Kids do say funny things in their innocence.
My son watch that old TV show at his grandma's house when he was about 4 1/2 years old, "WKRP In Cincinnati".
Well one of the characters was called "Venus Flytrap". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WKRP_in_Cincinnati
In school the kindergarten teacher asked what TV shows the kids liked and what character.
My son proudly proclaimed;
I think Penis Fly Trap is funny!

He misheard the actual name and thought it was funny because as many little boys have discovered, zippers on jeans are called a "fly" and ouch! At times one can get their penis caught in the zipper like a "trap".
Hence his amusement at what he thought was a funny name for the character.

~sigh~ Stupid teacher called me in about it.

It kinda reminds me of when I was about 4 years old.
I heard an adult woman sing this little ditty whilst flirting with her guy;
"Poontang, that's my name! Ask me again, I'll tell ya the same!"
Well in my innocence I sang it later whilst playing and my mother slapped me really hard and washed my mouth out with soap!
I did not know until many years later why she had become so angry at me.
quote:
poontang definition
noun
1. sexual intercourse with a woman
2. a woman or women collectively regarded only as a sexual partner: a disparaging or dismissive term

There was a little boy outside in my yard yesterday and my windows were open and I could hear him yelling: "I found one! I found another one!!!" "I'm winning!" "Omg, there's another one!" "Over there!" shriek, shriek! I'm thinking: what the heck's going on? So, I looked outside and he and a little girl were running around the yard picking little flowers! Some sort of flower hunting game they were playing. So cute.

My ten year old asked me this recently:

"When your trying to think of something, your trying to REMEMBER it, right Mom?"

"YEP"

"Then how come your memories aren't called your "REMEMORIES?"

??????????????????? was my reply.

That was sweet!

Now for a recent happening!
A friend of ours has a 2 year old adorable daughter.
She has discovered zippers lately and finds them sooooo much fun to zip and unzip.
She is very proud of her zipping and unzipping skills!
They had a male guest the other day, and the little girl was having fun playing with his jacket zipper and before anyone could stop her....

She unzipped his fly!
Oh my the embarrassment from the guest, and her parents!

A kid I know now always refers to me as "little Missy!" as if he's some kind of old man...?

Could be LEXX. I'm pretty sure he means it as in "Miss", like little miss, rather than short for Melissa though.

Well if you were in a past life, for example, his niece or a little girl he knew....
He could refer to you as "Little Missy".

"Little Miss/Little Missy", or just plain "Miss/Missy" was a common affectionate term in times past.

No matter why he does it...it is sweet!

(boy i take care of) On our way to see Where The Wild Things Are yesterday (ready to arrive early, mind you) :

little boy:
"You don't need to take a shower before we go. Youre pretty even without one."

later in the car:
"Hurry, hurry, we're going to be late!"

me:
"No, we'll be a little early actually!"

him:
"No, we're late. Look (points at my clock), it's already 10:63!"

ummm

Then I'm singing: "We're late! We're late! For a very important date!"

and he chimes in: "And if we have our first kiss there, we won't tell anyone!!"

....um excuse me? *both start laughing*

He's definately a Libra
