I was trying really hard to come to an answer for you.

I must have popped up the reply box twenty times.

It's just so hard to say something, I mean words don't always convey.

I wanted to say things like the most strongly passionate people have the most to give in the Search. If you have used it in the wrong direction in the past, well we all do sometimes, right?

It just sounds so trite sometimes, because it is something you have to feel inside yourself.

The Truth is that you are a Miracle. When someone says Namaste' to you, they are honoring the Spark within your Heart that is God.

We all have it, it's there. No matter how you feel right now, or what you have done, it has it's purpose, whether you realize it or not.

You are given the choice, always; for the direction you go.

One way to start is to be Thankful.

If you are making a mental list of all that you are Blessed with, that helps to turn the tide in the right direction.

Deepseablues - You tried to save someone. That is beautiful. You are beautiful. Even if it didn't work and the other person was not fair. Even if i don't have the details, i think your purpose was noble, and it should strenthen you. Perhaps people made you feel ugly, worthless, etc. You may have had the very same body temple you have right now, but feel beautiful because you were loved and appreciated. There are people in all kind of molds and shapes who are doing just fine. if someone makes someone else feel he \ she is ugly, that is ugly. They say Kleopatra was ugly, and still she is also a symbol of beauty. You should appreciate yourself for what you are, for what you truly are. Your efforts to love others and yourself, to fit into the world, they show how much inner strenth and sensitivity you posses, and that is beautiful. It is all a matter of perception. It won't do if you'll beat yourself over what you've done in a past life, or over your faults. Everyone has done mistakes, otherwise we wouldn't have been here. Everyone has had incarnations which were harder than others. Know that the bigger the challenge, the greater is the achievment and development. It is harder to love oneself when you didn't get that love from those who should have given it to you. It makes you struggle even harder to find love within, to give it either to someone else or to yourself. If someone hasn't given you love, he \ she was giving you the negative example, so you should not follow that and assume you do not deserve to be loved. You say you want to help the world and mankind. This ambition is admirable even more in someone who were hurt so much. It shows you have nobility in you.

Everyone has worth, beauty and good qualities in them. You are not the exception. Life is made to bring out these qualities out from within our souls.

I think that the more you will apply your abilities, the more you will appreciate yourself. Because what you will do will prove to you the truth about yourself. You have a hard path because you are a strong soul, not just because of what you've done. Don't give up on love. It is better loving and getting hurt than shutting yourself from the world and not feeling. Even a living hell is better than feeling nothing, this is at least how i see it. You say you want to save the world? Go ahead! Do it! You have all the force of the angel who, after falling, can rise up and restore his \ her wings. Life can be hard, just remember never to give up.

EllynIvx- thank you for everything you have said, I did appreciate your concise, simple and understanding response in the other thread, as well as athenegoddess, even if I don't understand how to get there, I did not feel either of you were attacking me, and Ami Anne as well although Ami and I do have widely differing beliefs I do believe she understands how I feel. From any of your posts I have read you seem to be a very tolerant, caring and accepting soul and I really appreciate it.

Ayelet- thank you again for all your kind and reassuring words- they have touched my soul, I have already read and re-read your posts and will be saving them for when I need some kind words of reassurance to remind me. I don't feel strong but I don't think I will totally give up because I know that committing suicide will continue the reincarnation cycle I wish to end so despite having thought about it and wanting to die for many many years I don't think I can or will do it by my own hand(although I have given up on love for now- romantic love anyway, I am trying to learn/understand more about all the other types of love right now. I don't believe I will meet my "twin flame" in this life. It doesn't seem like a possibility for me, and if I can't even believe it could happen for me then they say it won't). There is one thing I know that if it happened to me might cause me to but luckily that has not happened in this life. Only in past lives so far, even the remembrance of that was extremely painful, and to know that I may have gone and committed that after, in another past life as well. I've been wanting to meet a spiritual guide/guru and heard the Tibetan saying that Linda repeats so often (when the student is ready the teacher will appear) many years ago and have been wondering if I will ever find mine, I guess I'm just not ready yet, although I have found people who have helped me along the way, I don't feel like I have a definitive teacher/guide.
If you want to give me your email I would like that but I don't know what else to say right now. I am very curious about your personal story too but don't want to push by asking and certainly wouldn't ask you to post it here.

