Hi sf, I figured Carousel Bill's birthdate from page 264 Cantos 10 of the original edition of Gooberz. A few pages before that, she says he is a Gemini. She says it was October when he lay down to never get up again. So, then I went to the and there, at the next to the last entry, was the William Snyder who died on Oct, 9, 1970 and was born on June 19, 1927. I searched all 1377 Bill Snyders in the index and that is the only one that could have been him and it also states he died in Virginia and that he got his orignial SS# in West Virginia, so it seems like that is the one. And also, on the same page of the Cantos, she later mentions November only in reference as it being later, and she is now writing in November, about her experience in October. Later, in Cantos 13, page 348, she is in Laguna Beach on November 11, several weeks after his death. Anyhow, that is how I sleuthed out the data I came up with. Linda gave lots of clues, it is just figuring them out, like a great puzzle. Donna IP: Logged |

Donna awesome work.I wish that I was more computer literate and had the cash to download some of those programs. I am aware thatcertain records require no fee or real computer know how, but I have been back on this trek for only a few days again now. Years ago, I only had GOOBERZ to go by and some references were quite vague as I recall. I admire your talent though(even though dates and such should not be considered important)and find research like this intriging. Do you by any chance know Sally's birthdate or Melissa Anne's? I went to the s.s.death index last night but didn't have too much luck but I didn't stick with it forlong. Right now, I am using only Web Tv for all this anyway. IP: Logged |

Pisces Moon, oh dear, looks like I widened the page with my long link!!!That site is free, I haven't spent a penny on any downloads, but, I do use a computer and I think it is easier than WebTV, but I don't know for sure, since I have never seen or used a WebTV. I have some birthdates. Melissa Anne B. 3-7-1950 D. 2-12-1951 John Anthony B. 2-12-1953 D. 2-15-1953 Sam Goodman B. 4-21-1907 D. 9-18-1983 (2nd husband, only 3 years younger than her father) Her father, Robert Stratton Kemery B. 8-16-1904 D. 7-18-1998 I don't have Sally's or the other children's birthdata. I only know Sally was listed as dying on 12-10-1973, of which we all know Linda never believed. Donna IP: Logged |

Donna, do you find it odd or coincidental that Sam Goodman was three years younger than her father, while Bob Brewer's birthday was three days away from her dad? (And they had the same name as well).I have not been able to find Sally on the social security death index ... I often wonder what her children are doing now. She wrote about them all so intimately that it's hard not to feel like you *know* them (of course we don't). IP: Logged |

Hi all. I just found this page about Linda, who has given me enormous challenges and gifts of inside. I am not sure how to do, to write or answer at this site, but I have a question: when did she die? I´ve been talking so much about her lately (about her writing) to my close friends and was surprised that she had left... But I live in Sweden, maybe thats why? Peacefull greetings*IP: Logged |

Welcome, Aqwoman! Linda passed on October 11, 1995. That was just from memory, though, so I may have the exact date wrong. ------------------ "It is never too late to become what you might have been." George Eliot IP: Logged |

A nice warm WELCOME to the site, Aqwoman.... I was just as surprised as you were. And terribly upset. It just totally blew me away Randall...it was October 21, 1995. Now I wonder why you said '11'. Do you suppose you are next on the '11''s stalker list ------------------

Randall (or Donna) - If you want to just cut from below and replace the long link from Donna's message above, it should fix the problem that's making the page too wide. Love, Greg ----------------------- rootsweb.com

Thank you all for replies and welcomings! I realize that Linda has been what we call gone all the time since I started reading her books ( I did in -96)... Strange. But of course the closeness and connectedness I've felt (to/with her)is just another beautiful cosmic "proof" about the One we all make. Together, in this eternal now. I've enjoyed reading here and ther on the site, and I might not be a frequent writer, but I'll stay connected. Flow on... Light & Peace IP: Logged |

I am so terribly sad to find out why I have not seen any knew writeings by Linda. I feel like I have been negligent about something, for just now finding out about her passing. Her books have kept her alive in my mind, all these years, I almost wish I hadn't discovered this fact!!!!But, as I have, I hope to keep in touch with people who knew her and are carrying on her thoughts and feelings. Enjoyed my visit to this site...be back soon.IP: Logged |

