where things were detailed, structured and strict. I guess this would be why saturn in virgo(detail, structure, etc) in 12 (loss) . Saturn is also conjunct my northern node there as well.IP: Logged |

Return of the Saturn figure? Because.... ::<Omitting aspects in case you wish to take them down later>:: Interesting...new moon there, conjunct Pallas. And really, it was the end of one life and the beginning of another. Well I think I've said all I need to say, class dismissed.
OMG. Not just the degrees of the sun, but personal planets and the Vertex no less. All these synchronicities, amazing!!! Makes you fall in love with astrology all over again, eh? IP: Logged |

^ That's so sweet.. Maybe the type of Sun-Saturn aspect does, to some extent, point to the type of relationship with the father. In your case, the trine. Moon-Sun is also very supportive, at least emotionally supportive. IP: Logged |

So sorry things were that way for you. Maybe that imposed structure was part of life lessons (Saturn conjunct NN).. ? IP: Logged |

My father has Saturn/Moon conjunct in Aquarius and it squares my Sun, Moon and Venus. His conjunction is on my MC which is also connected to the father I think (although some say MC represents the mother).IP: Logged |

Faith,I am unable to post charts in here, I have tried and just unable to make it work. I have no problem with you looking at it or even posting it. He was born April 19, 1957 in Surry Co NC I think or East Bend NC. I know somewhere in that area, I am not for sure of his birth time. If you have any questions I will be glad to answer them. I am not sensitive to talking about too much from my childhood, just more responsive to rejection\criticism which is ok, rightfully earned because of things I went threw. ( a lot of therapy there) It's more of an understanding for emotional responses hence being a Cancer and having to learn to swim with the currents instead of drowning. IP: Logged |

Faith, I did want to mention that he may not be my dad, I think so given my grandfather was an aries as well. Grandmother was a Taurus. Mom was gemini. It's just he once told me that my real dad could be a black guy because of my features. I doubt this but it does stick with me that what if ? He wasn't all bad so please understand this, he was an alcoholic and my aunt explained that he loves us, he just loved himself more. IP: Logged |

This thread makes me sadder than is rational...it makes me sadder than I thought it would. So thanks for holding the fort down.
Wow. What an eery thing to happen that day, of all days! It takes just a moment like that to shake us up, and show us how thin the line is between what could have been and what is. I'm so glad your husband was there to save the day. Don't worry about it, it's completely understandable that this thread would make you feel that way. Not only does it bring back all those memories for you, but also causes your Pisces moon to be inundated with everyone else's sorrow. Even I only come here when I feel like I can handle it. Sort of. Well, depends on the orbs we're using. I don't see any aspects to personal planets, but his Saturn does oppose my Jupiter by 2 degrees, which doesn't even make sense. My Saturn also squares his Jupiter by 2 degrees. Hard aspects between Saturn and Jupiter aren't positive, are they? I don't generally clash with my dad. I usually get along with both my parents. Anyway, his Saturn makes a sextile to my North Node within 1 degree too. Still, I don't generally look for anything outside of personal-planet contacts in non-romantic synastry, because in synastry, most people are talking about a romantic relationship. I may re-investigate the composite to see if I missed anything there. With the composite, I mainly compared it to our natal charts and found nothing, but I may have ignored Saturn contacts from within the composite itself. IP: Logged |
