There are so many things I want to do. for instance I want to build my own computer, but I think I won't get round to it before I'm ninety, so I want to live at least that long. What task have you got earmarked for your ninetieth birthday?

I want to travel on the Orient Express

Have a 60 year old lover or two

Learn to Tango

Get drunk and stoned every night (neither of which I do now,,,,but who cares when ye are 90)!!

Play the Cello in public and be the oldest female cello player in the world

Dye my hair shocking pink

and lots more...

I love your list too art.....yeah to the violet hair...I love purple, talking of which..hope you enjoy this poem. This is me in a few years time..

Warning

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandlas, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

at that age i will be with child -- again, as i'll have mastered the cell-regeneration thing and will be physically younger than i am now.

I've noticed that the only thing that seems to dull the memory of the pain of childbirth in women is to have another child. It makes sense to do this as your body is now prepared and honed for having children and it would be a waste of this to forego having a few more. I think a few motherly types should have lots of children for the whole population and leave other women free to do other things. Thanks all for your replies.

The Soviet Union" does not exist".
Its a waste of womb time and trouble to have only one child and not everyone can have ten.
Sue G, I have always loved that poem.

i like the idea of womb time.

mine adored its first occupant. this is where
magic originates. after our first occupant,
the rush of life-love sang a song....

How do you like it, how do you like it
How do you like it, how do you like it
How do you like it, how do you like your love

Baby you know my love for you is real
Take me where you want to
Then my heart you steal

babies are god's manifestation of love.

oh my goodness, will you really have enough time for such folly?

i certainly wish your life to be more worthwhile than having to resort to such a desperately low quest for entertainment.

really, wishing you a much better quality life than that.

Oh but I'll be ninety you know, you have to make allowances for age. Then when you're almost legless, I'll slip a cigarette between your lips

Hrm, nintey. That'll be a fun age.

I hope to shock people if they ever actually find out how old I am. I will probably be planning my mysterious "death/disappearance" around then. Can't live as the same person for too long you know. I might be thinking about who I want to be for my next life, and where I want to live.

:will finish later:

Yes, do come back, and have a look at my Rare Game, down the page. You might want to contribute to that. I take it you have been here before under another name?

You will probably have to fake your death a few years before 90. Unless you look the part, that is.

...ever think that people who are so adverse to death - that when "they" do eventually die - might not realize they are dead....

They'd be like a traumatized ghost-spirit stuck in a fantasy-land (dimension) thinking they are still alive?

Kind of sad.

What's this life for?

You know, although I see no point in having children now, I can see the point of a Universal Protagonist having children at an age when it should be impossible. That would be to expand the power of the individual. But hard on the kids perhaps

We are not averse to death. It serves its function.
