I've so many reposting to do! 😭

Anyway to Dons2angelss (in case you didn't see my reply), you're right that I'm attracted to my 4th/8th. I've been attracting Virgos/Cancers and although I'm not necessarily attracted to Caps, I find myself attracted to people with strong Saturn (e.g. Venus/Moon-Saturn), and of course, Pluto energy as well.

The guys from my last 2 relationships have the abovementioned.

Arians are nice and fun, but I've only ever wanted to be friends with them.

Touch my Mars with the right planet though... BOOM! Gimme your babies

Interesting how some people, like me, are unattracted to their 7th house sign. Time to review this stereotype.

I tend to find we’re attracted to the sign that is governing the natural house that is ruled by our rising.

So, as a cancer rising, with Virgo on the IC (4th house), I am attracted to Virgos/Virgo placements, versus Capricorn on my 7th. Sure there’s affinity with overlays to the 7th in regards to *cooperating* with the Other, but as far as attraction (compulsion) goes, I find it must reinforce our ASC.

I’ve checked this with my close friend who as a Scorpio Rising, Gemini is her 8th house. All her partners had Gemini Moons (and there’s nothing else in her chart to really explain this pattern). Let me know if this resonates with you too

@Dons2angelss
Sorry for not replying earlier.
I looked at your chart and tried many combinations with different years and Sun signs but you have so many hard aspects that it's really difficult to find a birth chart that considers it all without making the partner 10-15 years younger or older than you.
Your Dsc ruler is Jupiter in Capricorn, so I wouldn't exclude a significantly older partner in your case. Your Dsc is in Sag, the partner could be from a foreign country and with Uranus in H7 the person will most likely be divorced or you'll have an unusual relationship setting with a lot of time periods living apart.
But when a person has as many hard aspects as you, it's always better when the partners are not born far apart so they have similar natal aspects.
In your case I'd suggest someone born on April 29 1984 with a Sag Asc.
Your Asc ruler Mercury is in Aries and Dsc ruler Jupiter is in Capricorn. Someone born on April 29 with Sag Asc would have the rulers switched and that's great.
The Sun and Mars placements would be the same. Your Mars/Venus opposition would be mirrored with an Aries Venus. Your Moon in Libra is opposite Mercury, this would be mirrored by the Moon/Venus/Mercury conjunction.

@Keela Dal and @HieronymusTush post your natal, I'll have a look.

@Hikaru29, I'll take a look at your chart and will get back to you.

I think people are just misunderstanding the stereotype: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MyBbnrhYqY

If your south node is in the 7th house, you're not likely to be attracted to what's in your 7th house.

Another possibility is that some people are more attracted to(or attract) the ruler of their 7th and its placement, or what's in their 7th.

My sn is right on my descendant and that makes a lot of sense. I feel like I'm "past" that so someone heavy in sag does irritate the crap out of me in certain circumstances.

Thank you! I have dated guys much older than me in the past. Here's the synastry between me and the guy I'm seeing now. He's actually the first sag I've ever been interested in but he has sun conjunct Neptune (my sun is in the 12th) and his aries moon is in his 8th (my moon is conjunct Pluto) so I can better handle all the sagittarius energy from him. And yes, our relationship is very unconventional lol. His venus is exactly conjunct uranus and I'm guessing that's satisfying my 7h uranus. Those chiron aspects are creating a stronger bond too.

I get along with Geminis and I like this sign fine, they can be witty and funny plus lively with an intellectual side and a humanitarian side, all things I appreciate but I wouldn't say that I attract that sign like a magnet or that the guys I often get involve with are Geminis. I do tend to attract guys who have placements in the 3rd house though so there is that. My ex has sun conjunct uranus in the 3rd, my new lover has sun conjunct mars in the 3rd, before him he had venus in the 3rd, before him he had a stellium in the 3rd including venus/sun/mercury/pluto, before him he had moon conjunct mars in the 3rd and jupiter in the 3rd.

Umm so it seems I am still attracting Gemini types just by house more than by placement lol....

However, the guys that I tend to feel the most comfortable and drawn to often have a strong venus and pluto blended theme going on in addition to 3rd house stuff...

I've Gemini rising. 3rd house cusp in Leo but no planets in it.

My last 2 guys have Leo planets.

Would probably produce a similar effect, but you should be attracted to anybody conjuncting your node.

I'd also like to mention that it is not appropriate to judge synastry in a vacuum. A single aspect will not tell you everything about your relationship with people.

Creates familiarity and affinity, but I doubt this would create attraction.

I should, but I wasn't. I believe I told you about my ex-bf in another thread. His Sun conjunct my North Node. You said that the fact he was my ex proved my attraction to him, but no, it wasn't the case. I don't know why you're not convinced. I dated him only because I thought he was a nice guy. Horrible mistake. I got over him so fast when we broke up.

Like you said, we should not assume everything about about a relationship based on 1 single aspect.

Some people are attracted to familiarity, btw. Just like how some are attracted to those different from them. Attraction is complex.

LOL, I was just about to say that, and that's essentially my point. It's very unscientific to isolate a single aspect and use that to judge the entire relationship dynamic. Hell, even timing is important. Transits and progressions factor into attraction as well, from what I've read.

It makes sense for someone with either node in the 7th house not wanting to deal with anybody that puts any planets in it.

With the SN it's "i've been there done that already", and with the NN it's "i'll do that tomorrow, and hope I don't procrastinate again." However, eventually the universe does FORCE us to deal with our nodes. I'm guessing that's why you dated this guy whom you weren't interested in. The timing was right from a nodal perspective.

I don't know WTH went wrong with that relationship. He even had Moon on my Asc conjunct my Venus; Sun/Mercury on my Dsc. His Sun is the same sign as my Moon but not conjunct. Adding NN-Sun, by right he should feel right for me. But he felt totally wrong.

None of my family members even like him, lol.

Our Composite had Saturn square Moon/Venus/Mars. Neptune square Mercury/Venus/Mars.

I believe our Nodes will only feel right with the right person. It doesn't automatically make someone the right person.

You are attracted to the TRAITS of that sign, not usually the sign itself

I've noticed that I'm more attracted to those who have a strong 9th house, no matter the sign it's in. I've dated 2 men with a stellium in their own 9th houses. My 7H is ruled by sag, sag rules the 9H so that makes a lot of sense. They're representing that sag energy in a more muted way.

29 April. I've a Sag Moon btw and still I cannot stand Sag Suns. Go figure. Haha...

I know 7th house is our shadow side and I personally find Sag Sun too self-righteous and blunt. That's my shadow... traits I didn't see in myself previously but now I do. But it still doesn't mean I like it in others. Instead, I've come to consciously check myself to make sure I don't be too self-righteous & judgemental on others. I think my Moon/Neptune in 7H balance that energies somewhat. I'm more open, empathetic than judgemental... that's what others have told me.

My 7th house is Aquarius. I have my sun and saturn in my 7th house. Uranus is in my 6th house Capricorn. Every person that I have been attracted to has either had planets in their natal 11th house or they have put planets into my 11th (ruled by Aquarius) and 10th (ruled by Capricorn) houses. I tend to feel my 7th house best from my secondary houses. I find that I light up with my 5th house more than 7th or 8th. My 5th house is Sag with my Jupiter in Libra. I love Sag men that deposit planets or place things into my 9th house. I have dated one person who was overwhelmingly Libra and there was attraction but nowhere near to the level of Sag.
