*ducking*
Dude, man that's crazy...what does that mean?
Seriously, what do you think that means?
I was laughing because of the "dude" and "man" and the fact that I said that it was crazy, but didn't really have a "valid" reason for thinking that it was crazy. But it does seem interesting, at the least.

P.S.(much later)
I do not mean to infringe on the rights of the thread to remain true to the topic or to make light of what is here. That was not my intent with the laughing smilie, so hopefully no one is offended or put out; I was laughing at my own reaction.

i've just got here, yet I am really impressed by the dearth of acrimony and myopic, peremptory dismissals. I like to take some time and peruse this exorbitant bounty of shimmering soul waterstreams before responding to anyone's posts. The gentelness and humility I've encountered here is really (hmm How do i not say something bland llike "refreshing?..")maybe something like a pleasantly perfumed zephyr
ablating the stagnant air..or something like that.. Could someone suggest some online sources for the writings of Gandi?

*whew* There's alot here for me to digest.
Much of this resonates with with me. Things that I've intuitively known for a long time, just never had so many words to put it into.

As a dirt worshipping pagan myself, I do disagree with a few things, as far as my thoughts go on the matter of divinity. Or it could be that I don't totally understand what was said. At any rate, I speak of these things with the greatest respect for all the knowflakes who have posted here and in gentle loving tones.
These are just some of my thoughts..as a wise man once said, I prefer to have thoughts instead of beliefs..as the former are much easier to change than the latter... anyway,
I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the idea of the one, all-encompassing creator so I prefer to ponder and meditate and give thanks to more specific aspects of the divine. It's easier for me to feel my connection to the divine when I can thrust my hands in some moist, fertile and fragrant soil and focus on that particular aspect of Goddess or gaze upon the splendor of the full moon and feel it as the light of Her gaze upon me. I may worship the trees but that doesn't mean I've lost sight of their context within the greater Oneness of All.

I just don't want folks to be so hard on the polytheists.

i hope that by posting i dont seem totally disrespectful and stupid, although i probably am.

i have never believed in "Christianity", yet i always believed in something HIGHER...i hated the thought of religion too much to ever dwell into what i truly believe/d. And after reading a bit of these posts my mind is going at a million miles an hour and i cant remember all the important things i wanted to post.

i come from a family that has not been religious at all. my dad's a Catholic, although he doesnt believe in it, he was just baptised it, my grandma is a firm believer. my mother was brought up in a totally non religious home but says that me and my brother are Orthodox? i dont know what that is...

im sorry if this just seems like a LOT of ramble and not much thought...i just had to post, but im still so shaken i dont quite now what to write.

im very skeptical, about everything, and i always hated the fact that religion seemed to restrict peoples lives to much, when i figure/d that the point of being ALIVE was to live, i believe in moral restrictions but some things seem to extreme...too controlling.

i have to say i dont beleive in god, as i dont think hes done much for me, well at least thats what i thought before i read some of these things...now im just VERY confused...even though i always though of Christians as "poor souls" and felt sorry for them as i always believed they believed in something not quite right.

im going to stop rambling now, and im very sorry if i seemed totally off in space or disrespectful as i dont know any of you, nor did i know of you until just now.

anyway, thankyou for opening my eyes...

I'm not christian, but I believe Jesus is an incarnation of a Divine Aspect, an Avatar, so, in a sense, He's God. because his ego was totally disolved in the pure conciousness and joy of God.

Also, we can do the same...but it's just my opinion...

Is it any wonder that you two always bring a smile to my face? My fellow seekers..comrades along the Path.

And you juni...my light through the dark times....

You are both loved very deeply. Began regaining the high road again yesterday.

Thanks for hanging with me while I slept in the ditch.

P.S. You got it right the first time Tink..the old large mouth bass hunter in me couldn't resist.

What can I say daf?

Happy you are out of the ditch. Also happy you were in it, Pilgrim. Sometimes the quickest way to Heaven is right through Hell.