When I was in Cripple Creek last September, I spoke with a lovely Libra woman who owns a store there. She showed me Linda's two houses in town, and also said that her sister was great friends with Linda. Her sister owned a restaurant that she showed me, and said that Linda spent much time in that place, writing, chatting with her friend the owner, the both of them smoking all the while. Linda was a smoker up until she died, in a nursing home in Colorado Springs. The woman told me that Linda often gave bags of clothes to her sister, the restaurant owner, who then gave them to her. She said that when I come back to Cripple Creek, as she suspects I will, she might give me an article of Linda's clothing. When the Time is Right, I thought...Rewind to Fall 1995, and enter ex bond trader Crystal Bush, a Cancer with a nose for investments. She came in and basically got a deathbed signing from Linda for the rights to her name upon her death. Linda trusted Crystal, yet also gave many of her personal notes to another woman, who can go unnamed here, which several of you know. Then Ms. Bush, the Martha Stewart of the metaphyscial world, fashioning herself as a female Chopra, found a diligent Virgo ex-Microsoft exec, a California mountain dweller named Greg, and together they set out to open lindagoodman.net. Why not lindagoodman.com? Someone already took the name and stills holds it to this day (Kelli Fox, owner of astrology.com). So Crystal got her daughter Kelly Anne, and Greg got his wife Firesong, and off they set, and it was okay for a while, early on, when I was there, and Seamistress, and LMB and others. Yet Randall's site is better, more open minded, with less conscious censoring from him or his moderators. Greg's consciousvolution site was basically his little personal site back then, only a couple pages, and Crystal never had an online presence, and apart from chatting occasionally with the site's visitors, she was just the CEO and CFO of Linda Goodman Enterprises (that company name always galled me). Virgo Greg was, of course, the webslave (please, don't ever think that anyone who uses the term "webmaster" to describe themselves is truly anything more than a web slave! I'll be the first to admit it!). In my opinion, Mary Alice Goodman, seven years ago this month, made a choice, and it is appropriate that we discuss it now, as 7 is a magical number, in Astrology too, since it's one quarter of Saturn's journey through the heavens, and thus an important period to measure, among other things. Yet dear Aries Linda had Mercury Rx at birth, so maybe on her deathbed, she didn't hear Crystal so good, or misread something, or just jumped and said okay. Linda's kids wouldn't touch it, so Crystal walked away with Linda's good name in her old Morgan Stanley briefcase. I used to think that Crystal's attainment of the rights to Linda's name was wholly illegal, since it could have been made under duress, as many deathbed signings are, and come to be found to be illegal later when litigated in the courts. Yet I am not so sure now that Linda would mind, since it led to another great site, this fabulous place. Many of us have been able to meet and share ideas at that site and now this one, just because of Linda's agreement with Crystal. If Greg had not booted Randall, he might never had started this site. So we should be grateful for what happened on that fateful day in the nursing home in Colorado Springs, which I drove by on route to Cripple Creek... So Crystal prolly recently gave up and gave in to Greg's request to wholly own the other LG site, which now you can only get to off his little personal site. Obviously, rather than care about the perpetuation of Linda's good name and rep, and to continue running the original site, and since Crystal's money stopped flowing, it's just a footnote at Greg's site, as Randall pointed out. Greg kicked several people off the original site, long before Auriel and Randall even showed up there, an then he kicked Randall off. It was my private communicado with Greg and Crystal, after having lunch with Auriel, among other things, that she would be a great moderator. So they began paying her, something like 20 grand a year, more than even popular astrologer Kim Rogers Gallagher was getting from doing three daily columns at astronet.com at the time. Now she gets paid in love...sigh...the only way to get paid, I always say Also, it was I that told Donna Cunningham about Linda liking to keep everyone guessing about her actual birthtime. I helped Donna in the early days of the Astrologers' Memorial, and my Linda page was the original Linda bio there, until Donna got a chance to do her own. The link to the Social Security site to doublecheck her birthdate also reached Donna the same way. So there has always been a Knowflakian presence working behind the scenes... It was told to me by the woman who Crystal muscled out of LGE, the Aries woman who still has several of Linda's notes and personal writings and was good friends with Linda. She lives around the corner from me now... And that is one man's chronicle of the journey of Linda Goodman's legacy...here is another: http://lovestarz.com/maryalice.html Blessed Be, Carlo IP: Logged |
