I have read Ask and It Is Given By Jerry and Esther Hick, so I have an idea of the concept of the law of attraction. My problem with it is I know how to use it but I dont know how to use it. I have soo much creative energy and I use it well when I use the law of attraction(LOA)but I think that there is something I am missing because I find that many of the things I ask for, have not manifested. I also don't know to much about the time factor. How long does it take for certain things to manifest? and I also find that the things that you pay the least attention to become reality, how does that factor into the LOA or is this another universal law? Help is so needed. I am trying to manifest $4 million so that I can get a house, a car for myself, my brother and fix my BF's car, pay for college for myself and send family members to college, give money to family members in need, start a restaurant, and give some of the $4 million to organizations that need it. Any input is greatly appreciated! thank you guys!------------------

Thanks LEXX! What I have read in the book seems pretty simple to me that it makes sense that the LOA should work. The activities in this book reminds me of elementary school where you had so much opportunities to use your creativity. They have activities you can do like make a script for the type of life you would want to live, or to create a box full of images of the things that you want. But what is it that you don't like about them? I know that they channel some type of entity but I don't know too much about channeling.------------------

The theory of it is common sense but the practice can be hard if you have that little voice in your head that tells you it's impossible. and I have that voice. also you have to have unwavering faith that yours manifestations will be reality. and that is something I am not to sure I have. ------------------

I watched a few videos of the Hicks, and found them very rude to folks.  I did not see caring but an urgency to forcefully shove their ideas at people who paid to hear them, not a caring true enthusiasm but a cult like frenzied zealot ranting. I also feel they are simply just more shysters jumping on the new age guru bandwagon. You said:

I tend to agree, up to a point.
You see, I DO have that sense!  I am still waiting for the rest to manifest. Many situations and things have become reality for me! When I set up manifesting thoughts, and it does not happen, then I think the only reason is that it is not yet time for it
to manifest. To me if I think it, then it should be so! So I wait. The only nagging voice I get is "why is it taking so long?"
So I continue to wait because my summons is already out there and will come true when the time is right.
I hope that made sense.

I totally get what your saying about your personal experiences with manifesting. I only saw one of their videos. Whatever it is that possesses her, has a very matter of fact way of talking to people. and idk why she seems so rushed. it could be because of the time limit. But I agree that she does seem to move and act in a hurried manner. I would appreciate a more relaxed atmosphere where I dont feel like I need to hurry up with my questions. Also, I don't quite get why they wear all black like that. Wouldn't purple be a better color for their purpose? But I do like the message that they basically state about the LOA. ------------------

It wasn't only the spastic way she hopped about(not enthused acting and sure, but nutters and manic frightened crazed evangelizing type of desperation, or phoniness), it was her attitude which to me was not positive and upbeat, but manic, rude, pushy, arrogant, rude, and phony. She sensed to be someone in it for the money and all.
She reminded me too much of the Evangelizing phony, played by Swoozie Kurtz in

I wasn't paying attention to her clothing but her body language and irritating voice. As to wearing black, I do not care, and wear black 99% of the time. In fact if she had been all bright and flashy, I would have found her even more a fake and show off. quote:

Miathat might mean that it wasnt the right book for you. i started with the secret but that didnt helped me finding my answers within. so i went to the game of life by florence scovel - available online free book. then the best one for me is Eckart Tolle.all of them really. and i started to go here too;:wonderful people there http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/intention-manifestation/

detachment to outcome is important.
but i am really good at visualizations too, so maybe that is part of it. i am not really sure.

isn't one of the rules not to ask for currency? for some reason i thought it was. like maybe if you manifested the THING you want instead of the means to purchase those things, it would manifest faster. as in, college, the car, the house, instead of the currency to get those things. that is what i understand anyway.IP: Logged |

I've heard somewhere that the "key element" that's missing is work. LOA teaches that you have to visualize and believe you're going to get what you want, but you do still have to make a plan towards it. And then you have to act on that plan. The visualization and believing is just supposed to make the workload easier to manage. I think it does become easier to feel all the right emotions when you know you're working towards your goal. I like the Hicks very much and The law of attraction works wether you want it or not. That means that many times when you wish to have more money, you think of the lack of it and your current broke situation instead of imagining yourself having the money that you want, so you keep on attracting being broke, as that is what you think about. The difficult part is to get yourself in a state that you already had it! Linda Goodman also wrote about TLOA in Star Signs, when she advised you to go and buy a new lamp for the house that you do not yet have, but that you should be so sure about having soon. You got to have certainty and good faith. keep your thoughts on the things that you want, not what you don't want, and as Wayne Dwyer said, who also is a big fan of the Hicks " What you really, really want you get, but what you really, really don't want you get as well"IP: Logged |

Also MiaMammy advice for you..Your wish has to be realistic for you. Maybe 4 million is hard to imagine getting, maybe you can't really see that happening for yourself either if you want it. So start with manifesting a smaller amount, lets say 1000, and when you succeed with that, it will bring you power and strength to manifest a bigger amount. I mean after all Rome wasn't build in a day, but with some rocks at a time. Good Luck IP: Logged |
