Based on that one person, I disagree with your conclusion. I was actually very in love with this person. I was not turned off by his looks at all.

Someone’s Venus is square my ascendant by 4 degrees, and I don’t think he’s turned off my by looks either.

Oh it's exactly like that to a T! I know where you're coming from lol, it's this really annoying shy sort of energy where they tend to pussyfoot around. And the staring!! It's like a soup pot left on simmer, it's very intense to the point of it being honestly awkward. Both of these men make me feel fidgety and on edge for that reason. Maybe that's us as the ascendant person, since they're the venus. One is a Libra rising (!) And another is a sag rising (!). Both are cancer suns loll

I think it could work out similarly for Libra Rising and Cancer Venus. A Libra Rising is social and can be very charming, but it’s also more intellectual. Cancer Venus might get jealous or feels that there not getting the emotional affection that they crave. Maybe that’s where the staring comes from, the introverted Cancer Venus is trying to get your attention.

It's interesting, I have exactly same aspects but with Juno: his Juno exactly square my Asc, my Juno & Lilith on his Dsc. Was wondering actually if this was good or bad. We also have Venus on MC mutually.

These are sweet aspects! I've had Mars square Asc with the same guys too, and I think a few other ones. It's a fun thing to have but they drive me crazy. It's a sexual aspect for sure but I think a conjunction would be too overbearing (I'm the asc person again) lol. I like a nice mix of "harsher" aspects, keeps things more spicy
