Topic: Mars Conjunct Venus- Just friends?

Ohh I misunderstood "same sign" written here. Thought it was in Aqua too, for a moment I was happy to meet a fellow Aqua Mars coz they're so rare to find here. quote:

Hm turns out it's in Virgo, reminds me that I had a crush on Virgo Venus girl, things are subtle with Virgo for sure. Anyway when I was checking out the placements of her chart I realised that her Venus conjuncted my Best friend's Mars, my reaction was like "shietttt!!!!" when I saw the degree. Though he never told me that he was interested in her coz I told him about my crush on the girl right when we saw her for the first time. I do wonder what he felt. Haha. IP: Logged |

I have the conjunction with the orb of 1 degrees with my mom (I am venus)on its own, mars conjunct venus means nothing if any, the venus person tends to run away or distance themselves from mars because he/she finds mars to have a bad temper or be too violent, and mars tends to find venus too shallow, slow, or overall annoyying in men/women synastry, it's not a romantic aspect, and there should be other synastry aspects as well to give the relationship a sustained feel IP: Logged |

Not a romantic aspect? That's what I've always read about this aspect. I'm the Mars person and I've never had a bad temper towards the Venus person. If anything I think the Venus person is sweet. I would never be violent towards them either. That sounds more like Mars square Pluto.

nope, mars/pluto aspects involve power games mars/venus contacts involve annoyance mostly maybe you feel this way because of another synastry aspect, or because that's what you've always been reading  but again, believe what you want, I just stated my own experience as well as others'

@emoppositions are very different they ring major attraction! usually the coming together comes faster and is more enjoyable than when it's the conjunction in one sign mars/venus opposition, very hot

Hmmm it’s funny bc I know a couple who have his mars opposite her venus exact! However their sex life is nothing to call home about... very blah. She is also NOT his ideal woman when it comes to physical attraction. I suppose other things would point to the lack of that physical spark ? 🤷🏻♀️IP: Logged |

It's not the same for everyone just because one person says the opposition is stronger. Doesn't mean it's true for everyone who has this aspect. There could be things going on in their own birth charts. I don't know why people always assume. That because they experience something with an aspect. That everyone else will experience the same thing too. For some the conjunction, sextile or trine might be stronger it just depends. But yes there could be something else in their synastry causing it.IP: Logged |

I even have done charts for friends who have crushesd on our other friends and the one who always had the crush was the Venus person,=) IP: Logged |

Hey DC!!!I can attest to all of this.
I've said before that I think Mars Venus is just to make sure two people come together. It does not signify staying together, but its the spark to make them take notice of each other. It runs in families too, like girl said. My kids have it in conjunction and trine. They fight one minute then giggle the next. I have it with my sister. But I have had the conjunction twice, where I was Venus. Not good after the initial spark but we had nothing to tie us together. The opposition was just as girl said- holy crap, major
attraction. Massive. Undeniable. But when the energy had no where to go, it led to massive frustration. The only time I was Mars was in a trine. And I was definitely the pursuer. Though I did want a real relationship, or so I thought. But we did have other nice things to tie us together. All the rest were sexual aspects, no long lasting good binds.
PS The second time there was a man's Mars on my Venus- we never even made it to a date. We made plans, then he started saying things about how good the chemistry was and how he just wanted to run his fingers through my hair. Ummm, no way. We had just started talking for crying out loud! I shut that one down fast.

Oppositions weren't that great to me, fyi I have an opposition with my brother so that runs in the family too =) he annoys me some times, it's not just the conjunction the makes people annoyed. =)IP: Logged |

What if you have Mars conjunct Venus and Mars sextile Venus in synastry? I guess it wouldn't be so bad since it goes both ways?IP: Logged |

Yes, all we had was a wide weak Saturn trine Sun I think... and out of sign at that. Plus he was a psycho. So thank God nothing tied us together!

The opposition was HUGE attraction. But if it couldn't be consummated, it became major frustration and arguments. This was a very short lived relationship and I can only imagine how far we could have taken the arguments over time. He really wasn't my type as a person, just outwardly. It really was not a deep aspect, it's purely superficial for me. I like the trine for deeper connection personally. IP: Logged |

What do you consider wide in regards to orbs? Would 5 degrees for a sextile with Moon and Saturn be too wide? I know sextiles are sometimes said to be weak. But with both being parallel I think that would make it stronger.

I had an opposition with a guy s long time ago. It want that great attraction for me. Want that big of attraction, he was not my type. =)
And weird thing is he reminded me of my brother. Which is probably why I did not like him. I agree tribnes are nice. =) but I think moon/mars is the best or Venus Uranus aspects myself.IP: Logged |
