DD,

Really? Is your time of birth accurate? How many minutes applying? 5 of my friends gave birth that aspect and 4 got married.

My birthtime is absolutely accurate (according to birtcertificate, memory of my mother and rectification - all showed the exact same degree of ASC).

my pr ASc is 6°19 Cap, my Venus is 6°07 Cap - so it actually is already separating.

EDIT:
It makes sense to me, though, as I opened up socially and romantically more than I have been for years. It might not have led into a romantic encounter or relationship, but I have changed inside. Also, I faced the perception of myself as a woman and modified it a bit.
I started doing things I really like and want to do and would enjoy (Venus rules my 5th house); one of the things was taking this trip to London and watching "Hamlet".
I also lost some weight since last year (20 kilo as per now), I got a new haircut and actually dyed my hair a shade darker than it usually is - brown. The funny thing is, it looks so natural as if it always has been my natural hair colour.

So, I indeed felt some of the Venus-ASC thing.
It will be interesting to see what is going to happen if tr Pluto is returning and exactly conjunct my Venus, espeically when Tr Sun will be there, too.

BTW Venus rules my natal 5th, 6th and 10th house and falls into my 1st house.

Ah ok. I didnt see the edited part. When SA VENUS cnjs my ASC, SA JUPITER will also trine my natal venus. I doubt i would lose weight lol. Venus rules my 8th and 1st. I thought something good could come out of it, but now i'm not so sure.

Interesting tread.

My experience from when my SA venus was conj my Natal Sun/AC. SA venus was in conj to my AC/sun when I meet my aqua man 2007. We not married each other but we have one on and off relationship. It was much feelings and so strong passion. The relationship ended when my transit pluto opp my venus/NN/mars...thanks God for that.

Popcorn is that asc and sun? Or asc-sun midpoint? I think the midpoints wouldnt be as potent as the ascendant alone.

In 2003 I moved out from home into another city to start my two years of practical teacher-training (last chapter of this education).
I met several new people then, and I remember, on the first day of meeting that teacher-in training class, I was chatting with a girl there I just had met, when suddenly this guy came to us, who was just as lost as we were, as we did not know in which class we belonged (the girl and me were both confused Sagittarians).
But the thing that got me completely confused was that he, during the whole talk, addressed me, and not the other girl, and I had been so used being a "sidekick", that I was really confused about that.
Since several of the people there, including him and me, were living really close in that town, we sort of became a circle of friends, at least for these two years. We spent much time with each other, working together, cooking together, going out (as a group) several times.
And there were times when his interest didn`t feel completely "friend-ly" alone. But he was probably just a nice guy. Still, I hadn`t felt for a long time, that someone really liked me, or even "saw" me.
As I said, I am good playing the sidekick, the best friend, the sister, the protector, the teacher, whatever.
But being in the centre of attention was very new to me.
And despite it being a really tough, emotionally drainging time work-wise (I hate being supervised and observed constantly), I do have some very fond memories socially.
Interestingly that guy`s Sun (and Eros) was conjunct my SA ASC and natal Venus by 1 degree.
And he had an Aqua Moon like me.

We were only friends, but it was great knowing him, even though we have completely lost contact.

Belgz,

I cant date a guy I dont have feelings for. Feelings have to come first for me otherwise the new romance repulses me.

I am the exact same way. It's why I am chronically single.

Thanks, DD!

You asked if there was competition. There isn't, but there is always the possibility of arguing, although we haven't in a long time.

You also asked if there were brakes being applied by the mars/saturn and the answer is yes.

There was a falling out and no talking for years, so maybe that was the pluto/mars in action. Oddly, I didn't know it at the time, but when we resumed speaking was when the square started to separate. Interesting.

