I was thinking about this while i was looking up some gnosis stuff and i wanted to check this guy out again..ROLLAN MCLEARY. turns out he believes that Jesus was gay. So i would think that he debunking of Kathleens book "MIGHT" have been more personal than conservative. Still, I think his book would be a interesting read too!Rollan McCleary http://www.rollanmccleary.com/signs_for_a_messiah.html http://www.rollanmccleary.com/ that last name McCleary..irish...wonder if he knew her at one time...maybe they had some heated discussion....

I finished it! I don't know what to say besides WOW! This book has come closest to my personal theories regarding Mary Magdalene and all things related. Not that I'm as devoted a researcher as Mrs. McGowan but it just read "in synch" so often. Very moving and powerful and yet it didn't (like some other books) just regurgitate ideas by other people. Like, the big thrill isn't in some cooked up suspense plot but in actually feeling these amazing figures come to life before your eyes, in your soul, and being able to really experience what happened yourself. It's hard to explain, I guess. The only other material that has ever opened me up to that kind of experience regarding biblical times (though not in precisely the same way for obvious reasons) is the Bible itself although there are many informative and enlightening ... texts ... out there. I'd like to get into some of the ideas in the book but then I don't want to ruin it for people. I can hardly wait for the next book. I know you've been patient with me, YFIS, and so thank you! I kept wondering what you were thinking during certain sections of the book, lol. So do tell, at long last, please. IP: Logged |
