So I read about this - that Sun-Mercury-Venus conjunction (so called love stellium) signifies a relationship that's extremely close, loving & forgiving... one that will help two people to weather challenges & stay by each other (unless the stellium is seriously afflicted by outer planets). IMO, since this is a love stellium, one or two hard aspects from outer planets should not be enough to bring it tumbling down, else it doesn't deserve this name.

But I want to be more certain about this love stellium interpretation, so for those who have experienced a love stellium, do you feel any difference with those you don't have a stellium with? If yes, how does it differ? If no, why not?

Note that I'm particularly referring to Sun-Mercury-Venus as the love stellium. I think with Neptune/Jupiter, it can bring the same feelings but I'm not sure about other combo. E.g. I've also experienced Sun-Mercury-Mars stellium but I don't feel that extreme "lovingness/forgiveness" unlike with Venus in the combo. But if you disagree with this, pls explain why.

EDIT: I realised that people have different interpretations of a stellium so I wanna add that my interpretation of a love stellium is all 3 planets must conjunct one another. So let's say you have Sun conjunct Mercury but not Venus and then Mercury conjunct Venus, that's not a stellium to me because there's a missing aspect between Sun & Venus.

I have experienced this combo in the composite three times

It feels nice and very relationship-y

But for me personally, things get boring and shallow too fast with sun/venus conjunction in the composite

I much prefer sun/moon conjunction. It's much deeper and nicer imo

I have had this many times. In my marriage, in the composite with the man I fell the hardest for, with my daughter, with friends, and even with people I like but don't have a strong relationship with.

I think it definitely shows affection, and you enjoy being around someone. But it has not been the end all be all for me. I almost always have Uranus opposite Chiron in composites, and even when it doesn't square the love stellium it causes issues. In some cases it has been a total loss of the relationship, and in others it has caused a restructuring. I never have regained the level of love and affection I once shared with the person after the uranus/chiron upset. Or whatever square in composite or synastry caused the issue.

I have no idea what a lasting composite looks like.

Hi Stonemoon - I have the Uranus/ Chiron opposition with someone. Is this a doomed relationship? Lol

How are things shallow and boring and is it really caused by sun/venus aspect? Also, see my edit above that all 3 planets must conjunct one another.

Ouch. That Uranus-Chiron sound painful.

I don't mean that the love stellium signifies longevity. What I'm curious about is how different it feels as compared to relationships you don't have this stellium with. Also, see my edit above that all 3 planets must conjunct one another.

In my experience it's just an sense ease.

Or, more specifically actually, a lack of friction and uncertainty. It's not something that is necessary felt then, until there's an absence of it. One of those phenomenons then.

Further, it's a base line that is not made up of friction, and it's a supportive foundation that provides certainty for both people to manage other friction on top (other aspects). It's a knowing for both that here we are and we're both in it.

In some of my significant relationships, I've also had Juno in there too.

Juno on it sounds nice. What do you think of Psyche on it?

Yes they are conjunct each other by 1 degree. New relationship so uncertain how it will play out. I have the typical Love stellium with 2 coworkers. One of them I could have seen potential feelings and the other just very friendly towards. I think this one could be felt platonically or in a loving way - happens with family members/ friends but also lovers.

Yes, I'm aware this can be found in both platonic and love relationships, just like you can also have moon-mars/mars-venus with someone and don't feel like having sex with them. I'm just curious if you feel different with this stellium or not.

It’s a really nice thing to see in the composite. It shows a harmonious relationship, where the two people have a strong foundation to work from. They get along well and it’s easy to be together. Good communication and affectionate feelings. And also shows the two people being more similar and having things in common. It’s a compatibility thing to see. And it’s very common in long-term HEALTHY relationship whether platonic or romantic. Because it shows a relationship with more substance and more real compatibility/harmony. Lots of relationships have great attraction/sex but the two people might not work that well together or not having much in common etc.
But the key is making sure that the love stellium isn’t afflicted. That’s the main part. It’s rare to have a love stellium and it’s not being square or opposite Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, Mars or Pluto. Jupiter/moon opposite or square isn’t that bad or big a deal. Sometimes Pluto can work as well. But these other planets ruins it. Mars/Neptune/Moon/Jupiter or Pluto conjunct is actually really good.
Ideally you want to see as many of the other planets trine or sextile it, and if you have the moon involved in the love stellium conjunct it that’s SUPER rare and really really powerful. That’s a once in a lifetime/soulmate connection especially again if it’s not afflicted by the things I mentioned earlier.

Venus is important, because it gives esteem to the people and worth to the relationship. And why it makes a good and important foundation.

The Moon is obviously really important too. But, once we've gone from our parents, and we have our friend circles, we move to the Venus which is a relationship based on two equals. The Venus love is more conscious than the Moon and is based in mature choice, and that choice, and our methods in securing that/those relationship/s is/are intertwined with our own self worth.

This is the theory. And while not many of us have perfect conditioning and perfect stable Moons, it still works this way in the psyche. Venus is still really important. So, the symbology of it as the base of a relationship chart is significant.