The saturn/sun sounds gloomy. We don't have that in synastry, well, we do, but it's really wide.

hi all,
i just posted a topic about how to tell if a relationship will get serious not realizing there was a very relevant topic already going on just that! i've never really looked at progressed synastry or composites because it takes a little more calculation than I usually have the time to sit down and do, but I'm at a point in a relationship where I'm going a little crazy and want to know if things are going anywhere really or if I should just move on. This confusing dance has been really intense/energy draining... If anyone would be willing to share their thoughts on these aspects with me, I would really appreciate it

So I looked at his progressed chart versus mine. I do not have his exact time of birth (made an educated guess, but who knows right?), so I've only included aspects to my progressed angles... I'm sorry I'm including a lot but since I've never done this I'm not sure how to really focus/streamline my reading of this yet, I did use a 4 degree orb though and tried to focus on personal planet interactions

My PR Sun conjunct his PR Sun (3 degrees)
My PR Sun semi square his PR Moon (about 1 degree, could be a little off because of lack of time of birth)
My PR Sun conjunct his PR Neptune (0)
My PR Moon semi sextile his PR Uranus (0)
My PR Moon sextile his PR Venus (2)
My PR Moon square his PR Mars (0)
My PR Moon trine his PR NN (2)
My PR Venus semi sextile his PR Sun (4)
My PR Venus semi sextile his PR Neptune (3)
My PR Venus square his PR Pluto (3)
MY PR Venus conjunct his PR Juno (1- should I even be looking at asteroids?)
MY PR Mars semi square his PR Sun (3)
My PR Mars square his PR Moon (about 2?)
My PR Jupiter trine his PR Eros (0- again not sure if I should be looking at asteroids, but it being exact jumped out at me)
My PR Saturn conjunct his PR SUn (4)
My PR Uranus conjunct his PR Sun (0)
My PR Uranus semi square his PR Moon (1?)
My PR ASC trine his PR Venus (0)
My PR ASC square his PR Mars (0)

My PR Sun/Uranus conjunct his Natal Neptune (Sun-2, Uranus- 0)
His PR Sun/Neptune are conjunct my Natal Venus (also my Sun/Moon Midpoint) (1 for both)
His PR Eros is conjunct my Natal Moon (0)
His PR Saturn conjunct my Natal DSC (0)

The progressed composite jumps out at me a little more-
namely,
-the Sun/Moon/Mars are conjunct (again I don't know his exact time of birth but the Sun/Mars are definitely exactly conjunct and the moon could be anywhere from 0 to 3 degrees conjunct), which are all conjunct my natal Venus (also my Sun/Moon midpoint) and his Natal Neptune (his Venus/Mars midpoint) AND both our PR Sun's
-About 6 degrees away from that cluster is a Neptune/Mercury exact conjunction which is also conjunct my Natal MC (and less significantly I guess, his natal Eros)
-the Venus is also conjunct his natal Mars (exactly) and my natal Moon (2 degrees)
-Venus, Uranus, NN, and Juno are all at 16 degrees in various signs (Venus semi sextile Juno, Venus semi sextile Uranus, Venus trine NN, Uranus inconjunct NN, Uranus sextile Juno, Juno square NN), his natal Mars conjunct the PR Comp. Venus, so the Venus aspects also apply to his natal Mars
-also noticed the Jupiter is in an exact sextile to his PR Venus, and the Chiron is opposite his PR Venus
-Cupido (i've been using this lately in transits, not sure if it has the same weight in a composite progression) is in exact sextile to the Sun/Moon/Mars conjunction but also in a 1 degree square to the Saturn
-Venus is quintile Pluto (exact)
-Juno is semi square Neptune (1)

Again sorry I'm including EVERYTHING I'm noticing, but if anyone would be willing to offer their thoughts on this relationship and where it seems to be going I would appreciate it SO much. Like I said it's had a lot of peaks and valleys so far but it's been emotionally exhausting and I am really hoping for things to kind of get off the ground/become more concrete of a commitment.

I found this thread fascinating -- I just had a peek at the progressed charts of me and my Leo and his pVenus is coming conjunct with my natal ASC.

His progressed Mars/Venus/Mercury are on my ASC right now.

