When I would see any group, I would be fascinated by the background singers.
They seemed to infuse magic into the music.It is a dream come true that I can do this in a professional way. I have not gone out on a professional job as I am not ready. You would be surprised how much work goes into simple backgrounds.
It looks effortless, as if they just did it at the spur of the moment but each background vocal is well thought out and well practiced. I will let you know when I do my first job. My teacher and I will go out with two guitars and two voices. He will do the leads as he is really good and has been in a band all his life. He has an entry into all the bars and clubs in my area and says he can get a gig anytime he says the word. He plays piano with the local symphony so knows all sorts of people. I will be really nervous but I am ready to take the next step toward maturity and personal growth and this will be it. ------------------

Great Ami Anne! Now, "POST THAT youtube URL"! ... Hurray!!!!  Do you have any tapings of 'rehearsals'? Sometimes they can serve as 'audition' --- like YTA's talented sons-- His urls for pianist-composer- violinist son, Mitchell!

Have you thought of practicing at Nursing Homes? They look for entertainers. They're usually very easy to please. I remember some REALLY lovely dear seniors. Very happy and encouraging. They appreciate talent! IP: Logged |