Hi LunaIscariot, what do you think of Moon trining the stellium? 2nd best to conjunction or a mild energy? I'm referring to the Composite I posted recently which we also have Pluto squaring the stellium so I'm worried. But I remember RAS said before that Pluto adds a lot of passion & depth (even for squares) so I'm inclined to believe that Pluto affliction can work like you said (if both manage the negative Pluto energies well)?

As to what can seriously dampen a love stellium... I know a couple with Mars opposing their stellium but they managed to stay together for more than 10yrs. Another couple I know have Moon in the stellium so that's really rare & powerful like you said but Pluto & Saturn are each squaring & opposing the stellium. They broke up after a few months.

So it seems that the stellium doesn't necessarily create strong feelings but rather a comfortable feeling? Even then, I'm inclined to believe that this comfortable feeling makes 2 people WANT to be together because they feel so good being in each other's company.

I've this stellium with a friend with Neptune trining it and we're really nice to each other. He would hold my hand and kiss me even though he's gay which led my friend to think that maybe he's bisexual, lol. Saturn squares the stellium and Pluto opposes it but it doesn't seem to affect our feelings and we also don't have possessiveness/obsession issues. I'm thinking perhaps because this is a friendship, not romantic love where expectations are usually higher.

In another romantic relationship where I've the stellium, I feel really loving, caring & forgiving towards him. He also told me that he really cares about me. Twice we broke up but we ended up looking for each other at the place we met because secretly in our hearts, we want to be together.

However, I've also experienced the love stellium which didn't create such an effect - that is with a friend who's heavy Aqua and extremely Uranian. We're close but not extremely close but he's very nice to me.

Is it possible that one person feels the stellium effect but not the other?

Sun, Venus and Mercury never travel too far away from each other, they often are found near each other in the Composites. Love stellium is not a biggy at all and it happens often just because of the three planets always travelling in close proximity. It does create nice, comfortable feeling because of the Sun-Venus conjunction.

btw, Sun-Venus opposition in a composite is the same as the conjunction, it only means that the far midpoint is taken, rather than the near midpoint, as you know the Composite is a midpoint chart.

Important thing to remember though is that composite doesn’t show feelings. That’s synasty. It just shows the dynamics and energy of the relationship itself. So if you have a strained (Saturn or mars squaring lots of planets) or easy/harmonious relationship etc.
The love stellium UNAFFLICTED is ideal in any relationship. Because it’s going to show a HEALTHY relationship, that is based on compatibility and harmony. It’s easy to be together and interact/get along. Doesn’t mean you’ll be attracted to each other or have romantic feelings etc. It just shows purely the dynamics/themes of the relationship. Which is what you should want in any relationship although some people have issues with relationships.
Some people don’t like healthy relationships, so they won’t think the love stellium is a big deal or even care. They’d rather some drama from the squares or lots of mars/Pluto action.
But despite what people might say about it not being a dig deal, it’s never a bad thing to see. There are no negatives to it and it’s always better to have it than not.
Synasty is feelings/attraction, the ingredients, composite is the container, the dynamics/themes of your connection/relationship. Synasty is always the most important, and a good enough synasty can override a bad composite just from sheer feelings of the two people who will stay together just because the love or attraction is so strong that even though their relationship is hard or stressful and they fight a lot etc. they will. But obviously this isn’t good, you can have an unhealthy or toxic relationship even if you love each other. So that’s why you want to ideally have a strong synastry and a decent composite. When you have strong synasty and the love stellium in the composite that’s marriage material 👍 those are the people who stay together for life/last.

I actually don't find the stellium that common. Although the planets travel close but they don't necessarily aspect one another, yet I saw people also calling those a stellium which I disagree. If you count those, then yes the stellium is very common.

Opposition is interpreted the same as conjunction I agree.

Yes, but I believe that the Composite not just shows the dynamics of a relationship, it also shows what the 2 people experience and feel in the relationship.

I think Jewel explains it well in her video:-

Jewel is good but I don’t agree with her about a few things. Her house system for one lol. She uses equal house, doesn’t use interceptions which is so ignorant because anyone who has interceptions knows just how powerful and accurate and real they are and how they affect you. Not using them in your practice is mind boggling to me, so she must not have any in her own chart or else she would understand how real they are. But every astrologer is different, you need to learn for yourself what’s accurate from your own experiences studying charts.
Composite doesn’t show feelings. The only way it’s affecting feeling is as a byproduct of how you feel about the relationship dynamics/what’s going on. Like if you’re arguing a lot with sun/mercury square mars and mars square Pluto in the composite. That’s going to affect your feelings, sure.
Depending on how the Natals connect to the composite as well plays a factor. But composite charts are NOT going to show how two people feel about each other. I stand by this 10000 percent. I don’t care if anyone doesn’t agree or understand or what other astrologers say tbh, you need to figure these things out for yourself and you do that by enough real life experience studying charts, of your own and lots of others and recognizing patterns etc. A big part of astrology is intuition as well.
