I was at a seminar this weekend and a comment was made by the woman holding it: that although in Kaballah a number system called gematria is used; today's numerology is not of the mystical but the occult. She then said words are in the same category as numerology.(lexigramming)
Looking at the definitions I can see that.

So was Linda more of an occultist or a Mystic?

Webster's defin:
Mystical:
a: having a spiritual meaning or reality that is neither apparent to the senses nor obvious to the intelligence
b : involving or having the nature of an individual's direct subjective communion with God or ultimate reality

Occult:
matters regarded as involving the action or influence of supernatural or supernormal powers or some secret knowledge of them

I'd say both!

She was more a Mystic in my opinion.

My thoughts...

Linda was the most "read" human on both metaphysical and occult studies... and she
wrote about both in her books...

she savored and lived to be informed and to inform... (and I"m so grateful for her open mindedness and her devotion to teach the souls on this planet!)

just my thoughts

I wonder what Linda considered herself?

Good question. I bet she'd think both

Or maybe neither?

Linda liked to take "secret" knowledge and break it down to its simplest form to make it available to the masses. So, I'm not sure what she would have called herself.

I bet she would not have placed a label on who she was. She was - is. That is all. Astrology ran through her veins. It was part of her genetic, chemical makeup. She would be more along the lines saying this is what I do, this is what I am about, this is who I am, if a label is what you need to define me then let your mind will use the words as such. But then again, maybe not! I did not know her in human form. I only know of her through her work and what I have learned and read. So my guess is only that and nothing more. When you get down to it, it really doesn't matter. She was an inspiration in so many ways and that is how I look at her.
Happy New Year Randall. May the year be full of peace, joy and love

Yeah, Linda didn't like labels. She didn't even want to be remembered as an astrologer.

I am not surprised about Linda not wanting to be labeled. I got that sense. Is that why she did not want to be remembered as an astrologer? What did she want to be remembered as/for?

She was ahead of her time in that field and she was brilliant regarding her approach to astrology. Among the numerous other aspects of her work. She was beyond an astrologer.

And, of course, a writer. She succeeded. If you look at her descriptions, she told a story to illustrate her points.

Linda was big on taking Rosicrucian secrets and explaining them in layman's terms.

I don't know why, but reading through
this string..made me realize..
something I hadn't really paid
attention to..

This past week..
I have received
2 red roses
and 1 pink

my daughter brought me
the 2 red ones..
she picked them out
front of where we live..
she said, they asked her
to give them to me! hehe
they are just perfect
in a vase..

and then the Lady next
door, bought me a Lighter..
with a pink rose on it..
she said, instantly
when she saw it
she thought of me
and had to buy it for me...

hmmmm

there is a theme in my posts
today..

the Rose and the Cross
the Circle and Cross

Flowering Foundation
through Energy

Time to Bloom!
