thanks mirage! I’ve been really wanting to know what to expected with Rahu transiting my 1st house and eventually Mars (Ardra)

Currently going through the Rahu-Saturn Dashaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and then Mercury Antardasha—a nodal crossing seems timely considering the Gemini rising

My getting into Vedic studying has been very very slow , compared to western. Not really able to put proper time and intense concentration into it, that it really requires.

I'm getting a "familiarity" with words, terms. Discovering how the various charts are actually charts-on-charts! Each house, planet seems to break into it's own side-chart.

It's interesting. Definitely adds to the understanding of Western astrology. There are some things in Vedic that are SOOO specific, and very accurate. The heavy Vedic Gemini and Virgo parts of my chart are slurping. Feast, yes!!

(no mentor is a real handicap)

my chart-------------

I'll be coming up on my half-nodal returns {aka inverse nodal return} midway into 2020. Rahu and Ketu .. get to meet and find fulfillment of sorts, as they 'join' their other halfs in the transit chart!!

The severed Head (mouth) {Rahu} finds its Body (disgestive system?) {ketu}.
munch munch.

Yesterday, I finally figured out why I was having such trouble trying to read the charts.
I had been looking at two different systems of calculated chart data, while thinking they were 'the same' and trying to make sense of data positions!!!

Hey!!! No wonder I 'couldn't GET it'! haha
Once I separated the two systems in my head, I got a breakthrough. *yay*

Now that the NODES are close to my Inverse Nodal Return,
I've been digging down harder.

Puts a smile on my face, at the indicators OF wanting to dig deeper into researching it.

I have Mercury Gemini in Mrigahsiri conjunct Ketu.
Transiting Rahu AND transiting Mercury have been lingering over my placements!!

tRahu on natal Ketu-Merc in Mrig
tKetu on natal Rahu Sagittarius in Mula

--

* System: With Jagannatha Hora software
Found "Rahu" is my AtmatyaKaraka
(that's IF doing the system of '8')
rather than '7' system, for which
AmK Saturn is the AmatyaKaraka.

* System: With VaultofHeavens calculator
Mercury is Atmakaraka
Jupiter is AmatyaKaraka ?

- - Note to self --
AK - Atmakaraka = The Soul {use highest degree number}
AmK - AmatyaKaraka = The Soul's Helper {use 2nd highest degree number}

I have a handful of different Vedic youtubers I've been trying to learn from.

-- Beautiful --
In her teaching vids, one woman in particular has been chanting protective prayers at times since the Coronavirus-19 started and took-hold since January 2020.
{K.S.}

I have a different Belief System, and, am very touched by her prayers. As she chanted, I was able to spiritually join her, in my soul, energetically. I understand the qualities of the various Deities mentioned. She has a clear connection and devotion to God {through Hindu Belief System}.
I can identify 'The Same' within.

Here's a song {from my own belief system} that fits Mrigashira Nakshatra energies.

Mrigashira The Deer, The Searcher,
and The {Spiritual} Searcher

(music) As The 'Deer' (worship song, lyrics) [3:04] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZv3jzOTE70

Found an interesting musical play (operatic drama), the other day.
It's an enactment of a Hindu mythological story.

From Vedic astrology studies,
I recognized the 'names' of characters (deities)
Astrology is a part of this drama.
The characters talk/sing about the planets.

Here's the very short promo--
(trailer)
Natarajar Pathu promo
(Sridevi Nrithyalaya - Bharathanatyam Dance)
[1:44] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IudxqWweOc

Beautiful presentation (Full)

(music/drama) Nataraja Pathu
Tamil hymns on Nataraja {with English translation}
(Sridevi Nrithyalaya, January 27, 2021)
[21:41] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zSwsa8KTRM

Youtube notes Quoted--

This hymn is a dialogue that the devotee engages in with the Lord. Where all is fair in this inexplicable relationship of the Lord and the devotee, the latter sometimes cries, sometimes chides, at times introspects and at other times, even commands, seeking answers to the questionable transciences and striving to become one with the Lord who is ever in Trance.

In the first stanza,
the devotee addresses Nataraja as the omniscient one and intellectually internalizes His formless omnipresence.

The second stanza
is an interesting contradiction as well as a reiteration to the first, where the devotee describes His form and His dance,
and also affirms that the movement of the Universe, is but His dance.

In the third stanza,
the devotee begins the inward journey, introspecting and questioning the Lord about the ephemeral happenings in the world.

The next stanza
is proof of the devotee's progress in the journey,
for it is a clear account of all that s/he doesn't desire or seek.

The following fifth stanza
witnesses a devotee who takes liberty to mock the Lord of His indifference.

In the sixth stanza,
the devotee goes one step closer to the Lord and holds Him responsible for all the misdeeds of the former.

In the process of this journey,
the following stanza
sees maturity in the devotee who seems to have realized the pain of the endless cycle of births and deaths.

To be relieved of the incessant circle of life,
in the eighth stanza,
the devotee pleads the Lord to forgive her/him for all the wrong doings, however grave or silly it may be.

The ninth stanza
is the voice of a devotee who gradually gathers strength
and develops a detachment towards
relationships, wealth, fame and power.
. .
The Lord chooses the devotee
and He alone lays down the path for the devotee unto Him.
In that very path, there could be phases of introspection,
doubtfulness, realization, conviction,
and certainly, hopelessness.

The last stanza
is an open cry to the Lord from a devotee who feels hopeless,
helpless and cheated by the Lord's indifference.
. .
Having known that He is the one
who pervades the Universe as the five elements,
the devotee now truly realizes and experiences His omnipresence,
which is metaphorically depicted as
the five forms of the Lord (in His Panchabhootha Kshetras)
as
Ekambreshwara (Earth),
Jambukeshwara (Water),
Arunchaleswara (Fire),
Srikālahasthiswara (Wind)
and Nataraja (Ether).
. .
Now, what other way does the devotee have, but to surrender?
It is when the devotee completely surrenders,
that the Lord appears.

We have interpreted this hymn as
an inward journey of the Self:
a journey unto Him.
