Superficial? I don't think 8th house overlays are superficial the 8th house is a deep house. I have Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, and North Node in the 8th house in my natal chart. There is nothing superficial about this house.

I didn't mean that it's superficial. I can see why it's read that way, my sentence were not thought out properly.

I was surprised Pale Blue Eyes said the relationship was superficial even with the 8th house overlays. So I wanted to learn more.

@SimplyLuna

You're welcome.

It was a very intense relationship, but we never really loved each other. It was superficial in the sense of "We like the same bands and books and go to the same places, so we like each other".

It was a heavily sexual dynamic as well, which sounds amazing in theory but in reality it's really problematic; I felt objectified a lot, and instead of talking we'd 'solve' our problems using sex. Which only created more problems.
