with Meili around, i find i cannot play. the child is very playful...and so is reminded of her duties every now and then. i peeked in here. with much hesitation. too early in the day. but am here now... Meili, that is a most wonderful, wonderful poem! it makes the heart sing. speak. let me listen. the heart delights in what you share. thank you. you may not always see me reply in print but hear my answers in the stillness. i was actually going to add your poems here. some other time i will. "The East could do with a little spontaneity. July 20 to August 10, 21 days. I suppose we could call that spontaneous?" why do i have the feeling, dear Friend of the Soul, that you will allow the grapes no rest 'til you've squeezed out their wine-juices? "In the West, there is Lead and Gold side by side. It is simply a matter of pointing out that which is valuable and that which is worthless. In the East, there is Pyrite and Gold side by side, and a mere glance will not serve to distinguish the worth of each." the mind took pleasure in the verity of this elucidation as it did with all the rest. east and west have always been married...if the definition of marriage is the 'seeking of balance'. opposites attract...is a natural law. as they meet, sparks fly. for what one lacks, the other possesses. each revels in the other's uniqueness and individuality yet each bristles if pushed to change, even as each is capable of making allowances for small aggravations. such is the character of the marriage between east and west. yet, in the parlance of that-which-is-obvious-if-both-pairs-of-eyes-could-only-see, east and west already have a true marriage. a marriage defined as the 'sharing of completeness' rather than a seeking for completeness. in this sense, one does not marry another to complete oneself. one completes oneself. then meets the complete other. then the two complete wholes marry...and logically, still make a whole. Peace, Meili. IP: Logged |

"You will always see my reply in print since the silent communion of the Heart is closed to all but the Friends." i have just read your "Comments" over at Ra's 'universal codes'. i now see what you mean. and yes, the heart did sense Thee. i'll know where to reach you. thank you. am in need of rest now. to re-learn. for the Work. tis been long overdue. my thanks to lindaland. i'll be visiting just this string sometime in the future. um, on second thoughts, perhaps share a smile or two on one or two others...depends on the imp that somehow never fails to ungag and untie itself sometimes. much love to all.