Hello everyone!!

I just read the immortality chapter but I was left with many doubts about it. I do believe it's possible though.

My concerns are mainly about my mother, I am really close to her and I'm sure I've been with her in many past incarnations.

Now what if I get to be immortal but she doesn't?? I couldn't stand the eternity without her.

I think my concenrns could be resolved if only I met my avatar but 'til then, I'm really doubtful.

I hope you can help me with this predicament.

Cheers!!

Welcome LLaleiro7!!!

With sincere hopes of erasing doubts and in regards to your concerns about your mother, you may want to reread this section in the Immortality chapter of Linda Goodman's Star Signs...

quote:
Yes, physical immortality-eternal life in the material sense-was the original cornerstone of all religions, worn away by the ravages of illusionary time, and replaced by false deathist dogma and doctrines. The Christian Bible says accurately that "God hath put eternity into the heart of man." And into the heart of woman too.

Yet today's religions, and even the new occult movements, continue to sell the "glory of death" concept.

During recent years there have been various attempts to break the stern and dreary deathist philosophy by portraying the experience of death as almost a fun thing, floating around like a balloon in the ethers, and gazing down on the discarded cocoon of the flesh body-or flying dreamily in and out and around the Moon or Pluto on a glittering silver cord, in what is intimated to be a kind of practice session for death.

The "silver cord" is actually seen by the Third Eye as sparkling silver, possessing an unlimited stretch capacity, and is not only a visible cord-but also an audible (to the inner ear) [/I]musical chord[/i] of extremely high frequency. In one of the incidents dramatized in the television mini-series Out on a Limb, actress Shirley MacLaine remarked that her own astral trip on her silver cord ended the instant she imaged "limitation," when she wondered if her silver cord would stretch far enough for her to actually touch the Moon she saw herself approaching. True. A thought of any kind of limitation instantly blows the fuse in all attempted magic, including the magical reality of physical immortality.

All these attempts to erase the dread of death are admirably motivated. They're saying, in effect, "Don't be afraid. Dying is a marvelous trip. You'll love it!" But such images are impotent to defeat and permanently destroy death. They succeed only in making it a shade more palatable, and they certainly don't do anything to comfort the bereaved, those grief-stricken loved ones left behind when the dead go flying off into the cosmos on their silver cords.

These silver-cord-astral-trips may occur during sleep, or in trance, under the proper conditions, but they are not "mini-deaths," and are not "dress rehearsals" for an inevitable and final "crossing over".

By the way, it's interesting and meaningful to contemplate the similarity between the silver cord attached to the body while astral traveling (or dying) . . . the umbilical cord of the newborn infant, attached to its mother . . . and the cord attached between the mother ship (space capsule) and an astronaut landing on the Moon. The three experiences are closely related.

Today's religious leaders on the stages of church, synagogue and television who are so cheerfully selling death as pie-in-the-sky, somewhere out there in the-great-by-and-by, having failed dismally to manifest the third and fourth lines of the Lord's Prayer: Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done . . . on Earth, as it is in Heaven. They have not been successful in creating Heaven on Earth, and they never will be, the way they've been going about it. Religions rely upon the goodness of their various founding Immortals to bring about such a miracle.

SOUTHERN CROSS - CROSBY, STILLS & NASH

Got out of town on a boat goin' to Southern islands.
Sailing a reach before a followin' sea.

She was makin' for the trades on the outside,
And the downhill run to Papeete.

Off the wind on this heading lie the Marquesas.
We got eighty feet of'a waterline.
Nicely making way.

In a noisy BAR in Avalon I tried to call you.
But on a midnight watch I realized
Why twice you ran away.

Think about how many times I have fallen
Spirits are using me larger voices callin'.
What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten.

I have been around the world,
Lookin' for that woman/girl,
Who knows love can endure.
And you know it will.

When you see the Southern Cross for the first time
You understand now why you came this way.
'Cause the truth you might be runnin' from is so small.
But it's as big as the promise - The promise of a comin' day.

So I'm sailing for tomorrow - My dreams are a dyin'.
AND MY LOVE IS AN ANCHOR TIED TO YOU - Tied with a SILVER CHAIN.

