Hi daf

Isn't that harsh from God? How could God talk like that?
___________________________________________
Continue preaching your lies and you will burn away to nothing at the center of the Earth, come the end of these empty days.
___________________________________________

I did hear that the center of the earth is hell--fire...

Why does he have to judge doesn't he already know us truly in our hearts?

_____________________________________________
Woe to you brow beaters who threaten torture by eternal fire for those who do not heed your words and adopt your beliefs. You, who claim to know of the Lord. No father torments his children that loves them, least of all our Father, God the Creator, who loves us most of all. His Truth is assured and His discipline is fair, for He knows those things which we cannot, and His wisdom loves us, truly. Continue preaching your lies and you will burn away to nothing at the center of the Earth, come the end of these empty days.
_____________________________________________

He says for those threatening damnation, no father torments, and if you do, I will burn you away! Isn't this a contradiction?

So I assume you met John, and does that mean he is an immortal?

You say John's words are not literal but it certainly seems so, how could you discount his exact words? If he doesn't mean it this way he should say it how he means. He is definitely implying a fire burning hell!

I would think since this message is about God's judgements that John would have learnt some compassion he seems to be acting the very way he's telling us not to act. Although he is just passing over the message he got from God.
Why not just say this in a loving caring manner like: follow your heart and don't betray yourself, if you betray yourself any longer "yourself" has it's limits it will fall. Go out in love and save the ones you love and raise them and teach them. Be true to yourself and have an open mind. CARE

By that same logic, if one rises above it all, shouldn't we all? What if one falls, and the other doesn't? How shall we resolve this dilemma? If our desire is the destruction of the human race, we let one's defeat become the defeat of us all. We let one man's evil deed become the justification for our own. We were indifferent, because the world is a cold, cruel place. That's how you proceed if you desire the destruction of the human race.

If, instead, it is your heart's desire that humanity evolve, succeed and find true happiness, then like the Creator has done, you return those that fall to the elements from which they came, to be recycled and given another chance to rise. Again, and again, each that falls shall return to the Alpha until they cease to fall. Until they cease to play into the hands of those that desire the destruction of humanity. In this way, in the end, we will ALL rise together. And so yes, we are all one, and we all WILL evolve together. It's just a matter of deciding when you're ready to begin.

As our beloved JWHop believes, "A world in which we treat one another as family, with love and respect is unrealistic."

Only for so long as you believe it is. The hate, the indifference and the selfishness begin with you. The love, concern and respect begin with you. The nightmare ends when you do your part, not before.

The dream begins or ends with you.

Hey Juni, look who's back! I've been thinking about her almost all day.

Playful and yet oddly enlightening.

I'd ask for more but I don't suppose we would get it.

Hey Daf,

"We" in the sense that you used it in your original post did not suggest to me an orientation of unity.

HIya SH thanks for noticing my quote.

Falafel? Nope. I'd be humus *grins*.

Actually it is a quote I heard long ago from an old friend of mine who used to say it.It kinda stuck when I began to question religion in itself.I would like to think it doesn't refer to me personally but some days it does indeed seems that shoe does fit.

Darn. Now you have made me hungry.LOL!

hello

I found this very interesting.

However the part regarding the idea behind Easter eggs. I honestly dont think that Easter eggs got included into the Easter holiday because of Mithras. I am a pagan, and by studying the European Pagan culture and the transitioning from Pagan religions to Christianity...the Easter egg was used by pagans to celebrate the fertility of spring, since most life springs from some sort of egg whether inside or outside the mothers body. The pagans, when converted to Christianity, incorporated easter eggs and other pagan symbols into christian holidays so they could celebrate holidays of both religions at the same time, so that their old religion wouldnt be entirely forgotten, since a lot of pagans didnt convert to Christianity by choice.

I can see however revelations reffering to this material-based culture that seems to be the norm nowdays. However, the new-age movement is becoming popular which promotes a spiritual way of life as opposed to a material-based lifestyle. How do you think that fits in with revelations?
