edit:
wish cancelled.
That is OK though.
I guess one reason wishes make me uncomfortable in some ways;
is that one's life changes and what seemed like a good thing can days, weeks, months, years, etc.,
may not be a good thing in the long run.

i would take over a local non profit that robs threir clients and treats them badly and expand it into a shelter and meal program where folks are treated with dignity and get a chance to re cover from whatever has them captive!
There would be work programs that involved retaking and caring for green spaces and wilderness areas-churches or do gooders could "adopt a guy or gal" non-violent felons could get a chance at living a valued life and elderly and handicapped folks could get teamed up with helpers who also need a chance.
ANY volunteers caught taking any donations would be made an example of-but volunteers who also needed assistance would get it.
i would also start a WPA or CCC program and put folks to work realy helping our country!
I would of course set up trusts for my family and those who are like my family and for random folks caught doing acts of kindness. i would find places where folks could really express love for the Earth-abolish fake "environmental positive" things that use rare Earth and other means that rape the Earth.
i would have a Tesla National Holiday an scholarships!!!
i would orgonite the whole Earth, limit the ampount of cattle, aboloish hamburger and fast food joints that contribute to the decimation of rain forests, make club owners "party til they puke" until they become responsible for their patrons! Oh, was that becoming a millionaire or becoming Queen of everything? hahaha how about making drunk drivers pull rickshaws a few months? raise all roads so wildlife does not become road kill, stop the mowing of wildflowers, end the concept of urban lawns and help wild and natural plants and beings grow back, legalize cannabis, get non violent marijuana (not cartel) folks out of prisons, establish a sex offender colony away from everyone but each other...
Actually i would hire an excellent financial advisor and attorney-get a mini winnie, a full dresser harley, go to whatever university i wished to (my kids, too), establish a gathering of nations pow wow in the mid west or wherever i resided at the time...
i would sleep in freshh flower petals always...hahaha

Otherwise, I wouldn't want to be rich. I know, what planet I'm from?? I don't want to have more money than I need, I think it changes people (or it might change *me*). I want the millions to go to those who need them, I'm okay-ish.

Suddenly,

You are a millionaire and the government takes at least 40%. From what you have left, you put three quarters of that back into your business so it will grow, expand and create more jobs. The rest goes to rent on a small 2 bedroom/1 bath and bills because you can't afford to actually buy a house in Los Angeles. Then you go on a nice family vacation to Portland for a week and come home and go back to work

The end.

What 40%? In NYC, you'll find 65% gone. That is before the standard real estate taxes and sales taxes.

A million bucks doesn't even get you past first base. The average *two bedroom* apartment in NYC with a miserable 800 sq. feet in a good neighborhood costs about $900K. After real estate agency fees and moving expenses, plus paying the lawyer, you owe a couple hundred thousand lol

Yeah, I think I was being conservative with 40% gone.

We live in Los Angeles. Our *rent* is almost $3000 per month. Actually buying a house here seems like a headache. We've looked. The property taxes are ridiculous and in our area you are lucky to get a small small small 2 bed/1 bath house for less than a million dollars.
