I've read it can be hot but it can also raise angry feelings.
What's your take and/or experience of that aspect in synastry?

Skyviewzone says:

quote:
You feel a strong sexual attraction, but can easily find yourself in angry confrontations because of your feeling that your partner just wants to assert his/her own way of doing things, whether it be making love or painting the house. If your partner’s Mars is in opposition to your Moon your partner’s assertions of direction and authority will bring out the fierce competitor in you. You know a better way - yours. All this passion has an underlying sexual attraction but it is accompanied by friction and irritation because you have to have your partner's agreement before you get anywhere.

Any experiences with it, anyone?
I have it with someone and he seems to think I'm angry when I simply assert myself. I came to the realization that he was projecting but it's very confusing because there's a potential sexual attraction here as well.

I had it in a both way..

My Moon opps his Mars (wide)
His moon sq my Mars..

A LOT of sexual attraction... I never wanted someone so bad in my life... :O

We both just hurt each other's feelings, but I would just shrug it off..
Then we got into a huge argument, and so hurtful things were said...
It really really effected me.. Just deeply hurt my feelings...
So I avoided and ignored him, which in turn hurt his feelings..
Shrug...
We dont speak anymore... To many hurt feelings, and I guess neither of us can let that go..

I've known people whose Mars opp my Moon and others my Mars opp their Moon. No crazy arguments or fights, not that much attraction either, at least on my side. I should add that neither my Libra Mars nor Capricorn Moon enjoy having to be held hostage to someone else's obnoxious antics. I will seek the first ticket out of town, esp where Cancer Mars is concerned because they are a drain on my system. Aries Moons I tend to admire, they're usually either conj my MC or trine my ASC.

I have had DW opposition and square in synastry. Amazing sexual attraction and a lot of tension, like a volcano about to erupt and usually it did. we seemed to both relish this though. Although this aspect was not just sexual, the attraction was on a primal, emotional level so I think it goes way deeper than Venus-Mars for instance.

LOL, it's possible I've been in denial all along. I'm not interested in the person romantically or sexually but he could be! That would explain a lot.

It does not feel good to me, intuitively, although I have never had it.
I have Mars conjunct Moon in the natal(7 degrees)
I don't like Mars near the moon, so I would not like it in synastry.

The funny thing is, his Mars opposite my Moon is conjunct my Venus and square my Mars!! So definitely sexual attraction comes to play. The scary thing is that his Mars is almost exactly opposite (we're talking about less than ten seconds away from) my Moon. He's a Libra Sun and my Jupiter (I'm Sag Sun) is conjunct his Sun. He even has the natal Jup-Sat opposition that I have. Weird things are happening.

You're right, Ami.
For a Libra Sun, to have his Mars in Scorpio it's rather out of order. Not very balanced. But I can see where that leads to bad relationships...

On another kind of "relationship" front such as a parent and child - my 9 year old has her mars opposite my moon. We have our moments. She gets pouty and accuses me that I don't love her and I just reassure her. I have a Cardinal T square in Aries, Libra and Cappy and she has 4 planets in Cancer - how do you think things play out with her?

Yet another kind of relationship.

One of my best friends has her Mars opposing my Moon by 3 degrees with my Moon also falling onto her Sun and Saturn and MC, while her Mars falls into my 8th house.

I haven`t yet noticed any hurtful tendencies or aggressions (we`ve known each other for 8 years), but she has a tendency to put her finger exactly where it hurts, exactly on that spot I rather would not want to see, but know eventually I have to face.
I find it extremely rewarding actually.

I have Moon-Mars in opposition to my mate. And there is lust. But its prone to up/downs.

Moon/Mars,
Moon/Mercury,
Moon/Uranus,
Venus/Mercury
Venus/Mars
Venus/Uranus
Mercury/Uranus
Mars/Uranus connections are prone to be erratic by nature I guess.

I think the opposition can be a lot like the square or the conjunction. Very hot and passionate. The reason I say this is because with someone I have the square in progressed composite, the opposite in Draco and the natal parallel (which functions as a conjunction).

Same here
My partner's Mars conj my Venus and makes an opposition to my Pluto+Moon
Attraction is real, but we fight a lot and my partner is more active in arguments, so my feelings are really hurt

Oh, I've experienced it too. Why do you think it's a rewarding thing?

How will this play out?

His Mars in Cancer
opposes
Her Moon in Capricorn

Both are in detriment.

But if we exchange the planets position (assuming there is a blending of energy with this opposition), Moon will be in its rulership (Cancer) and Mars in exaltation (Capricorn)... then would this play out positively? or worse?

i have experience the trine (I was mars) and yes, it stimulate the emotions, but it also triggers angry feelings. well whatever touch your mars in synastry stimulate anything associated to mars (passion, anger, competitiveness, and so forth). in my case venus-sun was part of the combo, so.. not that bad.

however, mars is not a relationship planet. it is selfish and its goal is to achieve what he wants and when he wants it. so, it add passion to a relationship and emotions are triggered, but the moon is nurturing, mars is not. if the aspect that the moon person receive from the mars person is only mars (no venus, no jupiter, no moon), that would be more passion from mars, but no feelings. unless, mars is the ruler of 7th or 5th.

So if Mars is the Moon person's Descendant ruler, would there be feelings?