I have my ship and all her flags are a flyin'
She is all that I have left - And Music is her name.

Think about how many times I have fallen
Spirits are using me larger voices callin'.
What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten.

I have been around the world,
lookin' for that woman/girl
Who knows love can endure.
And you know it will.
And you know it will.

So we cheated and we lied and we tested.
And we never failed to fail; it was the easiest thing to do.
You will survive being bested.
Somebody fine will come along make me forget about loving you
in the Southern Cross.

(Words & music by Stephen Stills, Richard Curtis and Michael Curtis)

Got the Wings of Heaven on my Shoes. I'm a dancin man and I just can't lose. You know it's all right. Its ok. I'll live to see another day. We can try to understand the New York Times' effect on man. Whether you're a Brother or whether you're a Mother, you're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

I want to live forever because I love life. Yes, the world can be a crazy place to live and people talk about the end of the world being nigh. But then why am I not afraid? Because somewhere deep down inside I feel that I need not be afraid or worry about that. I trust my spirit and it is telling me that no matter what happens or how ugly things may get it is not going to be the end.

And you know what? Linda Goodman has changed many lives through the teachings she has learned along the way. She was especially passionate about teaching the path of immortality to as many people as she could. She may have passed on but in doing so, perhaps she has also left those of us who are on the path of immortality to our greatest test.

I have some answer for you, Laleiro, though i doubt if you'll read it. It's been a while... Thing is, if you get to be physically immortal and your mom doesn't, she can still come back to you in HER next incarnation, as a close friend or perhaps as a child... Then you may teach her about physical immortality and she may join you... Won't it be awsome? Anyhow, if you are so close you will never part, only temporarily...

Another great reason to be physically immortal is the ability to tell your children that they won't have to die. It is hard enough to bring children to a world of pain and suffering. I am not a mother myself, but were i a mother, this would be extremely important to me. Plus, my children won't have to lose me!

Ayelet! Love and touched by what has been shared in this thread {{ }}

What you wrote in your post? It immediately reminded me of this song!

(Note Choir of "Children" ^ as they become revealed... the symbolism is so thrilling. I hope that's meaningful to you, dear Ayelet. Not just the children of the body, but also children of the Spirit of Love within each one of Us.)

I'm NOT meaning this Beautiful song in a churchy~religious way. (I don't think it's bad at all, comparatively, so that's why I went ahead and posted it.) {I don't mean any offense to any religion~~ I think the text can be 'reframed' into a more Universal Language.}

{Edit to ADD THIS paragraph, 909pm... ehhhh, maybe song can seem 'more churchy' than I thought~~? Although I certainly do NOT mean that way. See the work more as you would a work of Art, more like a Painting in a museum of Art. I feel that someday, all the 'barriers' of speech will disappear 'in our collective awakening....}

Listen to some of the wording, and the feeling this music evokes...

I long for that Beautiful Collective Experience... I'd love to be still 'here' when there's A Day when We 'find ourselves' lifted inside in that Swell of Consciousness, like a Water of a type of Spiritual Swelling tsunami of consciousness. A Conscious Collective Awakening. When we can See All in plain clear Light. Where we All 'feel' Aware at-once of the 'Collective Great I AM/We ARE', both all around us in the etheric palpable atmosphere, but in our own inner-Light from that throne-place inside our Selves.

Illuminated... Many, ALL 'at the Same Time'... Looking around at everything and 'Seeing' plainly our Common Bond, in separate Different Expressions, co-experiencing simultaneous Clear Light, for as Long as It Can or Will Last.... One Rising moment of Shared Experience. Immortal

The song is lovely, Mirage, and so are your words. I believe in the present-future rise of mass consciousness toward a more happy and spiritual way of living. There is still darkness in certain places upon this earth, but i truly brlieve that it will be overcome in this era that has just started. Let there be no more tears, then, unless these are tears of joy!

Oh, I'm sooo glad you really could Listen, and that you heard (and do Hear) the same cosmic notations as I. Yes, a new social BEingness. Your words hum and sum what the song expresses.

Let there be no more tears, then, unless these are tears of joy! and Hugs!
