I posted this on Linda's life and just noticed that Lexx suggested it to also be posted here... Just wondered if anybody else noticed any similarities to Linda's descriptions in Sun Signs to their own children...?I love the way Linda describes children in Sun Signs to a tee! I found a link online for Sun Signs and reading the description for Saggy children. I have a little 10 yr old Saggy boy and her description fits him so well it's creepy. Like the part at the start where she talks about little Saggy boys needing a little "blankie" like Linus in Peanuts where he'd rather have "you". Ever since my son was a little itty bitty baby he has had his "rag" that he carts around everywhere. Yes, that's carts as in he still does it at 10 yrs old. He brings it with him in the car to drop him off at school then leaves it in the car. I had better bring it with me when I come in from work at night or he won't sleep that night without it.. too cute. Anyway, just wondering how you all feel about Linda's descriptions in Sun Signs in relationship to your kids or kids you may know. Here's the link... http://cyberspacei.com/englishwiz/library/names/zodiac/contents.htm IP: Logged |

I am still trying to find my current copy of Sun Signs. I have worn out a few down through the years and at the moment my thousands of books are mostly packed away until certain house repairs/renovations can be done.Thank you for posting this topic here too , as it concerns children and this is a good forum for that topic! sorry... don't generally check out LoL so, as per usual, i am delayed in finding the posts that pique my interestmy step-daughter is a little Leo all the way... exactly as Sun Signs describes - we even had to have a "serious" talk about how bossing friends around is not a way to keep them very lovable, sunny disposition though... linda being an aries was great on aries especially. but the most exact description i have found of my daughter was in suzanne whites "NEW chinese astrology" where she describes her own sister, an aries boar (like my daughter ) as a "geyser-like personality" ... i do love my nutshells!!IP: Logged |

Hee Hee, yeah. I just re-read the whole book a couple weeks ago when I specifically went to look up 'Taurus Boss.'I remember when I was pregnant with my son, and was given the due date of Halloween.. I was truly worried about her description of a Scorpio child. She says something about going out and buying a sturdy playpen... for YOURSELF, not the child! LOL. AND she said that the child was like a snake charmer and you, the parent were kinda like the snake. In other words, they can get whatever they want out of you, and that HAS BEEN TOTALLY TRUE!! The Leo one is also true for my youngest. It's her world and I'm just living IN it. God love her though, so sweet. The Pisces description is so-so with my oldest. Some things fit, but my daughter is VERY much a combo of her asc and moon (Cancer/Aries), but in general, it's a very good book! IP: Logged |

It was an okay-ish description for me, I've never been a typical Cancer anyway because of my Scorpio moon and Scorpio ascendent. Didn't fit my sis at all, lol, I haven't looked at her chart but you would think that she's an Aries, not Taurus.IP: Logged |

Linda's advice to a Virgo child's parents is dead on, especially when she warns them against teasing the young Virgo who is beginning to notice the opposite sex. When I was in elementary school, a boy in my class came over to my house. I was soooo embarassed because he just stood on the porch grinning confidently and said "I told you I would come." I fussed at him for coming over uninvited and slammed the door in his face(which I now regret). My dad laughed about it for weeks and my mom lectured me many times for "hurting that poor boy's feelings." That's the first and last time a guy's been brave enough to come to my house!IP: Logged |

My son's an aquarius, but he is more like his gemini asc right now - he never sits still, he is always talking, asking questions, humming, any kind of noise, and his brain NEVER stops. I can see some aqua traits in him, but I guess he's only young yet!IP: Logged |

cool i googled that book along with my chinese/ western sun sign. TAURUS/RAT - THE PROTECTIVE LEADER "Taureans born in Rat years benefit from a happy accident. Rats are often hyper. The Taurus influence mitigates the Rat's piano-wire nervousness. And… to the lumbering Taurus personality, Rats adds spice, pizzazz and a hefty pinch of calculation. The Taurus/Rat is a combination of William Shakespeare and the Alexander the Great: tough, bright, with nerves of steel and natural superiority. In most life situations, their reputation for strength of purpose precedes them so (obviously) one is not surprised to discover this person's relentless, insistent ability to seduce and conquer." Which site did you find this information at sand? I am Scorpio/Rooster You're an individual who's difficult to live with for yourself as well as for others. Everything in you is brought to the extreme, be it the good or the bad, the desirable or the abominable. Nothing happens to you as to others. You can be either very aggressive and disquieting, or very shy and pathetic. Very anxious and very depressive. Sadism and masochism dominate your comportment by turns. On the other hand, you must beware of your frequent states of depression and of your suicidal penchants. In the professional and social domain, you aspire to power under a form of another. You're pitiless in business. You encounter numerous disputes or hostilities in your career because, if you can't dominate, you try to destroy. In love, you're overwhelmed by the violence of your sexual instincts and the force of your passions. Your reasoning is totally inept here. With your need to possess the beloved one entirely, your love affairs are exclusive; they are furthermore tormented and complicated because of your exacerbated jealousy. The Scorpio/Rooster is drawn between the murky world of sexuality and the formidable potentialities of libido.

Scorpio/Roosters are idealists and, because of the crossing of Scorpio's determination with the Rooster's resilience, will suffer less from setbacks than many other people. The Scorpio/Rooster's story is invariably one of climbing precipitous summits followed by full fanny slides back down. Rollercoaster IP: Logged |