So, my natal ASC is at 7 Libra, and when the Leo and I met back in August, his pVenus was at 5 Libra. Now, it's at 6. It'll be exact at around August.

(If you didn't catch the other thread, we dated when we first met, we were too busy, a few misunderstandings, then I left the country and he moved to the East Coast. we were out of contact for a few months, but we've been talking since January. I'm still out of the country, but he just told me when I get back, I should move in with him)

Popcorn,

first of all I think that I didn´t really realize that he might be interested in me.

But what is more important is, that even though I liked him and was flattered by his attention, I never saw him as a "romantic prospect". I didn´t have THAT kind of feelings for him.

Diana,

"I am the exact same way. It's why I am chronically single."
I am the same.
Do you have Moon or Venus or ASC in Capricorn or aspecting Saturn?

"There was a falling out and no talking for years, so maybe that was the pluto/mars in action. Oddly, I didn't know it at the time, but when we resumed speaking was when the square started to separate. Interesting. "
That makes sense. And it seems that the separating of challenging aspects should not be underestimated.
I know of a relationship that really took off the ground when their pr Sun-natal Venus-square separated by about 1 degree.

"The saturn/sun sounds gloomy."
I didn`t want to make it sound that way.
It`s not THAT gloomy, actually, despite all the rather gloomy and dark things I mentioned, it can forge a really strong bond, and the willingness to "work" on the issues at hand.
I know that the guy I share this aspect with, will always be a part of my life, at least in the sense that he has triggered a lot of inner development in me (interesting I am Saturn in this case).
I feel very much loyalty and thankfulness towards him; especially after I have understood that a romantic relationship would never work between us.
I sometimes think Saturn forces you to face reality, makes you see things (about you and others) as they really are, and not as you wished they could be. And that can sometimes be painful.

Staborgi,

I think even progressed synastry will not tell you if a relationship will really manifest. There is still free will. The progressed synastry will probably prepare a rather fruitful ground and may even ignite the "wish" for people to come involved or reflect that there is attraction / feelings between them, but ultimately it is their choice if they will act on these feelings or how they will act on them.

BTW I haven`t looked at asteroids; they may work, too. Actually they should, if they work in natal synastry, too.
But I wanted to concentrate on the basics. Besides I once met a guy (and was even a bit interested in him), when his pr Eros was nearly exactly conjunct my pr Psyche, but nothing ever happened between us except for a short entertaining flirt.
His pr Venus was trine my uranus, but there were no other progressed aspects. So the Eros-Psyche-conjunction on its own wasn`t strong enough, or there was free will at play.

Those were "conventional" relationship-trigger aspects in your list:

y PR ASC trine his PR Venus (0)
His PR Sun/Neptune are conjunct my Natal Venus (also my Sun/Moon Midpoint) (1 for both)

So you have two very beautiful Venus-progressions (ASC-Venus and Sun-Venus); is the Sun-Venus one separating or applying?
Well, Westran stated that the Sun-Venus aspect often makes people want to "settle" with each other and makes it easy to come to an agreement on top of the present affectionate attraction. It is not as wildly passionate as Venus-Mars, but it is very sweet and loving.

Venus-Neptune progressions can feel like a bit of magic, like you are indeed soulmates. Very compassionate. Actually it can make feel two people being soulmates and being in heaven with each other, without even having spent too much time together!

Others I noted:

My PR Sun conjunct his PR Neptune (0)
I guess this would emphasise this magical athmosphere of compassion and a soulmatey-feeling.
It could be very spiritual or very elusive.

"y PR Moon square his PR Mars (0)"
My PR Mars square his PR Moon (about 2?)

This could lead to some hurt feelings, born out of too passionate reactions to each other.
Since this is a DW, there could be anger and hurt-feelings issues on both sides.
Luckily pr Moon is quickly moving and will separate soon again.

"My PR Uranus conjunct his PR Sun (0)"
Very exciting, but unpredictable. The fascination may be great, but it could feel like an on-and-off thing.

"y PR ASC square his PR Mars (0)"
Ouch, more conflicts. Have you been arguing a lot recently?

