I am in deep mourning because the beautiful bookstore job I've had for three years is now at an end. The store is closing, as I found out last night, and my heart is just breaking. This was my safe place, to go to when other places weren't so safe. I had the best manager in the world, one who understood my emotional difficulties and would on one hand challenge me, but on the other hand, let me leave if I needed. I coudln't ask for a better boss. I am so scared to have to find a new job. AFter three years, I got good at what I was doing. Now, even if it's at a different bookstore, I'll have to learn something new. I am so scared, I just had to vent someplace. I also know this may be a sign from the Fates that it IS time for me to move on. For as I am trying to become more independent from my mother (long story), maybe I had to become more independent from my "mother", the boss at work. You know? Anyway, I don't know if this was deserving of its own topic, but I just had to write. My love, LMB IP: Logged |

LMB, I formulated my response as I read your words, but YIVY had already taken the proverbial words out of my mouth! You are entering a new "chapter" in your Life (pun intended), and as scared as you are, a whole new world is about to open up for you. It is sort of like a young child scared of going to school for the first time or a new grade. It will work out for the best. I promise! Complacency is a problem for many people (including my S-elf). We all get comfortable with things and fear change, but I assure you that it will be a wonderful experience. Hold on! Enjoy the ride! We Love you and are here for you. You can start new Topics anytime! ------------------ Consider the circle, measure it please, All its three hundred and sixty degrees. Wasn't that fun, and haven't you found You can do it again, the other way 'round? Now that we know how many degrees, Must be accounted for nice as you please Here come astrologers, what do they say? I'm sorry to hear about that LMB. I had a bad dream last night that I lost my job, and this morning I almost quit. You will get a new opportunity, and it will be better. You will make it through this, and learn something wonderful in the process about yourself, I guarantee! This reminds me of the Major Arcana card in the Tarot called "The Tower", or "The Falling Tower". It's usually something in our lives that changes very suddenly, and we mourn over it, but it opens up a beautiful new vista that we would have never seen if the Tower was still in the way blocking it. You have worked hard at your job, for a long time, and you will be rewarded. Nothing in this universe goes unnoticed IP: Logged |

Dear LMBI think it really sucks that you've lost your job. With a moon in Taurus, I know what it's like when your security is threatened. It bites! No amount of advice can truly make the situation any better, it can only help you deal with the change. Trust the Universe, as that is one of the lessons we all need to learn! LOve IP: Logged |

Boy do I know how you feel! I lost 2 jobs in 8 months! The bright side is that I know what I'm attempting to do now is probably better suited to me. I'll send some positive energy your way, and do realize that these things ALWAYS have a reason (even if you don't necessarily like the reason at the time). IP: Logged |

Thanks pixirose and everyone for the support. I'm quite determined to get a job in the new age community here. There are various spirituality bookstores and such and I think I've applied to nearly all of them. Thanks for all the positive energy! LMB IP: Logged |

Oh yeah, sorry, didn't mean to leave you guys hanging. Well, the interview for Healing Earth went well. He was very nice and the job sounded perfect. Unfortunately I just had this gut instinct that I wasn't going to get it. No reason in particular and it's not even me being pessamistic. Even though *I* know I'm special and unique, I don't think he got that sense. In other words, I don't think I wow'd him. But... it would be nice if I were wrong... Tomorrow I'm going to call and leave a message saying that I am very interested in the job and curious as to whether he has made a decision... Thanks for asking! Made my heart smile. LMB IP: Logged |
