Let's talk about some of our goals we want to achieve or some of the fun stuff we can do along the way to 500 yrs.

I want to live in another country at some point. I seem rooted to where I am now, but I'm hoping to arouse my sense of adventure at some point.

Oh!!!Different loves!!Falling in love time after time.

Really after that my mind kind of goes blank, I like things the way they are right now. My husband, my kids, my house, etc

I've got to get a more adventurous mind set. Living to 500 requires it, I believe, because things just won't stay the same.

So help light the fire under me!

while you are enjoying your family you can be planning your trip...or are they going to be around for 500 years too?? are they interested in this? there are so many things you could be learning in the meantime too...

personally i would like to become great on several musical instruments, visit all kinds of places, BUT the world is going to change so much in 500 years there are a lot of unknowns involved///

Right now, no my family thinks I'm a bit eccentric that way. We are Christians...

I'm having difficulty getting excited about it though, I mean you'd think if I really believed I'd be very thrilled.

But I'm more blah, having a hard time thinking of myself still same old person, but a completely different life, family, sadness of their loss,....

I want to be brilliant at one martial art.
Learn to play the violin.
Live one month in EVERY country on Earth.
Learn to ride a horse superbly.
Dance like a dream.

Oh and learn to do the splits.
I SO admire people who can do the splits!
I've always been as stiff as a board since I was a child.
I looked on You tube for techniques.
"Just slide outwards and pop down" they say.
"er....NO!
I appear to have a metal bar in my thighs.
Not sliding down anytime soon!

You'll live forever but only want one month in each country?

You gotta think big!! Or did you mean after that you would settle to your favorite place?

Do you think you'd ever get bored? Or maybe after being around people who die off at 80, and you're still looking 25, hanging with these"young" people that at some point you'd think they were boring with their limited experience?

no i would want to visit each country for a few years - maybe a lifetime? that would help with the loss factor, perhaps, new land, new life...but i do like to have some roots, so i would opt for a homebase for some time...

No I love being rootless. I would happily move every six months, so a month in each country would suit me just fine.
And they change countries every 5 mins anyway.
I would just keep riding round, playing my violin, fending off any predators with my superb martial arts skills and jumping into the splits for a finale!!

Ooh, what a great idea, Good Girl! I think everyone who is interested in physical immortality could benefit from thinking long (very long) term.

I have always had sooo many things I want to learn and master. I thought I couldn't possibly have the time to learn all of them in one life, but when I read about immortality in Star Signs, I regained hope.
All of these things I want to learn to do very skillfully, so it would take a long time to master.

1. I want to learn to play at least five different musical instruments.

2. I want to learn to compose my own music.

3. I want to be able to paint/draw/sketch/design anything, on demand.

4. I want to learn to dance in any style I can think of.

5. I want to study intricate scientific details on a very wide variety of subjects.

6. I want to be a healer.

7. I want to be a writer.

8. I want to continue my research of astrology, metaphysics, and all things spiritual.

Obviously my mind is all over the place. Lol. I'm planning to start with number 6 and be a nurse. I want to study natural medicine, too, but that will come later. And number 8 will be something I'll always be doing on the side as a hobby.
So I have a good number of different professions I can take on with my different identities.

I hope that helps to fuel your enthusiasm, Good Girl! There is so much that can be done on this earth. Just try imagining what you want to do when your kids grow up and start their own lives and you have more time to yourself. Maybe when they see that you're still young and thriving at 89, they'll be convinced. And if they don't.. they'll still have another chance in the next incarnation.

Much love,
Pumpkin

Hi Pumpkin,

Other's enthusiasim is always catchy for me, thanks!

Thinking outside the box, (my usual intrests) is a bit of a challenge for me. But I think it is soooo important to staying focused on the goal of longevity.

I think I will sit down tomarrow and make a list, taking the time to think it through.

Hmmm, good girl... you make a very good point about the not-so-great parts of being immortal. Must confess, my opinions on being immortal have mostly been formed by Tuck Everlasting... I think I would be lonely something awful...

The thing about I want to be this or that, is that if you have all the time in the world, these goals might seem less interesting. You might just keep putting everything off till tomorrow. The race against the clock is very significant in our world.

well you could spend twenty years being a cook, twenty a doctor, twenty a musician, and twenty a muse for a start. i would definitely want to travel the world and to other dimensions...having raised a family not sure i would want to do that again as much as i love them!

and with enough time i could probably come to grips with a lot of subjects i haven't currently got patience for.

but mostly i would like to develop my psyhic and manifesting powers, experience everything possible!, speak twenty languages, and make lots of music!! there are just soooo many things that interest me that i never "have time" for!

Linda mentions Jose Silva, the founder of Mind Control. He was into doing things psychically in a big way, but when he needed to remember a number he looked it up in the telephone directory. Don't know what that proves, the laws of nature are supreme I suppose!

i think it only proves that jose silva was a practical man who knew he could find the number in a phone book, so didn't have to conjure it out of thin air. i remember linda deploring the name of the silva school, warning people to stay away from it - though the mind control was talking about one controlling one's own mind she found it scary...and was trying to teach us that you don't really need all those processes and "gimmicks" to create your reality...just belief, which is what the processes and gimmicks are about, creating belief.

The immortals from Tuck Everlasting didn't have the freedom to move through time, space, and dimensions; physically project whatever illusionary age they wanted to be, or change body Temples at will. I don't blame them for thinking immortality sucks. They're basically prisoners on earth. That is not true immortality.
