2) Aspects between rulers are what we're looking for. What about planets in the houses? Would you count for example a Venus in 5th house (natal) conjunct partner's Mars (ruler of his 7th house) as 5+7 connection? Is it as significant as ruler of 5th house conjunct ruler of 7th house?

1)Depends on what the rising (or setting) signs are for each. For example, my Leo rising sign ruled by 9H Aries Sun. One of my fave rising signs is Aries, ruled by Mars. So, her Mars in Aries conjunct my Sun would empower my basic Aries and 9H energies--and my Aries Sun would strongly activate her Aries and 1H energies.

Another example. Same person with Libra setting with late Gemini Venus would conj my Gemini Uranus, ruler of my 7H. Romantic possibility--although perhaps temporary, depending on other factors.

Her birthtime is July 10, 1990 around midnight. However, other factors don't work well for mutual romance.

2) Yes, 5H Venus conj partner's 7H Mars could work well, depending on other factors, such as their rising signs, and Sun--Moon synastry. 5H ruler conj partner's 7H ruler might be good, depending on the planets involved.

Thank you very much for your answer! So in your example you have: 1) rulers of 1H conjunct - Sun and Mars and 2) rulers of 7H conjunct - Venus and Uranus. So yes for 1 and sort of no for 2 (because of longevity/instability problem that Uranus often creates)?

What if, let's say you had it the other way round (just for the sake of example) - if Venus was your 1H ruler and Uranus their 7H ruler? What would change? Would that be better, worse? I'm trying to understand the difference between 1-7 and 1-1 or 7-7. Venus-Uranus conjunction as 1-7 versus Venus-Uranus conjunction as 7-7 or 1-1.

In my case it's Venus-Mars conjunction, double whammy.

Venus (my 1H ruler, I'm Libra Asc) conjunct his Mars (his 1H ruler)
Mars (my 7H ruler) conjunct his Venus (his 7H ruler)