"His PR Saturn conjunct my Natal DSC (0)"
I think this is an "either-or" connection. Either you will become very committed to each other or you will break up.
Saturn may not be as emotional as Pluto, but he is just as radical.

You do have beautiful Venus-aspects though, and the pr Moon-squares will separate more quickly than the Venus-ones, if the Venus-Sun one is applying at least.
so maybe now is the darkest hour before dawn for you?

Venus de Milo,

given there are not "spoil-sports" aspects, the Venus-ASC progressions sounds just lovely.
As a matter of fact I think, it would be felt as an affectionate attraction even if there were harsh aspects.

Hi DD,
thanks so much for taking the time to consider the aspects I put up. I really appreciate your thoughtful answers and time. To answer your question, it looks like his PR Sun/Neptune over my natal Venus is separating at this point. Do you think that means things don't have as good a chance of moving forward? My PR ASC trine his PR Venus seems to be applying though...

As per everything else you mentioned, totally spot on. The soul matey feeling is major, but it's also very hard to latch on too...slippery, I think that's whats driving me mad at this point, I just want something I can hold onto! And this was apparent from the get-go, did not have to spend too much time together at all. Even now, maybe because of all that Neptune energy, I can't say we really know each other all that well (in terms of personality I mean, although I feel like I've sensed a lot of things about his personality that turned out to be spot on), its mostly an intuitive thing. Also there have been some hurt feelings, I can't speak for him but like you said my reaction to him is really passionate, sometimes I feel like I'm getting ahead of myself/being too emotional/expecting too much and that always has led to hurt feelings thus far.

It's funny because a lot of those aspects that you picked up on are echoed in our synastry, so I guess they're unavoidable. Aside from all that Neptune action you picked up on I also forgot to mention his PR Venus exactly conjunct my PR Neptune. We also have that aspect in our synastry (exact by the second, me=venus, him=neptune) as well as our Neptune's falling on each other's Sun/Moon midpoints (which carries on into the composite). Amazing that it's in every aspect of our comparisons. The mutual Moon/Mars squares are also interesting because we have a Moon conjunct Mars in our synastry (me=moon, him=mars), as well as the Sun conjunct Uranus (me=sun, him=uranus and I also didn't mention that his PR Sun/Neptune on my natal Venus is also on my natal Uranus, so again lots of that Uranian energy echoed all around), and Venus trine ASC (me=ASC, him=Venus).

Anyway, I do hope this is the darkest hour before the dawn like you suggested...we work together, I am his subordinate though and know that as long as we work in the same office it will be difficult (I am leaving in 2 months). I think we both feel pretty strongly about each other but its been very difficult seeing each other on a regular basis and not having the freedom to go with our feelings. Maybe that's what that PR ASC square his PR Mars refers to? We don't so much argue as there is a seeming inherent conflict in our relationship right now.

Anyway, thank you again for taking the time to go through my giant list! I really appreciate it both in terms of this particular case and also in your sharing your knowledge for me to learn from Best wishes!

EDIT: I also overlooked another aspect- My PR Pluto square his PR and Natal Moon...this is also repeated in our synastry both ways

DD, we have a lot of Saturn in our natal synastry, and a lot of great sexual synastry, which makes tremendous sense due to the IRL chemistry. His Mars is square my Venus, his Sun is opposed my Mars and his Moon sextiles my Mars... I feel like I'm forgetting something?

Other than 3 of his personal planets sitting on my ASC, there isn't that much going on in the progressed synastry, especially since I'm unsure of his ASC and exact moon position. His natal Moon is somewhere between 28 Scorpio and 10 of Sag

I met someone on january 9 this year, funny enough at that moment;

My progressed Moon in applying conjunction of 0,08* to his progressed Sun.

