Topic: Mars Conjunct Venus- Just friends?

I was having this conversation with a friend and she and I were thinking that this aspect in synastry makes it difficult to be 'just friends'. Thoughts? I have this at 1 degree with a person of interest, I'm the mars and HE'S venus but man, I feel the electricity. We also have Pluto Square Venus and Mars/pluto opposition which adds to the thinckness, but I still feel Venus/Mars is repsponsible for the sparks.IP: Logged |

If your sexual identities line up and your sexual orientations line up it may be difficult with those aspects you listed. It's not impossible though, my best friend and I have a lot of intense sexual chemistry aspects but because we have a solid foundation of trust and respect of the friendship nothing would ever happenIP: Logged |

I think it's hard I'm the Mars person and I feel the same way you feel about the Venus person. I also have Mars trine Pluto with this person. Just friends? I really don't know. I'm not sure if declinations count in synasty but his Pluto contraparallels my Venus.IP: Logged |

There was this ice-queen who seemed to melt around me without me having done a damn thing, we used to play basketball and she used to touch me whenever she got the chance lol. I found it strange and flattering at the same time.Her Venus exactly conjuncted my Mars in Aqua(ice!! ice baby ice!!! ice) Can you be just friends? What do you think of Venus and Mars being conjunct by sign? And being conjunct by 9 degrees? I know a 9 degree orb is wide. But the guy I have this aspect with is the Venus. And he's been trying to get me to massage him for months now he knows I'm in massage school. And now that you mention this experience you had I'm guessing he just wants me to touch him. IP: Logged |

^ Yes lol, I'll bet all he wants you to do is 'touch' him, I will bet my house on that and I'm damn sure of winning it! 99% of the guys don't actually want the massage, just 'touch', that 1% is a rare breed I must say, very rare.The orb between ur Venus and his Mars might be too wide though, but since it's in the same sign the effect might still be felt. I noticed Venus has always tried oh so subtle to get my attention. Had this with a friends brother ten years ago,, it was 8 degrees apart. Met him in our karate class his dad ran. He kept looking me uomand down that night I didn't think anything of it. Then he added me on MySpace. Remember ladies ten years ago lol. And just kept trying to get my attention. He was Venus I initiated the deed but it was a mutual decision to do it. But he was the one who kept talking to me and flirting with me. I mean every time I was on MySpace messenger he's talk to me t3ll me to go see his band and stuff.
Before him I had an online friend who couldn't stop messaging me. It wss long distance debut every time I logged in he message me first and want to talk . I was also the mars.they would try to oh so subtle touch me also even brush against accidently.I did want to jump there bones but I noticed they would do strange things to get my attention if I wasn't paying attention.

^ lmao that girl used to behave in the same way and she would stand in that exact pose at times lol, sometimes I would be sitting on a chair and she would sit on the table behind it, slowly start swinging her legs and kick 'subtly' the chair I was sitting on...and then keep kicking it...'subtly'. She seemed to behave more like Mars than I behaved tbh, I just had to be around her, thats it. And I feel I had a great chemistry with her without even me being involved in any way with her( there was not even friendship, just acquintance) , all I had to do was to be near her to feel it in the air...I remember it fondly haha  . I think one can be "just friends" with this aspect. Unless there was initial attraction from the start that was left unacknowledged.Then Mars/Ven can add to the existing attraction.IP: Logged |

There might be cases where one party might not feel it as much as the other one, but when one of these two planets are hit, you can feel it right at the start. It's a primal thing, not unconscious, like the outer planets or even platonic, with Mars/Venus you will either feel it or you won't right at the start, no extra complexity, it's right there BAM!! on your face, or it's not present at all.IP: Logged |

I have this aspect with my house mate and in the composite we have moon conjunct Pluto lollll. No attraction. Just good friends and sometimes he really irks me. I also have it with someone here on LL but he feels more like a brother to me. We’re great Astro friends lol. But he was VERY attracted to me when we started chatting etc. I also have it with my brother but his Saturn is there too. The only aspect my Venus makes in my natal is conjunct my MC. Also parallel my sun/merc/jupiter. 🤷🏻♀️

YES it's very BAM! Two friends have commented that they all 'see' the spark between us and I'm all like, trying to be coy. LOL. And yes, it was instantaneous. I wonder if the WOMAN is Mars in the Mars/Venus conjunction, does she act in the “typical way” the Mars individual would usually act in this situation....experiencing significant sexual attraction?
I read somewhere while the both can feel attraction, the Mars person is almost ALWAYS the one who feels it sexually and physically, way more than the Venus person since Mars is the more aggressive and passionate one. I think Venus feels attraction for the Mars in an extremely sensual way, without much of the eroticism, while Mars feels it in an extremely sexual way, with a lot of eroticism. Can anyone substantiate this??I have a Venus conjunct Mars with a girl I know, and she’s the Mars. The aspect is between 1-2 degrees. I certainly feel a lot of attraction, but it’s not overtly sexual. I do find myself thinking about her sexually sometimes. When I do, it’s VERY sexual in nature. Except, I don’t think about her this way ALL THE TIME. Here and there. My attraction to her is super emotionally penetrating, which likely has more to do with our Moon/North Node double whammy conjunction. Well, I am the MARS in the Venus/Mars conjunction . nad female. I can tell you that I feel the attraction more as you described it as the Venus side. It's in Virgo though- perhaps that's why? I don't feel aggressive about it, just sexual. Like I said above, I would not be the one to go after him. I just wont do that.... IP: Logged |

I have 2 male friends. With one his Venus is on my Mars and moon. I see him as a brother. No attraction at all! And we have many sun and other planet compabilities aswell. He sees me as a sister and is not attracted at all.With person 2 , His Mars and Moon are on my Venus in 8th house. I don't feel anything at all! And I see him just as a friend. We do joke around and tease each other the way siblings do. I don't feel he has any sexual tension with me either. We have other good aspects as well, but nope, I feel nothing at all! I don't think he has any attraction either, I'm good at sensing stuff like that. and he is very neutral. Both are hetero guys, I know it for sure. I think I like hard aspects to my Venus. I do have Venus square Saturn and Venus square Uranus so that's probably why. My Venus is in the 8th house as well.
