law of attraction is interesting, and i agree with a lot of it and then not care for some of what they say. one thing is that my mother told me when i was a child, "if you really desire something, you will have it". i didn't understand the meaning of it, but it stayed with me. it's an old concept that was with me since decades before i leant that there is an "official" name to it.i think a lot of people are misinformed with this law of attraction idea. it's a state of mind and not what one thinks about. a lot of people say "so if i really really try hard and think about money and want money and hope for money, it should come, but i'm poor! so it's rubbish, it's not working!" it's not about wanting. just wanting peace will not give us peace. it's about believing. which is easier for us to achieve, in this time and space, to have a spotless belief that the perfect world peace is absolutely possible, or that there will be violence somewhere in the world everyday? and which do majority of the world population do believe? MLK jr. achieved the change, because he didn't just WANT but absolutely BELIEVED that this was possible. and he was able to achieve HIS desire by moving other people, not with his WANT but with his BELIEF, and making it also the other people's belief, multiplying his own belief.
me, i have achieved most of what i believed as a child by now. when i was very small, i believed that the country i was born in was wrong, that i was not supposed to have been born there. i don't know where that idea came from, and i also did not speak the language well. i also believed that i would live a bohemian life in marginal communities. i believed that i would be a singer, an actress, model and also that i'd never marry.
i moved across the globe and have lost most of the contact with my birth place now, and even lost much of my mother tongue. i've lived in marginal communities in different countries, although small i acted in a film, sing in a band, have modelled for artists and fashion shows and magazines, and have never married. these things were already lined up for me because it was my belief. they were not my hopes or desires, but i perceived them as something that was meant to come, without any explanation for it. i never actively thought about them, but it was just at the back of my head like i expect air everyday. and although i WANTED to get married on several occasions, i couldn't, because again, it was my firm belief that i'd never get married. now, i WANT money, but it's not coming (yet!) because it's not believable for me that i suddenly make money right now, no matter how much i WANT it. i have to start believing in it. i don't really know much about karma stuff. America is a very prosperous nation. Market corrections are cyclical. Property values couldn't keep going up 20 percent every single year indefinitely in California, for instance...or 50 percent in Vegas. This one was worse than normal due to the number of bad loans made, but we have had corrections in the past (1990 was a bad one, but people forgot about it).------------------

If the USA is a prosperous nation, that proves the law of attraction doesn't work. Based on its foreign policy, the USA should be attracting, espionage dirty tricks, secret torture, murder and robbery.------------------

I see the LOA working all the time. One of my friends keeps saying how he always has bad luck, and if you listen to him talk, you can see the correlation. ------------------

It works on a personal level, but it does not avoid war and plane crashes, which affect "lucky" people as well.
