Youngest MotherClaim: The youngest mother on record was a five-year-old Peruvian girl. Status: True. http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/medina.asp Check that out. I thought it was another interesting example of the illusion of time. (Remember in Star Signs Linda writing about kids born with a condition that causes them to age "too soon" although this is not the same thing she was referring to?) Anyway, I don't know what happened to this little girl and I'm sorry if she sufferred for it but I think she has a message to bring tfor us in this life.
------------------ "To learn is to live, to study is to grow, and growth is the measurement of life. The mind must be taught to think, the heart to feel, and the hands to labor. When these have been educated to their highest point, then is the time to offer them to the service of their fellowman, not before." - Manly P. Hall IP: Logged |

I have always been very skeptical about that story, having met too many children who at age 8 to 13 looked like 4 to 7 year olds and were small, and or thin, weighing betwixt 30 and 45 pounds, but some of the girls were having periods as young as 7-8, whilst looking 4 to 6 or so. I suspect the girl may not have been 5 but perhaps 7 rr 8. Many people had no recorded birth date in those days. It is hard to prove such things that happened over 60 years ago. It may or may not be true. Was she young? Definitely! But that young?