Also;
My progressed Venus opp. his natal Sun (separating 0'18*)

Still together and although it seems a very short time, FOR ME (considered myself chronically single - Saturn exactly square ascendant natally) it's the very first time in 17/18 years that I see a guy frequently (at least every week) for months, AND that it's pretty serious.
It can last a few weeks more, a few months or maybe even more than a year.
I never got the prove that my longing for the excitement of losing someone is a temporary thing, so I guess living on the border-line of breakups is part of my nature. It's hard to deal with that.

Staborgi,

you´re welcome.

"To answer your question, it looks like his PR Sun/Neptune over my natal Venus is separating at this point. Do you think that means things don't have as good a chance of moving forward?"
Well, once progressions separate, they get less and less intense, until they fade away. So you´ve left the peak behind, BUT if you have a chance of moving forward depends on many things, your own decisions and also maybe other progressed aspects that are just building.
I was also wondering if parallels/ contraparallels might play a role in progressed synastry.

" The soul matey feeling is major, but it's also very hard to latch on too...slippery, I think that's whats driving me mad at this point, I just want something I can hold onto!"
LOL That is true Neptunian frustrations. Neptune IS slippery and transcendental, and not so much grounded on earth as we sometimes would like to. But there is not other planet that can give you a similiar feeling of "floating". At least that is how I experience it. I think, the fact that it is so easy for me to fall into meditation and "float" is due to the fact that Neptune conjuncts my ASC natally. I like this side of it actually.

"Even now, maybe because of all that Neptune energy, I can't say we really know each other all that well (in terms of personality I mean, although I feel like I've sensed a lot of things about his personality that turned out to be spot on), its mostly an intuitive thing."
Pure neptunian.
From a logical point of view you know that you do not know that much about someone, and yet you "know" them from a very intuitive level.

"It's funny because a lot of those aspects that you picked up on are echoed in our synastry, so I guess they're unavoidable."
This happens often with the progressions of the outer planets, as they move so slowly.
I wondered if that might be the reason we experience outer-planet aspects so strongly, because they are present in natal as well as progression?
Also, I think that once they come into progressed aspect, too, they will become very strongly.

It`s funny, in one of my own synastries I have this heavy emphasis on Venus-Neptune.
My Neptune is conjunct his Venus at 3 degrees.
His neptune is exactly semisextile my Venus (only a minor aspect I know).

My pr Neptune has JUST come into a 2 degree conjunction to his Venus.
His pr and natal Neptune are quintile my pr Venus.

"PR Venus exactly conjunct my PR Neptune. We also have that aspect in our synastry (exact by the second, me=venus, him=neptune)"
So you know, what I am talking about.

"Maybe that's what that PR ASC square his PR Mars refers to?"
Yes, that is very well possible, especially if his Mars rules his 6th or 10th house or either Pr ASC or Pr Mars falls into these houses. That would definitely tie this aspect to the work-place. Another way to tie it to a working environment would be, if this aspect was having aspects to planets in 6th or 10th house or the rulers.

ah geez DD, thank goodness you know the Neptune frustrations I'm talking about! Sometimes talking to people about those particular things...you can't help but coming off as a little crazy /un-relateable to. It's funny, I peaked in on the Parallels topic and it actually really illuminated something for me...I've always felt like I've attracted these Neptunian relationships and could never totally understand why. Also I love them no matter how frustrating they can be sometimes.I have Neptune at my Midheaven and not too far from my Venus/Ura conjunction (11 degrees) but that does didn't seem to necessarily explain my total love of Neptune and everything it comes with...then I look at my declinations and SEE- Sun parallel Neptune (Saturn too which makes sense although not sure what to think of the combo) AND Venus parallel Neptune...plus Venus parallel Neptune DW with THAT MAN. hahaha great!

Hallo
I’ve been getting into progressions a whole lot this last year.
Was curious if anyone has experience with Progressed Venus squaring a partner’s natal Saturn, and then also P Venus squaring a partner’s natal Pluto?

When these progressions could happen during the relationship and what the effect is like? Is it like the synastry? I *have* seen the square to Saturn visible when a relationship was in hiatus… anyone else see that before?

Thanks!
